I HIGHLY recommend this practice for many reasons. Every person in this office from the front desk to the nurses to the doctors themselves, is friendly, knowledgeable and always make me feel very comfortable. I have been seeing Dr. Ellis for at least 10 years and have always received TOP quality care from her and her assistants. Every question and concern addressed, every step was explained. Dr. Ellis is very personable and kind, compassionate and definitely cares about her patients. I received a procedure from Dr. Schoen and received the same treatment. . Always, always a positive experience.

Saw Lisa Wessel and she's a great nurse practitioner. Be aware that it takes three visits to have an IUD placed (my insurance covers only two) The first visit was about two minutes long and cost over a hundred dollars. But that's mostly my fault for not getting enough information. The real struggle I have with these offices was after I got on the payment plan they called me incessantly saying I owed them money. I said I was on the payment plan and they said that wasn't true. But it was. They said it would be sent to collections by the end of the week. I paid the balance off with my credit card. Today, I received another call saying I still owed them the money. (If I hadn't paid it wouldn't it have gone to collections... like they threatened....?) The exact amount of money they were demanding was charged in my account and they had the nerve to argue that I hadn't paid it. Luckily, I asked for a payment receipt or I would be out of luck and accountable for that money AGAIN. I read them the numbers and name of the woman who billed me on the receipt and they (dismissively) said they would check with the offices. I feel like I'm being scammed. Totally not a great experience. Bottom line: If you seek care here, please make sure you get receipts for everything! Or go to planned parenthood where they won't make you drive to their offices for two minute long visits and disregard their established payment plans.

This is my first pregnancy and the people here have been great with me. The only reason I am not giving them a 5 star rating is because , my Nurse Practitioner talks so fast and just rushes out. It just feels like she's in a rush to get out. I would love to just have her slow down and explain things better.

No big surprise considering the reviews, but they screwed up my first prenatal appointment time...I even called the day before because I hadn't received a confirmation and they told me MULTIPLE times that the appointment was at 11:30 am. Got there at 11:15 to discover that they had 10:30 in the books. I also called them when I first found out that I was pregnant to inquire about some medication that was dangerous and they promised that an assistant would get back to me that same day for three days. I finally told them I would wait on hold until I could actually speak with someone. I don't care how busy your office is, don't tell a client you will return an urgent call and then just leave them in the wind. Not on the medication anymore and will definitely not return.

Dr. Heather Schoen has been my doctor for almost 14 years and I can't say enough good things about her and the practice. I have worked with and seen countless doctors over the years, and by far, she is the absolute best! I have never had a negative experience in all the years I have been going there. Highly recommend.

one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with medical professionals from start to finish. from rude doctors and receptionists to scare tactics, misinformation, hidden fees, straight out lies and an overall lack of respect for their patients, I’d avoid this place like the plague. Switched practitioners over a month ago and am now having to take legal action to get a clean break from them. I’ve heard more and more horror stories from women and even previous employees, about being mistreated and disrespected here. If you still really want to try them out, I’d recommend really getting familiar with your rights as a a human, a patient, and a parent beforehand, because they will try to challenge them. My experience was completely heartbreaking and scarring and I can’t get that back. Hopefully I can steer someone else towards a healthier situation.

