Three weeks post op and I am extremely pleased with the job Dr RobertsRdid in repairing mymachillies rupture. FYI if you have same sort of injury a knee scooter from a medical supply store is a God-send compared to crutches.

This place does not respect patients time, even with an appointment. Twice now we’ve waited almost two hours after our scheduled time. For our post op appointment, they removed the boot and bandages and then left us in the room for 45 minutes as my ankle just throbbed. Even if Dr Armendariz is skill, his overall patient care is low. Additionally, the day of surgery my appointment was pushed an hour and a half back because the doctor took an unscheduled surgery.

I was very disappointed with my care from Dr Harmsen. I had 3 appointments with him and each appointment had an hour wait with the middle appointment having a 90 minute wait. I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere and getting medical records was a challenge. No return phone call and I was only able to leave voice messages. I finally called the new office to see if they had received records to be sure they were sent. I had seen TOCA in the past with great results, I had email evaluations after each visit but none after the visits with Dr Harmsen. I can see why. I will never return here.

I absolutely do not recommend and warn you about Toca! Dr armendariz did the surgery on my ankle a few years ago after a workplace injury. He made sure that my recovery took longer and forced me back to work, welding heavy steel pipe on a cast and crutches. He changed my work restrictions to whatever my work and workers comp wanted. When I called or emailed him I got no response. They forced me into my regular job less than two weeks after surgery. mig welding, grinding, lifting more than 50lbs. do not trust this doctor, all about the money. he gave me a pitiful sorry, did nothing for me.

I would highly recommend Dr Economopoulos. He not only did a great job on my knee (meniscus and ACL), he also made himself available by email to answer any questions I had along the way! I would not recommend TOCA physical therapy though. They are very robotic in their approach with patients, the actual physical therapist doesn’t spend much time actually working on you, and they don’t do the common things needed for recovery like scraping! As a result, I had a lot of scar tissue develop and ended up having to go back under for manipulation.

Dr Emerson was wonderful But when I had to have xrays the technician had me take my jewelry off. I had many X-rays of the same general area at Chandler Regional hospital in December and didn’t have to take my jewelry off. I was kinda rushed thru the whole appointment. But after X-rays we’re taken I was rushed to go back to my room I didn’t have time to put my jewelry back on. So I picked up my jewelry and went back to my room to continue filling out paperwork and put my jewelry in my purse. Have done this many many times over the years. The nurse came in with tray for an injection then doc came in to give injection. During this time gMy purse fell over and my jewelry must have fallen out somehow, in the room but it never has before for over 20 years . Dr Emerson escorted me to another area by reception to finish my paperwork. When I got home my jewelry was missing and I immediately called TOCA to see if it was there. Well no phone calls to me from security or office manager regarding this issue I was having. Someone has my jewelry and I would love to have it back.

I visited with Dr. Robert Calderon and was most pleased, especially after reading his bio online and then meeting the doctor who represented his educational experience. Dr. Calderon is thorough with his explanation of diagnosis, after x-rays and patient with his examination , providing a warm and caring environment, also giving the patient a surrounding most comfortable to be informed before leaving the office. Great doctors, however, when I called to cancel my follow up appt. since my knee was no longer giving me problems, I was told I would not receive my OFFICIAL results of the MRI if I didn’t come in for a visit. I asked her would there be an additional charge for the f-up visit and was told yes! SUPER disappointed that I went for the follow up office visit to learn that MRI revealed no damage. The dr was in the room for 3 minutes!!! WOW! It will be interesting to see what they charge my insurance and what I have to pay out of pocket for a 3 minute visit!

I had an early appointment with a doctor that called in sick, so I was then moved to see another doctor regarding a knee issue. The doctor that I met with said " I have no idea why they had you see me, I only treat arms and wrists", I asked the doctor if I had torn anything, and he replied by saying that he couldn't tell (I had rays done) and did not expand on why. I figured that because he was not a knee doctor that was why, which was not the case, I needed another type of exam done. I then proceeded to make another appointment with a knee doctor at that office, and on the day of my appointment the office manager pulled me into his office, and I shared the information above with him. The office manager then informed me that the doctor that I saw was indeed a doctor that know how to treat knees. My original appointment was a waist of time, money, and lack of treatment.

My first experience there was good. Then I call in and let them know that I have broken the same bone worse than it was a few weeks ago. Explained I am in excruciating pain, can barely move, couldn’t sleep, and they won’t see me till the next day because my doctor only works one day a week and I’ll have to drive to Tempe. But I live in Phoenix and can barely drive, this should be fun!!! This office is ridiculous!!! They would rather you be in pain and possibly damage it more, than go through the effort of getting you in to see another doctor. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!

This place treats you like you are nobody. They take more patients then they can handle. I spent 1.5 hours in this office only to see the Dr. for 3 minutes. He didn’t read my chart obviously, he didn’t even know what treatment plan he gave me, or what my injuries were. He just pushed me off to another Doctor which from previous reviews I hear is horrible! I will never go back to this place they are just rude and care nothing about the patients. If I could give them a zero I would.

