Staff charged me a copay when none was due , never refunded , Dr ramy cured my acid reflux ,but hiatial hernia came back after 6 months , needs to be redone . on an unrelated note , Dr Ramy saw me in a hospital room and stopped in and was very angry demanding to know why I was there , a most uncomfortable feeling .

This is not a review about his competence as a surgeon but the service his office provides. My wife was scheduled to get her gall bladder removed. We waited 3 months because of his busy schedule. The month leading up to the surgery we repeatedly tried to get final confirmation of insurance coverage multiple times. This was absolutely the worst experience considering the staggering cost of surgery if out of network. This office couldn't care less. 5 days before surgery after DOZENS of phone calls we find out he is out of network. I had a business trip I couldn't get out of so we flew her mother out costing quite a bit of money. We've now waited 3 months and spent a thousand dollars and the surgery is cancelled at the last minute. in the meantime my wife's gall bladder has been cooking in her body and we have to find ANOTHER doctor and get on their waiting list. This office couldn't care less. The level of indifference is absolutely APPALLING and should be criminal. We are beyond livid at being treated with such callous disregard.

Wished I could give a good review but the WORST customer service I have encountered. Office staff doesn't return calls. I met with Dr. Awad on 10-16-17 for a Lap Band removal. Everything was approved with the insurance by mid November. Waited till mid December, called his office staff and was told he would have to do the removal at a hospital 60 miles away and she was waiting for a schedule date. Waited two more weeks and called again, she was busy and would call me back. Well its May 14th and I am STILL waiting for that call and the lap band removal.. VERY POUR OFFICE STAFF! Update 06-27-18 I am happy to report Dr. Bobby removed my Lap Band last week and all is well. STILL NO WORD from Dr. Awad's office

Before I went to Dr Awad , my weight and diabetes was out of control. I was not able to do my job as well as before. I was on Insulin , Metformin , Trajenta, meds for kidneys , high blood pressure, medications for pain, Neuropathy, C-pap machine. This list goes on . My personality was completely different. But now I had my Surgery (Gastric bypass) and I do not take ANY medications. I feel wonderful, I am down 60 pounds and still going down. I was afraid at one time to have the surgery , but now I have a new life and a new me and I am happy. Thanks Dr Awad.

Dr. Awad and his staff are by far some of the best healthcare professionals in Southern California. I just had gastric sleeve surgery completed by him, he is thorough, patient, kind and can give you a straightforward answer to any question or concern of yours. My mom had gastric bypass from another Bariatric surgeon in the area, she did not have as great of an experience as I have had. I definitely recommend Dr Awad

Dr Awad is a caring and personal doctor. I first came to him and was interested in having the Gastric Sleeve. He told me I was a candidate for this surgery but he was concerned that with the procedure being so new at that time my insurance company would n to approve or cover it. He wanted to do the Lap Band because the insurance company would cover that surgery and if I was not happy with the results he would submit for the Gastric Sleeve. He was right all the way. Insurance company did just as he said they would. Dr. Awad has a great support staff and when you do a Bariatric surgery with him he provides a Nutritionist support, an exercise class and staff that attends to your needs right away. If I was to do the surgeries again I would do them again just as I did the first time with Dr. Awad. I know that this doctor keeps up with his education of what he provides as a service. I do highly recommend Dr. Awad.

Dr . Awad is a wonderful, caring and patient surgeon. He removed my troublesome Lapband and converted to a sleeve. He's very meticulous and treats you like a person instead of a number and a payday. I went from a size 14 to a size 6. My case was not easy as I have struggled with insulin resistance/PCOS since the age of 8. For the first time in my adult life @38 years old I am a healthy weight. I'm very grateful and I would encourage you to take the plunge and do something to help your self. Dr. Awad is the best; God bless him.