Just want to come on here as a health care professional myself, I have never wrote a bad review but this I felt was incredibly un-professional. I was referred to this office by my sister and they delivered her baby. I was told at the beginning of my pregnancy that I would only need to be seen once a month until it get closer to labor. This office feels to me like they are very money hungry and not for their patients. At each of my visits it doesn't seem as if they care about my overall health besides spending 45 min waiting in the room for my appointment and then their 5 min appointments with me, which was something that could have been discussed over the phone, I am paying a hefty amount of money per visit I should at least get my moneys worth. Besides one of my visit with Lisa Wessell . She was very kind and interacted with me. Apparently this office goes out of their way by calling the insurance company and getting an "estimate" of the patients portion and then they decide what to bill you at each visit. I pay a large amount at each visit because of what they came up which would be my portion , I have no issues paying it and I understand when they need it by. Each visit they collect their large " copay" and then I get seen for my short appointment that I spent a ton of money on. So when I come out of my appointment they let me know that I owe them even more money then what they originally quoted me which is fine I'll pay it with out any issues, because I understand it was from my first appointment that I had with them and they did not have my insurance information entered in yet. Keep in mind though this "extra bill " is for an ultra sound they did at my fist appointment even though I gave them my ordinal ultra sound that I paid for else where, had I known there would be an extra charge I would have not gotten on. But when I came out of my last appointment they had a group of ladies at the front desk making me feel like a criminal and accusing me of walking out with out setting up a payment plan. Which I did not, in fact when I did get dismissed from my appointment i walked straight up to the counter and set up payment plans as they continued to sit there and say thank you for not leaving, and insisted I pay even more today after already paid my " copay " 2 times this week. Since they couldn't schedule me on the same day. As I was leaving my appointment she said thank you for not leaving and getting this taken care of as all the patients waiting in the waiting room stare at me like I am some kind of criminal and was never my intention to walk out , considering I still needed to schedule my next appointment. I have always paid my bills on time, and the bill will get paid.. I will cancel my up coming appointment and be going somewhere else. I did nothing to deserve that, I didn't even make a seen as I probably should have. This office is not friendly , they are not personable they do not care about their patients and they just want their money and will nickle and dime their patients. Keep in mind I have worked in medical and dental office most my career and never have I seen anything ran this terribly. Patients don't deserve to be treated like that. I dont care to come back to this office, wont be recommending friends there. I'm looking out for my health and my new baby , I will pay the right people to take care of us. I would never treat patients at my offices like this.

I just moved to Colorado and needed a new Gyno. I contacted Associates in Women’s Health because they took my insurance, and I really lucked out! Everyone was very nice, Dr. Schoen took the time to sit down and talk with me for quite a while. Not like a lot of doctors who rush in and out. I have only been in one time, but I am looking forward to seeing Dr. Schoen for my future medical needs.

Very rude abrupt didnt let me tell her what I needed to be seen for judgemental. Was told I needed to call her back she had another person on hold. I unexpectedly ended up giving birth at Lutheran hospital and thus, unexpectedly had Dr. Ganter attend the birth. Her bedside manner leaves something to be desired, she seems cold, uncomfortable and very impersonal. She did not entertain the idea of any of my birthing wishes, she broke my water without consent, she pulled my foley bulb while still inflated (ouch!) and although I asked not to be coached while pushing (as this was my 3rd birth and I felt confident in my own experience), she continued to yell at me to “bear down and push hard” when there was absolutely no need. The 6 week postpartum visit was completely a waste of time, as I spent far more time waiting then I got face-to-face with the Doctor. There was no actual concern whatsoever for my wellbeing, it seemed much more like a formality to her than a career she seems to care for. Dr. Ganter doesn’t seem to be good with people, nor good at birthing babies. I hope she goes into research instead.

If I could give this office negative stars I would. Ladies PLEASE think twice about this office! I had been going to this OBGYN since I moved to Denver in 2008 once a year for my annual. When I got pregnant in the fall of 2015 I called and made an appointment to confirm pregnancy, etc. A few weeks after I tested positive I had some bleeding. I called very upset and didn't know what was going on. The person I spoke to when I called to ask if this was normal put me on hold and came back and told me I was having a miscarriage. I was in tears. I asked if I could speak to a Dr because I wanted to see if this was normal. She told me no. I then asked if I could make an appointment ASAP to make sure I hadn't lost the baby. She told me no. Then she proceded to tell me that if I was bleeding through a pad an hour to go to the emergency room so that I wouldn't bleed to death. Then she said to make sure I took a pregnancy test in a few weeks and cancel my 8 week appointment so I wouldn't get charged the cancellation fee. I was so scared I was losing my baby and she wouldn't even let me talk to anyone. I immediatly got on the phone and called another Dr's office I had seen in my neighborhood. I explained what had just happened to me and they got me in the very next day. I had an ultrasound and my new Dr held my hand and told me that what I was experiencing was normal and this happens to a lot of women. I am writing this review a few months after my baby's 1st birthday. I wasn't having a miscarriage. This office didn't care enough to even let me come in just to make sure. Thanks to them I spent my entire pregnancy on pins and needles because they scared me so bad. That is not what I am looking for in someone who cares for me and my unborn baby. I would urge you to think twice before considering going to this practice. There are doctors and offices out there who care. This is not one of them.

