My experience with Martin was not what I was expecting. I have a knee problem. My local orthopedist ordered an MRI. My results showed damage, plus water building up (baker cyst) - sprained and was in terrible pain. The local doctor gave me a knee injection. This did nothing to help. The pain was getting worse, and fluid was building up worse. I thought a good idea, would be to see the best. After reading reviews, I saw that Martin looked like the best in Arkansas. Since my local doctor really could not answer my questions about my knee. I went to see the best. I first had a very young doctor come in, bend my knee, made it pop and hurt, looked at my chart and said he did not think they did the MRI right. Next, doctor Martin comes in. He is an elderly man, and he did the same things the younger guy did. I ask him simple questions after explaining how this happened. He told me basically, he did not know why I have hurt for 7 months. He did not know why my leg was swollen. I thought, this guy is the best at this ??? He told me, we are going to do surgery. A scope ? I ask him to explain, and he looked flustered. He said, we will cut your knee in several places. We will go in and look around. Clean it up. I reluctantly let them schedule surgery. I cancelled surgery beforehand, and decided to go to therapy. Thank God. Why if, this guy is supposed to be the best at this. Why wouldnt he answer any questions about my knee injury ? Why do they spend bearly 2 minutes with you, bend your hurt knee in several positions only aimed at making you scream. Then, the genius, says with a deer in headlights look - I DONT KNOW. Like he had never seen my injury before. We better operate. Well, BS. You cant answer basic questions. your young doctor is very eager to chop my leg up and get their payday. If your only answer is to cut your patients up, and see what is inside, your way past retirement. Cant answer questions ? Way past your useful MD days. Teaching your underlings to chopem up, so you can make more money. Instead of having some compassion for a guy who has never had a knee injury before, is just a huge MONEY GRAB. Do us all a favor, take the money you have made from just chopping first, answering questions never, and quit acting like your the most qualified for this. Doctors answer question. I was scared to death of you, based on your bedside manner. You did nothing to reassure me that you would not make my knee worse. Because frankly, im sure you would have made it worse. Turns out, I did not need knee surgery. Just a good sports rehab guy. You knew this, and opted to make me think I needed to be cut on. Just to line your pocket. SHAME ON YOU. Signed, the guy who still has his knee in tact. No thanks to Martin Orthopedics. Money grab someone else. Thanks for reading. I get to walk away now. UPDATE - about a year later. My knee problem is much better. Best decision ever leaving this place. Cutting you should always be a last resort option. Money grabbing doctors are awful. Thanks

They took time to listen and didn't make me feel like they had somewhere else to be. That meant so much. They gave me cortisone injections (which I have had elsewhere in the past) but this time I had the best results. I got out of bed this morning without pain! I know that sounds trivial but not when all I've known is PAIN...EVERY DAY FOR YEARS. The pain is not only gone in my knees as intended but also in my feet and back for some reason. I'm sure it won't last forever but today I am not suffering for the first time in 3 years. THANK YOU

Dr. Martin performed both of my knee replacements three years ago and the results have been absolutely outstanding. His Christian spirit resounds within him and it was refreshing to feel you were in the hands of a skilled surgeon who was humbled by the responsibility before him. His staff from check-in to nursing to scheduling are top notch. I've had no post-operative issues and following surgery, if I did have a question, my call was promptly returned. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ken Martin should you ever require knee replacement surgery.