My rotator cuff surgery corrected an injury that had troubled me for 10 years. My expectations were based on a surgery 46 years ago to correct a similar problem with my other shoulder. Recovery from the previous surgery was lengthy and difficult. In contrast, Dr Lederman performed an arthroscopic procedure that was unbelievably effective and minimally painful. With therapy, I had full range of motion by week 10 and could play golf by week 12. It has been about 14 weeks since surgery. I am still aware of some tightness in the shoulder, but am pretty much fully functional. It is hard to adequately express my gratitude for the results Dr Lederman and the therapists have achieved for me. I sincerely recommend the TOCA Team to anyone suffering with joint or bone pain.

I had a work injury and originally I saw eight different orthopedist Who took x-rays of my wrist told me I had torn cartilage and put me in a cast . The cast was so tight it was cutting circulation off to my hand. I had it adjusted three times before his office cut the cast off . At this point I felt very uncomfortable so I reached out to TOCA. My wife and I scheduled and got right in. My wife needed me as English is 2nd language for her. Dr Huston was rude with her not following his instructions...she was confused. Fine, moving on. Then he interputed me asking a question, presumably because I wasnt the patient, fine hes the Dr., then wife asked me not to comment to him when he comes back in on how rude he was being. Coming back in after diagnosis to discuss... "I know what u were trying to ask before" and here is the answer, he says to me. I then proceeded to tell him thats not my question, this is it. I barely got through when he proclaims "Whatever" and turns to my wife. Never have had an experienced Dr be so rude, quick, abrasive and a valley girl vernacular to boot! Staff was great and got right in so at least the employees got the 2 stars, but Dr. HUSTON was horrible.

This place was useless! My 19 year old daughter was hurt on a Friday afternoon while at work. This place would not even make an appointment for her to be seen on the following Monday with the approval from workers comp. She was seen at an urgent care facility, had x-rays and was dx with a broken bone in her hand and this place would do nothing. Who does that? After speaking to the workers comp people we were told all the provider needed was a claim number (which we had) to see the pt. We even have private insurance. They would not help us out at all. If your child is in need of orthopedic help do not call this place.

Hip replacement, replacement. Meaning second time in 5 years. First one by the VA Hospital nothing but pain for 5 years. About 97 percent satisfied. Have feelings of loose fitment. Sometimes has a gap feeling when I walk, as if slack is in the joint. Doctor dismisses it, say i should improve with time. Though I'll never return to his clinic again, as I'm a veteran, the surgery was through the VA. So, it's as good as it gets. THANKS.

When he walks into the exam room, you instantly feel like you have an ally. More than that, you feel like you can finally rest because he is going to fight for you. I hate to say that Dr. Harmsen was my 2nd opinion. Oh how I wish he had been my first. The time, the pain, the frustration I could have saved. He cares. TOCA is a large BUSINESS. You will just be a number and a $ to them. They have ABSOLUTELY NO personal care. Its nearly impossible to get anything done over the phone, such as passing on a message or getting your pain medication for your broken hand.Things get lost in the system continuously. Took over a week to get my tramadol for my broken hand. They seem to bite off more than they can chew and just herd everyone through like cattle. God help you if you need any special attention from these people. This might as well be an automated service. A really expensive one at that. Do your research in the area and look around. Dont let their 70+ years of "cattle herding" experience cloud your judgment. You won't even see one of those highly qualified doctors anyway, just one of their freshly picked up assistants who is also being "herded" through to be a doctor somewhere else with his own pyramid scheme structure. Peoples health shouldnt be treated this way. They were so bad that I actually cancelled my service with them halfway through and went to another orthopedic specialist to finish my casting. I seriously cannot put this into any kind of relatable measurement as to how bad this experience was. Your health is nothing to play with and bones are pretty set when they're done, dont let these incompetent swindlers wreck you like they did me.

Had hip arthroscopy with Dr. Economopoulos and it went great. The pain I had before is gone and now just rehabbing (also at TOCA which is also great). He is kind, attentive and spends quality time with you at appointments to make sure you understand and are comfortable. His team/staff are very caring and helpful. I got good energy right away from all the office workers. Coming from a bad experience with my primary care doctor, I was discouraged and feeling skeptical about receiving help. The receptionist was bright and quick. The assistant brought me back to the room before I could even finish my paperwork and shortly after that, Dr. Huston came to see me. He was attentive, helpful, and genuine! The X-rays were done in full, the technicians were fluid and made the experience very easy. Shortly after they were done, Dr. Huston came back to my room and reviewed the x-rays with me. He explained what was happening in great detail and humored me by answering all my questions. He asked me what I wanted for treatment and gave me his professional recommendations. I’ll be starting PT very soon and have scheduled a check-in appt with him for a month.