The only negative I could even give to this practice is that they do not take medicaid for preventative care/annual exams. Dr. Schoen was there for me through both of my pregnancies and was AMAZING!! After 12 years I had to switch doctors due to insurance changes. The staff has always been wonderful to me and my family!

I always have a great experience at Associates in Women’s Health! I started coming here about halfway through my pregnancy because the place I was receiving care from before was terrible. The front office ladies are always super friendly and helpful. The nurses are awesome and have never left me waiting more than five minutes to be taken back. I have seen all the practitioners at this office through my pregnancy and all of them have been equally amazing. Highly recommend for any ladies out there that are pregnant, or just seeking regular care.

This place is very money oriented. They aren't personable and didnt seem to care about my concerns. I always arrive early for my appointment and am left waiting long after my scheduled time. Also, make sure you never miss an appointment because they will call you asking to reschedule and then tell you they are sending you a bill for not showing up. I called and asked if they could remove the fee since I have been a patient for years and this has never happened ( an honest mistake) and the lady I spoke with, Kimberly was incredibly rude, nasty and unforgiving. I am paying their fee but they are losing my business.

As a preliminary matter, I never managed to see an actual doctor there, so this review is not reflective of doctors' competence. I called them to make an appointment as a patient who graduated from a fertility clinic and had had two ultrasounds to monitor the pregnancy, as well as numerous relevant blood tests. Their operator told me that my first appointment would have to be "to confirm the pregnancy." When I tried to explain that I need to skip this step given my prior history, the lady became very agitated and said that this is their regular practice/standard way to do things. I was not going to have them bill my insurance for useless "standard way to things" because this is clearly a sham and a way to make money, so I politely asked to double check. She allegedly did, told me that I would not have to go through this first step, but she was not sure how to even put me in the system, so she would have to speak to a doc who was not available at the moment. And yes, she was very rude and impatient. She took my number and told me she would call me back. It has been 2+ weeks, and the call back is yet to come. Needless to say, I am not going with their practice even though their doctors may be good. Great indication of how things are done - or not - from the admin perspective, very rude attitude. Fire your support staff and get your books in order - preferably without committing insurance fraud.

Their appointment scheduler only works one day a week and never returns calls. Doctor doesn't listen and just wants to do expensive surgery. Had to go to another doctor to find out my issue was a simple fix in my exercise plan, not needing anything at all let alone major surgery. Then it took them 6.5 months to bill me for all the testing, but within a week they were calling me asking where my (already mailed) payment was. Terrible. Changing doctors and going away from Assoc. in Women's Health all together.

My experience with this facility was bad From start to finish. Setting an appointment with Debbie who was so rude and talked over me when ever I asked a question but what really got me was when she said I couldn't shop around for OB/GYNs. Of course I'm going to want to visit others to see which doctor I like best. Once I had an appointment set I was running15 minutes late which they consider a missed appointment that I had to pay $50 for. Once I got to the appointment the red haired lady at reception was not very friendly and asked me to hurry up and fill out the paper work. But the worst out of this whole experience was when I got to the back to be seen by Lisa. When she went to do an ultra sound she acted like she didn't want to at all and couldn't find my vagina hole so I had to put the ultra sound wand in myself. Just so unprofessional. Oh and they charge $300 extra out of pocket to do a chromosome gender reveal when Partners in women's health does it free. This place is horrible I definitely recommend Partners over associates.

