REVIEWS OF Camelback Women's Health IN Arizona

Worst doctor's office I've ever been to. The nurse practitioner was very rude and didn't take time to listen. She then later lied about what she said during my visit. It was a horrible experience. The doctor itself is as rude and unprofessional as her nurse, I don't know how she even got her degree in the first place. They were unhelpful and made my doctors visits and my pregnancy a lot harder on me than it should have been. It was that bad that I left during my last visit, they didn't do anything that day and did not give me a refund. They lied again about the billing, they were not going to bill me but then as soon as I switched doctors they all of a sudden bill me anyway. I'm extremely happy I found another doctor at another place! If you have even the slightest doubt of going here, don't do it and find a better doctor! They are out there, but unfortunately not at Camelback Women's health. Oh and don't let these public replies foul you, that lady is, like all the other ones there, rude and unprofessional.

Very nice staff! Not a long wait.

I've been going to this practice for at least 3 years now and have seen Dr. O'Sullivan from the start. She delivered my first baby and has been seeing me throughout my second pregnancy. If you're looking for a doctor who is professional and hard-working, I highly recommend her! She is fantastic. Every nurse, nurse practitioner, and staff member who I have interacted with have all been wonderful as well. Whenever I have concerns, they call me back the same day and are always very caring. I'm so happy a friend referred me to this practice!

Becky Molyneaux

So grateful to this office. I was visiting Arizona for a few days and was 12 weeks pregnant. I started bleeding heavy and needed to find out if I was having a miscarriage. I attempted two other OBGYN offices prior who turned me away. The front staff at Camelback immediately took my concerns seriously and even though I would only be seen once by their staff and was from Out of state, they made me feel comfortable and calm during an extremely stressful time. They were able to squeeze me into a doctor who treated me as if I was one of his own patients. So grateful for the care I received from the front staff to the nurse practitioner and the doctor! Thank you!

Dr. O'Sullivan is an amazing doctor. She is professional and knowledgeable and will address your questions and concerns in a clear manner. She saw me for my whole pregnancy and I felt very cared for once the time came to deliver my son. Their patient portal is an easy way to access test results as well as communicate with your doctor.

If I could give -5 stars I would. DO NOT GO TO THIS OBGYN. The person in charge of billing will make you pay your bill twice if you don not hold on to ALL of your recipients. I was supposedly called multiple times about an outstanding balance (never received any phone calls) and they sent a bill I already payed to collections. The women on the phone was extremely rude. Not to mention the reason I went in for an appointment is because I was pregnant. With that being said the Dr. called me over the phone and without any kind of empathy or customer service at all she said she was pretty sure I was going to miscarriage. Who says that they are "pretty sure" youre going to lose your baby over the phone let alone at all??? Overall horrible experience and I will never go back! My family and friends wont either. Take you and your babies somewhere else!

Joanna Marie

Nicest & friendliest staff! Got to my appointment early and was seen when scheduled! Highly reccomend!

I had an appointment scheduled with doctor Traci Aldridge. I showed up and I was told my appointment was cancelled because she was not at work. I wasted time and gas unnecessarily. I'm really upset because this is unprofessional. I was not notified in advance.

I was referred to Julie Van Drunen for botox. I absolutely love Julie, and I love my results. She makes every visit so nice, and you'll not find anyone who can do a better job. Reasonably priced, highest quality and the nicest girl to boot! Julie referred Marcella Alderman for Microblading. I have done my homework, and Marcela is the best price in the area. She has done a fantastic job on my eyebrows, and she will continue to do as many touch ups as needed to make sure you are 100% satisfied. I couldn't be happier. Thank you Julie and Marcella!

Whoops called the wrong place. But the lady was nice on the phone

It was my first visit and I asked for an appointment with a gynecologist, a nurse practitioner examined me instead! When she was done, she wanted me to leave a urine sample, and just disappeared without having an assistant to help me. I was wandering in the hallway looking for help, found a staff and asked her, she just pointed to the bathroom without saying anything. There was nothing in the restroom to guide me where to leave the sample, and I was not given a labeled container or anything. I found a pencil and wrote my name on it, then I figured where to leave the sample, there was no room there though. I left my sample somewhere and got out to ask for help. When I came back another patient was using the restroom!!!!! And finally I went back to the nurse, she didn't even bother to tell me what my problem was. She was writing the prescription when I asked for her diagnosis. She told me to take antibiotics for a week, and when I ask if it was ok for me to take them as I had active GI ulcer, she just gave me a blank face and repeated herself!!!!!

Charlotte Dormigny

Front desk girl was insane rude to me for no reason right as I walked in. She even tried to shut the glass in my face while I was talking to her. I went in the afternoon when there was no one waiting and she still treated me like I was wasting her time. What a dumpster fire of a staff. I thought i found a new OB but i guess tf not.

