Clinic is misnamed. Although they will take new Medicaid patients, they will not take new Medicare patients. So don't get old folks, it gets harder and harder to find a doctor, even mediocre ones.

Great Staff and Awesome Doctors! Very professional, friendly and knowledgable team! Thanks for caring for myself and my family.

Would recommend to anyone. I have never had any trouble when coming here. Some of these reviews are almost unbelievable. Occasional long waits (max 30 min or so) , but that's any NORMAL doctors office, if you're getting respectable care. Add to that this is a walk-in clinic that also takes appointments. The staff has always been friendly, very knowledgeable, and professional. Down to earth, caring people. It's also always been very clean. I've always used this as a walk in clinic, but they have more or less become my PCP. Regardless of anyone else's reviews or comments, last time I was seen there, they saved my life. Thanks Patients First!

I had an appointment at 3 pm and I wasn't seen til 325 pm. The nurse Jasmine was awesome and attentive! I had the provider Lisa during my visit with her she wa great and really listened to what I had to say and we decided on some good treatment til I can see someone else. Then I was very displeased to get a call from Lisa she looked my name up on some site that tells all the prescriptions I've been on in the last year. I had a lot of ER visits due to back pain cause I was diagnosed with a back condition that causes pain and this year I had a cut on my finger which was major and I had to go to 4 different ERs cause I didn't have a primary care doctor to go to. I'm not from Alaska so not familiar with primary care and I didn't even realize I had Medicaid in February. So Lisa pretty much made me feel like a person seeking medications cause of my visits to the ER LAST year for back injuries, a finger I cut at work that I had to be seen for 4 different times to the Emergency room not a pain Doctor or her last year! Then she says you were supposed to disclose that with us, the forms nor any of the staff asked if I had taken any meds in the last year all it asked was if I'm currently taking medication which I'm not. Pain medication from last year and an injury I had this year due to work has nothing to do with an anti anxiety or anti depressant medication and I was very upset after that phone call with her it's not fair that since half the country is on drugs and if I really need something for my anxiety I get labeled that. It wasn't fair and she made me feel so uncomfortable and it isn't fair to be treated like a person faking my symptoms to get medication. I was nothing but truthful to her and I get labeled as that. I will not be going back.

I've never had a bad experience here. The doctors are very curteous, and the nurses have a great sense of humor. They always work with my finances, and I haven't had to wait very long, even as a walk in patient.

Jesse Perry

Had a last minute trip and ran out of a scrip because of my own poor planning :-( They were able to get the renewal processed in time for my trip. GREAT people there!

Steven Castoe

5 hours for an xray. Hour waits inbetween each nurse. Youre better off in the emergency room

Briana Phillips

Annoyingly unhelpful

I walked in at 5:30, it took 5 mins for anyone to notice I was there and then was told that they are closed and turned away. It was 25min. Til 6pm with no one in the office. The girl was rude and snotty. I would recommend going elsewhere if possible.

Karen Marlise Cowles

At the door I asked how much is the charge and was told $100. to $150. So I signed in and waited. Then a quick run through, shot and a $550.00 bill was handed to me. Then I am told a whole new line that first time clients are $380.00 (UNBELIEVABLE) from what their front desk told me! I am not OK with 10 minutes costing $550. for a allergy shot.... There is a very honest, fair priced walk in clinic on La Touche that charges only $85.00 now that is more like what a shot should cost.

Lindsey T.

They have misdiagnosed me numerous times in awful ways. My two favorite misdiagnoses include: When I developed a heart issue, they assumed I was doing drugs and would not listen that I don't and have never used until my pee test came back clean. Only then did they refer me to someone to treat it. They've also told me I had meningitis when I only had a bad sinus infection. This clinic is not worth anyones time.

I went in today on Saturday with bumps and intense pain in my shoulder. I arrived when they opened and there was one person who had an appointment before me. I wanted about 25 minutes to be seen. When seeing the Doctor, I was impressed with the amount of time and detail he went through telling about my diagnosis of Shingles. He prescribed the medicine, call in the prescription like he said he would. I have gone to urgent type care places in the past and they pump you through so fast you don't really feel like you had any care but this Doctor took the time and it felt like a real doctor's visit. If I need them again I will definitely go back.

Jason Fedeli

Took care of me when I needed it and my PCP was out of her office sick. Pretty high tech inside not like what you would expect from some of the urgent cares I have been to in the state. A bit more money than I wanted to spend, but hey half my deductible is met now. About on par with a normal DR office visit price so that's not bad. Just was quoted a bit cheaper, so minor annoyance. I'd go there again if I'm at work and my Dr in the valley is not an option. Good service good staff good rating

Didn't wait long and service was excellent!

First time there and was treated really good. Everyone was professional and kind. Will definitely be back.

They would not help me the front desk girl was very rude and very sarcastic. I needed stitches on finger she refused to help me

Mónica George

Excellent customer service!

