I did not choose this office or the doctor, I was assigned through the ED at Banner Desert. After surgery on my shoulder, I never saw the surgeon again until my 2 week post op appointment. At that time I waited for xrays and again in the waiting room and the exam room. The doctor spent about 7 minutes MAX in the room with me but I was at the facility for 2 1/2 hours. I was given pain meds in the hospital and meds for at home. I ran out the day before my appointment and when I explained I was still in a lot of pain and unable to sleep, the doctor told me to take extra strength tylenol. Thanks, but that doesn't even work on a regular headache. Fast forward two weeks and I have another appointment as I had fallen, heard a "pop", went to ER and was referred back to my surgeon. My pain level had increased, range of motion decreased, and I still have trouble sleeping because of the pain. The doctor starts moving my arm (shoulder injury) to the point that I am full-on crying in the exam room from pain. I'm offered a tissue and again told to take tylenol. No soft-tissue imaging was ordered, I was told to go back to PT and resume my regular activities. So here I am 5 weeks post-op still with a significant level of pain, a surgeon who doesn't listen to my needs, no other surgeon willing to even evaluate me until I'm 90 days post-op, and no pain relief in sight. This office doesn't respect your time, the providers don't listen to your complaints, and I wish I had never been assigned to Dr. Michael McKee.

My appointment was for May 7 @ 9:15 but the receptionist got me in @ 9:15 today. Made my day. The Doctors were a pleasure also & had advised me there was no real bone problem with my knee it was more of the ligaments that were sprained. He gave me the option for a Cortisone shot which immediately helped but later got a reaction from it. But all in all I have to say the staff altogether were amazing. Banner hasn’t let me down yet. And I was in by 9:15 am & out by 10:00 am. Very professional

Terrible experience, would not recommend to anybody. I waited for two hours after my scheduled appointment time. They didn't let me know that I was getting an x-ray until they took me back to into the x-ray room. When I was finally taken into an exam room I heard some of the staff yelling at each other about a patient. When the doctor finally came in he spent less than 5 minutes with me and told me my MRI was normal which is not true because I have had two other doctors tell me there were problems with my spine. I hated this place and will never come back the patient care was abysmal.

My core institute Dr referred me to Dr. Chutkan, at Banner University. I made an appt to see Dr. Chutkan on Thur 7/11. On Tue 7/9 Banner called & ask me if I would like to come in on Wed 7/10, to see him ,since they had an opening. I rearranged everything so I could come in on Wed. Can you imagine my surprise, & anger when the one who came in to see me was the assistant!! I ask her who she was and where was Dr Chutkan. She said he was in surgery, that he wasn't even in on Wed! I am so upset. There is a reason why a perfectly wonderful surgeon refers you to another surgeon. FOR HIS OPINION....My husband had taken off work to take me from Northwest Phx to almost downtown!! They should have told me I was giving up my Dr appt for a consult with an assistant. I will now get another opinion from someone else, & will likely not choose to get my surgery here! Let me say that the assistant was nice.

Saw Anna Lyons the PA, who was very nice and friendly, for my first post op visit after my wrist surgery, but my six week follow up was with my surgeon Dr Michael McKee. Waited over 40 minutes to see him and he spent 5 minutes in the room. He twisted my wrist very roughly when examining me and dismissed my pain when I tensed up and asked him to stop. When I tried to ask questions he either dismissed them or started talking about something else. So, the few questions I attempted to ask were never answered, and I gave up on asking any others out of sheer frustration. Luckily I had a great physical therapist so don't anticipate needing to go back to him. But if I ever do have any issues with my wrist I will be finding a new doctor.

Doctors and MA staff are GREAT but front office staff is extremely rude. I’ve called a few times after my mother had surgery and I’ve spoken to the same girl, Latice. I have never been spoken to in such a terrible way with unnecessary commentary and disrespect. As someone who works in the medical field I cannot imagine speaking to patients let alone HUMANs in that way. Very unfortunate that these Drs and MAs that are wonderful have a front office staff like that representing them.

The scheduling of appointments at the office is horrible! Just drove from Sun City in bad traffic finally arriving and being told that my appointment was cancelled. They told me they tried calling me on 2/1 but didnt leave a message and never tried contacting me again. I did receive a voicemail on 2/15 for a appointment reminder for a different patient. At my last appointment was pushed back without notice so I waited an 1 1/2 hours to to have staples removed. When I had my surgery, I was scheduled at 9:00am. I got bumped to after 5pm! Unless Dr Chutkan himself calls me and tells me when he can see me, I AM DONE!! I will start my own Physical Therapy and hope for the best. UPDATE: I changed my one

not the best experience here, came here to get my back looked at. i was bent to the left for 2 weeks and could barely move. went to multiple doctors before going here because everyone was saying i needed an orthopedic surgeon. as i waited in the room to hear my results i could hear the surgeon complaining about how he needed a nurse practitioner and how he didn't have time to deal with people like me. made me feel horrible for even trying to fix myself. so long story short i will never come back here again.