After reading the reviews for this clinic, I would say most people are on point. The lady on the phone, specifically today was rude and unhelpful, but when I called to make my appointment and when I went in, the woman that was working was VERY sweet... so there must be 2 gals that work the front... a sweet one and a not so nice one. Anyhow, I had my annual exam here and It wasn’t a very pleasant experience (most never are) Doubt I will go back considering they don’t even call you with results. When I was on hold I heard about this portal where you can get info etc... but no one took the time to discuss with me. This place wants volume. Turn and burn... doesn’t seem like they truly care.

I’ve been going to this location for years. It seems as if the money is more important that the needs of the patient. I guess it is just the world we live in. I’ll be finding a new office.

Cynthia Wilson

The reception staff is super friendly I filled out paperwork before I came in so the wait wasn't long. I saw Julie and she's super sweet and knowledgeable. She makes the whole experience a lot less awkward.

Ahmed Amgad

This is the worst customer experience I have ever seen, they are so unprofessional. My wife had an appointment for the ultrasound and we were late 10 minutes on our appointment and We waited for 2 weeks to get this appointment then they told us that because we are late the technician is refusing to see my wife!! We told them that we will be away for two weeks and that it is really important for us to make it today even if we will wait they refused and when my wife was frustrated one of the receptionists her name is Nichol raised her voice with an ugly body language and said if you wanna talk come talk to me I’m the supervisor here and when my wife asked her not to raise her voice she was shouting that she is the supervisor in a very rude way then we asked to leave the clinic and no way that we can deal with such inhuman people like this clinic. Worth mentioning that all the times I’m on time I had to wait not less than 30 after my appointment to see the doctor!!!!

Worst experience ever.

I was not at my appt for birth control. the woman that treated me pressured me to get an IUD like a used car salesman. I felt she was getting some sort of kick back from the company that made the IUD because she was belittling to me when i refused to let her implant my body. also, without getting into my personal medical needs at the appt, I ended up having to pay out of pocket for 2 visits and 2 tests because they botched the first test causing me to have to go back a second time to it do it all over. I am currently looking for a compassionate & honest OBGYN, if anyone has any recommendations I would appreciate it. (camelback women's health representative that handles the reviews, there is no need to reply to my complaint, the snarky replys you have left for other reviews is distasteful)

I have been going to camelback Women’s Health for a few years now. I don’t know what I would’ve done without Julie Bergdale through the stress of my pregnancy..... I am truly grateful for her time! I also saw Dr Schwartz and she was fantastic too. Very calm and collected during my delivery. Love this office!

Camelback Women's Health has a wonderful facility with outstanding staff. I always feel comfortable here and never rushed when I have questions. So thankful for NP Jen for always being supportive and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this facility.

Don't worry: If you need your birth control, they've got you covered. BUT, if you happen to run out and it's on the weekend.. they won't page the on call doctor for it. So you will go a day or two without your birth control. Too bad if you want it, they will quite simply tell you they won't do anything about it.

My 4 visits to this place were awful I will not come back. So disapointed in this place , each time I go in they retro charge and last time my surprise I went in it was over $275 never a clear answer as to why I can not just be informed the day of as to how much that visit will be that day, all I was told "call our billing dept." -Dr. Faber sits down jots notes for her "Consultation" mind you never was I told she was Fertility Specialist and that my insurance did not cover --- yep to my surprise I was charged for that too--- So good luck getting straight answers from billing-This has never happend at any of the clinics I have gone to-Only thing I liked about this clinic was the how Nice Audrey is and Patient Portal- I am happy I am back to Arrowhead OBGYN with Dr. Sammantha.

I have been a patient of Dr. O'Sullivan's for years. I have also been seen by many of the other WHNPS, etc. I have never had a bad experience. Dr. O'Sullivan can be curt, but that's just her personality. She is direct, to the point, yet very compassionate and knowledgeable. I have been consistently happy with Camelback Women's Health and intend to be a patient for years to come. They have handled difficult situations with professionalism and concern.