Graysen Mcallister

Alright, while I have not been in here in a long time I feel that this is important to state this regardless, because although it is not a review of the service, it is a review of the service's responses to negative reviews. I was planning on coming in, but now realize this is the worst place to go, from looking at reviews. And not just because of the reviews, but because of the RESPONSES to them. They are completely innappropriate and are just dancing along the line of breaking HIPAA with the amount of information about each persons visit who has left a negative review. Completely unprofessional behavior, on top of the fact that people had complaints while there. Get a new social media/google review manager at the least for the love of god.

Sharai Mason

DO NOT COME HERE FOR CARE! They made me pay upfront for the FULL cost of my visit even though I provided a valid insurance card and should have had a $40 copay. I was told I would be reimbursed after my claim was filed and paid by my insurance. A month and several calls later, they have refused to file the claim with my insurance and are trying to steal my money. The should be called MONEY FIRST, because they do not care for their patients at all.

Abigail McSorley

Went there twice so far. First time I was treated very well. I had a booked appointment in the morning and everyone was professional and friendly. I had the lady doctor and she was great and very caring. The second time time I called ahead to see if they had any walk-ins for a pain in my side I was having, they got me right in and this time I had Dr. Jackson who was also great and caring. They are an in-network provider for Tricare Reserve Select so that's also awesome. Had two great experiences so far!

Sierra Ragusano

I've been coming here for years, since I was a little child. Walk in patients can take a little longer to get to yes but they do well and I'm very comfortable with all the doctors here.

Hannah Gershel

This is hands down the best clinic experience I’ve ever had at any clinic in Anchorage, or in Alaska for that matter. I was listened to, taken seriously, respected, and cared for every step of the way. Because I had to self pay for my visit, the team made sure to find a discount and a payment plan that worked for me stress free. As a trans person in a state with very limited and often misinformed transgender healthcare, I found Patients First to be a place where my name and pronouns were respected without question and my nurse and doctor genuinely wanted to know (and knew how to courteously ask) pertinent health information related to my transition. I would recommend this clinic to everyone, including LGBT Alaskans. Thank you so much!

GREAT PLACE... LOVE LOVE LOVE SARA SHE IS GREAT!!!!

Sherrice Gavillan

The medical staff is very professional, courteous, and incredibly friendly. The receptionist was amazing to us even when we were having an insurance mix up, and was very patient helping in getting it figured out. The wait isn’t too long, maybe an hour, but we were walk in so that not a bad time to wait at all. I also appreciate the honesty in not having staff that specialize in pediatrics when inquiring about my one year old with possible respiratory infection. I work in the ED at Providence and as wonderful as they are, I don’t always like to take my family there for situations that may not be emergent. Plus I have a large family and that could get pricey! I am greatful for the knowledgeable staff here! Thank you all for everything that you do!

Britney Travis

This place was a joke. Two gentleman and I all waited well over an hour yesterday and all they kept saying is "it'll be about an hour". Two of us got mad and just left. If you're going to be an urgent care, then act like patients have urgent problems. I was SO angry!

Taylor Hardy

Truly HORRIBLE. Customer service is non existent. Laws being broken even after me addressing it. To add more to the bad experience, they KICKED US OUT because they were close to closing WITHOUT us being seen. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere. Anywhere would be better. As a medical provider, I am absolutely appalled In response: Interesting. However, the interaction was a good amount of time prior to closing, opposed to “2 minutes.” Possibly consider the way you are choosing to go about responding to honest reviews. If I felt you had earned a better review, I would have given it. As for me, I’ll continue to guide people AWAY from you - that’s the lasting impression you left me with and I’ll ensure EVERYONE knows it. Best of luck with your BUSINESS (opposed to true patient care) Featured snippet from the web Photocopying U.S. government identification is a violation of Title 18, U.S. Code, Part I, Chapter 33, Section 701 and is punishable by fine and/or imprisonment. To anyone run the other way as fast as you can including VETS. This place is nothing but a "patient mill" The only responsible person who worked there, wised up and got out. The receptionist throws a board at you without even asking why you are there. Trying to get satisfaction is like pulling hen's teeth. In my opinion, no one there is competent be near patients. It takes an act of Congress to get the medication one needs for their specific condition. Again, stay away !! Dean Orlando RN, BSN, MS

They never try to help! Always try to print something for you to take it home as an excuse for money! Don't waste your time to this clinic.

The lady who took my vitals in the beginning was super nice and cool, But would never come back because they practically called me a liar when it came to my insurance and billed me $150 for a less than 10 minute thing... super irritating because I could’ve gone to an ER and it would’ve been free

Victoria Vang

It's not a 30 minute wait. I've been here for over 2 hours.

Dr. Sara is great helpful and polite.

Kacy Williams

Once again the people are amazing and truly care!! We will never go to any other place, no matter how long the wait

Kayla Fisher

Ridiculously slow

Lisa Taylor

We were 5 minutes early for our appointment, but because we had not filled out the new patient paper work we were designated as a walk in patient and made to wait for over an hour. We are still sitting here waiting. Another patient just walked in so we may not get in until after him.

Karen Graebe

Don't wait that long, good enough service.