They were very rude but are willing to charge you for another appointment so you can be seen for 5 mins for results. These ladies addressed me by name, updated me on everything that was going on, and were incredibly friendly. This office is absolutely amazing. I see the nurse practitioner Lisa Wessell and she has been just wonderful. It’s obvious that she truly cares and listens and wants her patients to be healthy and happy. I’m a very young woman in surgical menopause and it’s been a struggle to determine what is the best treatment and Lisa has been 100% dedicated to helping me be healthy and happy. She cares about her patients well being as a whole and that’s so rare and special. In addition, the office manager Kimberly is SO KIND and CARING. I’ve never had an administrator treat me with so much compassion. She answered all my questions and took the time to help me understand costs and the most efficient way to receive effective treatment. There aren’t many admins who would do that and I can’t thank her enough for her patience and understanding. I’ve been to several other doctors and no one is more dedicated to their patients than this office. Healthcare is a business but this office is clearly focused on helping their patients. I had lost hope in finding help until I found these people. Not only do they listen but their recommendations are trust worthy. You don’t get a lot of honest healthcare professionals in this world but this group is among the few. I can not recommend this office enough!

If I could give a lower rating I would. This facility is a complete nightmare. I visited during my sister's appointment with her and our mother. Doctor Python was extremely dismissive of all of my sister's symptoms, including severe cramps and painful cysts bursting. She was told by Python that it was completely normal, and that she should just "Try ibuprofen." Keeping in mind that Endometriosis runs in our family. Following this Python attempted to perform a pelvic exam on my sister, was not gentle in the slightest and ended up severely hurting my sister, who left the facility sobbing because she was in so much pain. Avoid at all costs.

Only clinic that would see my wife when she was having issues at 6 weeks pregnant. They saw her on a holiday. Have been going to them for the whole pregnancy. They are always helpful and willing to see us when we are concerned. Never have had an issue with the staff, they are all friendly and attentive. My wife will continue to see this practice even after baby comes. Will and have recommended to friends.

Bad experience. Unprofessional front desk, medical assistant Lia gave me an attitude, no respect for patients. The front desk lady yelled at me in front everyone that I need it to wait until he made the test to schedule my appointment for ultrasound with (specialist name), everyone heard her. Other patients should NOT hear about the test that I and my partner need. Not coming back!

I do not recommend this practice at all. Before my visit, I did the responsible thing and called ahead to find out how much a very common procedure (pregnancy confirmation test & ultrasound) would cost, and was given what I later learned was a completely incorrect answer by the front desk. (However, by the time I received the bill 2 months later, there was no accountability and no one seemed to care at all that I was being charged FAR more than I had originally been told). At my actual appointment, I got some sad news and was then rushed out the office by an assistant in awkward silence. A simple "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way but instead Dr. Schoen literally saw me coming and then turned her back as I walked past her to leave. Honestly, that is the interaction that cemented my decision not to return to this practice. I didn't even go to my follow-up appointment because I wasn't willing to repeat the process of uncertain billing costs combined with an uncaring staff. Unsurprisingly, no one called to ask why I hadn't come. I will be switching to Baby + Company, which is a midwife/birth center practice in Arvada, for all of my future well-woman and prenatal care. I have been there for 2 appointments (followup from a m/c and a well-woman checkup) and they are always able to easily tell me exactly what my estimated insurance costs will be. Spoiler: IT COSTS LESS THAN A TRADITIONAL OBGYN OFFICE AND IS FAR BETTER IN EVERY WAY! They still refer patients out to a doctor for medical testing and ultrasounds, but even then they are always able to tell you exactly what a procedure will cost beforehand. Of course doctors are necessary to treat medical conditions and complications of pregnancy and women's health, but for me personally as a healthy woman with low risk factors, my needs are much more fully met by the certified nurse-midwives at Baby + Co.

Poor communication with the patients. You do not get one set doctor if you are pregnant. They will blame you for not reading their policy thoroughly if you get something wrong, even though its a mass amount of information you get at your first visit. I specifically asked what was going to be charged to the card I had to have on file and they only said if I was unable to pay a bill or for emergencies only. My husband was with me when I asked and he can testify this is what they said. They will charge your card on file for all your bills unless you call. To much of a hassle. They do not send a paper copy of the bill to you. Each person there has a different idea of how things work in the office so you are constantly getting wrong information. It is more work to go to this place than you are actually being cared for. I am not impressed. The financial responsibility sheets are also very unclear. Do not recommend. Hold times are long and you get treated as a number, not as a person.