My experience with Camelback women's health started off a little rocky. I was given unclear information as to what should happen at my next appointment. The next visit the same thing happened then I received a phone call a few hours before my appointment stating I was too early in my pregnancy to have the type of ultrasound that I had scheduled even though the NP Meagan was the one that told me to schedule this appointment. I cleared my entire day and was actually very excited to make this appointment because at this appointment I thought I have the gender revealed. The front office staff member that called me to inform me I was too early for this ultrasound even remembered making the appointment and also knew the confusion was not on my part. It was poor communication from back office staff. Then another visit I was told my baby could fall out by Dr. O'Sullivan herself because of a complication. The bedside manner that day left much to be desired. I was and have been from that point onward very stressed when going there. Then another visit I was informed my baby could likely be born with down syndrome. I was devastated by this news, I had to have another blood test ran to rule that out. Thankfully the test came back negative. I did not like the way that was handled either. I felt like every time I come in here I am getting hit left and right with bad newsThen another visit the front office staff mistook me for another patient and actually started going over another patients chart and financial information there at the front desk. Now I work in health care and understand that is a complete HIPPAA violation and if I wanted to really get them in trouble I could report them. 30-35 thousand dollar fine. By the third mistake I was done and I had to find a new doctor. I just could not continue dealing with the unpleasant unprofessional behavior. Not to mention every time you call you have to wait on hold for 5-10 minutes before you can even speak to someone, that was extremely frustrating. Glad to be done with Camelback women's health and now with a new OB/GYN that is on top of things and more professional.

Scheduled the first available appointment they had in the morning 8:30, and ended up waiting until 8:50 to get in/processed. Don't come here if you are on a schedule or pressed for time, they will keep you waiting!

I visited the emergency room and was told to schedule a follow up appointment with my OBGYN. I contacted the office and received the usual terrible phone service. I really like Dr O’Sullivan (she delivered my second child and I’ve seen her for years) so I thought it would be worth a try to stay with the practice even if I wouldn’t be able to see her specifically given that it’s an emergency situation. The next available appointment was two weeks away with a different doctor, Dr D’Santo. I’ve waited, in severe pain, for two very long weeks. I arrived at my appointment this morning at the Camelback location (after leaving work in South Chandler) and was told that Dr D’Santo was in a delivery and wouldn’t be able to return to the office (they stated that he had to do an emergency c-section, which is a complete violation of HIPAA) and wouldn’t be able to see me. No offer to see another practitioner or any attempt to try to make it possible for me to be seen today. No call or text ahead of time to let me know that the doctor might not be available so I could have at least made the decision to come before driving such a long distance. Nothing. Thanks for wasting my time.

I was a patient for years, and was excited to continue my care for my first pregnancy. That was a mistake. I frequently waited over an hour for my appointment. Dr. Nelson was often curt, rude, and belittling towards me especially when I was concerned about something. One day I had to see Dr. O'Sullivan instead of Dr. Nelson, she was even more rude to me. I brought up that I wasn't sure I wanted to keep seeing Dr. Nelson, and thought he was rude and that we had personality clash issues. She informed me that Dr. Nelson was the kindest most patient doctor in the practice and that clearly I was the problem, and that I wass non compliant as a patient because I had high blood sugar that morning. I was never offered first trimester testing, and found out from my next OB (I left the practice after the appointment with O'Sullivan) that I should have been seeing a high risk OB for my diabetes. When I got to the high risk they found complications caused by the "special diet" that he had put me on. he almost killed us with his suggestions . When I tried to complain to the office, I got blown off and honestly I have never been happier to leave a practice.

I just love Dr Nelson and his staff. He delivered my 3 grandchildren, my nieces son I go every year, and he's very good at explaining everything

I can't say enough good things about Camelback Women's Health, specifically, Dr. Schwartz & her nurse, Kristin! They have made my first pregnancy as stress free as can be. Dr. Schwartz (and Kristin) always accomodate me and have gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease. I had a miscarriage before conceiving this baby... Dr. Schwartz got me in at 6 weeks for an ultrasound to detect a heartbeat so that I could have peace of mind. She monitored me and baby closely the first trimester to make sure everything was looking as it should, which of course gave me so much relied and made me feel so well cared for. She has always done what she can, and more, to be a great doctor to me! I had a pregnancy brain moment and accidently brought my husband to an appointment that I thought was for an ultrasound... when I realized we weren't getting one, I told Shwartz about my mixup and she quickly told me to head into the ultrasound room so my husband could see the baby! I didn't even have to ask. She's just willing to do that for her patients. I can always count on her to be honest and thorough. She is direct and straighforward which I always appreciate in a doctor. If you are looking for a doctor who makes you comfortable and is sincere, then I recommend Dr. Schwartz! Ps- I also love all the NP at the practice who I have seen and loved, too!

Salma Miramontes

As a first time mom, I hoped to find a caring enough facility and doctor who'd be willing to answer my questions and at least pretend to show that they cared. Unfortunately, Dr Sullivan showed very little interest and rushed, she just wanted to get out of there! I expressed concerns with a pain near the abdomen and all she said was that it was "probably just one of many pregnancy pains". Didn't ask if there was any bleeding, other pains, headaches, etc... nothing! Extremely unprofessional in my opinion! All this after being seen 45 min late :/ Besides that, the front desk receptionists were very caring. Dr Nelson did the initial ultrasound and seemed very nice as well. Wish I would have seen him instead, probably wouldn't have left. I suggest if it's a Friday afternoon and doctors just want to get out of there, then don't schedule appointments at that time. Biggest waste of time. Not a beautiful start to my pregnancy.

I have been going here for years, simply for the convenience and because I love one of WHNP's (Dawn Huff-Nelson), and she is the only reason they are getting a star at all. I have tried both locations (Cactus and 32nd Street) and they are equally rude at both. Every time you call them to schedule anything they say "Camelback Women's Health, can you please hold?" EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. In twelve years I have never once had them not place me on hold for at least 5 full minutes before picking up the phone. Never a "good morning" or "how can I help you today?" In person and on the phone the support staff acts like you are huge inconvenience. A few years ago someone called to give me my tests results and told me I had an STD. Turns out, they read me someone else's test results. Bottom line, if it wasn't for Dawn, I would never return to this place; all around despicable service and staff for people dealing with the most sensitive feminine issues.

Reannon Crider

Will not work with you or listen to your requests, even though you clearly know your own body better. Especially, given it was my first time ever visiting this location. Needed to schedule a follow-up appointment and still refused to work with me. Going to see my old primary physician, because their explanations/rationale/logic behind why they won't work with you is not medically reasonable.

Maria Vălean

The only downside was waiting. Friendly staff, excellent pricing, great service.

Naomi Tanguay

I've been going here for 6 years. Dr. DeSanto and Audrey are absolutely fantastic. They both were with me through my first pregnancy and now my second. Highly professional, warm and great communicators. Everything is nice and clear and straightforward. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Schwartz dropped me as a patient at 31 weeks pregnant because of "failure to comply with medical advice." I only met Dr. Schwartz once at 28 weeks (you see a nurse up until your third trimester, which should have been my first indication to go elsewhere), and then again at 30 weeks. During my second appointment with her, I told her that I didn't feel comfortable taking the second, 3-hour glucose test. Before I could ask her what other alternatives I had, she started berating me. Her mood and tone changed immediately and she told me that my child could end up in the NICU and that Shea hospital and the medical team would be angry at HER if I didn't get my glucose test. She also stated she had concerns if I wasn't willing to be "compliant" with her. I was really taken aback and troubled by this and thought to myself, "Is this how she is going to treat me the day I am delivering?" I personally am not looking for a doctor who is looking for compliance. I am looking for a doctor that is seeking a partnership. Of course, I started crying (it was just me and her in the room) and, between tears, I expressed that I just wanted to feel informed, I wanted to know what my choices were, and I wanted to advocate for myself and my own care. She then told me she also wanted me to feel comfortable advocating for myself and that my other alternative would be to check my blood sugar at home 4 times a day. I told her I would be happy to do that. For a week I have checked my blood sugar and monitored my diet, and I was looking forward to my next appointment because there were no alarming blood sugar levels so far. However, I wasn't aware that the very next day, Dr. Schwartz had her staff send a letter in the mail saying she would no longer be willing to by my OBGYN. This is my first child and I wanted to have a positive experience and give traditional OBGYN offices a chance before exploring midwives. My experience has been par for the course with traditional doctor's offices. I felt disrespected and dehumanized. Pregnancy should be an exciting experience and it is really disappointing when the only part of your pregnancy that has caused you stress is the medical professionals that are supposed to do no harm. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this office.

Amanda Roundtree

While the staff is friendly and my visit (annual checkup) went smoothly their billing department is an absolute nightmare. They're playing games with clients and I'm not interested.

Having a difficult pregnancy made it so I got to have a special visit from each doctor and many of the nurses. I never had a bad interaction or appointment. Every single time I went in (which was A LOT) I felt at peace knowing I was in a safe place. Each staff member was kind and professional. My OB was Dr. O’Sullivan after Dr. Faber did her magic and got me pregnant. Her and her RN Karen are the only reason I would ever feel comfortable having another child. They took the best care of me and my situation. I had uncommon difficulty and Dr. O took action immediately. Any woman who thinks they may be suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarium should definitely considered Dr O for your care. I was a frequent flyer at CWH and I have nothing bad to say, besides when Dee Dee was out and they had a substitute phlebotomists. She was awful and would have rather been anywhere but work. Great place and great people!!

I'm in my second trimester and am having a wonderful experience with Dr. Schwartz. She has a great bedside manner and makes me feel at ease. I also really love the office's patient portal for all the ad hoc questions that I have in between my monthly visits.

Dr. Nelson is the best been with him thru all my pregnancies office staff is great too.