Kyle Kuriatnyk

Went here only becuse of the wait at the other urgent care, should have just waited. Nursing staff was polite but incompetent. The "doctor" was sure to get my insurance and billing information before even asking about my ailments. I have been a firefighter/EMT for almost 10 years now, I knew I had pnuemonia. I told them that, even wrote it on the symptoms prescreening page they have along with all they symptoms that reasonably said pnuemonia over anything else. The "doctor" did not listen to what I had to say, said I have the flu most likely and asked if I have asthma... 3 separate times like I was lying and he was trying to catch me. Well after 4 or so sets of X-rays (lost exact count) due to no-one being able to operate the machine correctly, 3 hours of literally staring at a wall, and 3 minutes of questioning and listing to my lungs, I was told I have bronchitis. This is after explaining my lung sounds, which I listened to myself, as symptomatic of pnuempnia. The "doctor" told me how to treat symptoms I didnt even have or list, as well as gave me a "back up plan" perscription for antibiotics. After telling me to agressivly treat my symptoms with over the counter meds I was on my way. Having been in the medical field I did not agree with their diagnosis, so I started the antibiotics immediatly to clear up my bacterial pnuemonia... which according to them, was bronchitis. Started to feel better within a week. Best part, they called me a little over a week later to tell me that they just got the x rays back!!! I have pnuemonia and I should start the antibiotics immediately. Stay away from this buisness. As a medical professional, I would rather fly 4500 miles back to cleveland for my medical care where the doctors and nursing staff are competent and care about their patients. They seem like they are trying, but with something as important as your health, do you really want the D team bench warmers trying to figure out how to do their jobs with you as the test subject? Also to the clincic; please note I am well versed in HIPPA and its legal implications, judging from the unprofessional responses to other reviews I ask you not to take anything as a personal attack and write a long defensive response. I simply wished to share an honest opinion of my experience. If you do not like what I have to say, work on bettering your practices rather then arguing and the fabrication of excuses. Thank you very much for your response. I apperciate it and hope you are feeling better.

Rose Traini

If I could give them zero stars, I would. First off, they didn't bill my insurance at all. I'm the one who noticed they didn't do this. When I called to speak with them, they gave me a 1-800 number for their billing that goes straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail and didn't hear anything back. I had to call the main line again four times before my insurance was billed at all. When it was billed, it was billed for only part of my visit. And the part that they billed, they over billed me for. I have been trying to contact them for weeks, only the front desk people answer and say that they will take care of it and have the owner call me back, which he never has. I finally got my insurance company to harass them. My insurance says I am getting a refund but it'll be another month. Meanwhile, I have to pay another doctor's office again because billing wasn't done correctly so I have to pay my deductible again. Did I mention I saw them 4 months ago? This has been the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. I would have understood the oversight in billing if they were responsible enough to fix it in a timely manner, or if the owner had ever called me back like was promised. I would have even been okay if ANYBODY had called me back. They obviously do NOT care about their patients. To top it all off, I got X-rays there and they called me in the end of September (two months after I got them done) to tell me the results. Like other reviewers, I can confirm they are slow to see a patient, even if no one else is there. I will definitely not be going back and I will continue to tell everyone I know about my horrible experience.

Michael Boshears

Horrible. Don't go there for anything that is at all complicated. They should be called Patients Last. Constant miscommunication, ignorant staff (Hippa) and unfocused, arrogant and unhelpful providers. They prescribed a medication to which I am allergic. I just had a full work up 10 days ago. and although they called in the original prescription a week ago, I COULD NOT get a provider to simply call in a replacement prescription. It was like being in a Marx brothers movie. They get an F- from me.

haley sellars

Just want to ad, I went to another hole in the wall clinic in mountain view directly after, got in and seen right away. All the staff has been so lovely and nice so again, do not go here. I believe the other place is called mountain view urgent care or something 10/10 would recommend not going to patients first and going straight to mountain view urgent care! (The office is alot less sketchy too) Such a rude receptionist. Like so rude didnt smile once didnt greet me. I'd never been her before , came down with a horrible respiratory infection and decided to go here hoping they could help she told me she couldn't verify my insurance because it has my moms address and I do not any longer live with my mom so of course my driver's license has a different adress but I had my insurance number which has always been good enough everywhere else. I'm so sick I can barely talk or think properly and am in so much pain and she is being so rude and literally makes me start crying then says she will go talk to the owner and he says he will see me, so I start filling out paperwork and then she comes back out and says nevermind. Like the WORST experience ever and I would not recommend anyone go there especially if you're looking for nice staff.

Clarita Byers

the front desk lady is rude for no reason. thirty min till closing and making up excuses on why i couldn’t be seen.

Michael Yaremkiv

I don't usually review businesses but after reading some bad reviews I have to say I either came in a very good day or most of the negative reviewers are full of it, these people are helpful and knowledgeable, gave me no b.s. answers to my questions and sent me on my way feeling better about my situation. Definitely will be coming back if I need to.

D Cole

I went there for years always had the best care and service went for 15 years. Never had a bad experience they helped save my life.

Pete Frampton

Fast quick service. I had the flu; they gave me some miracle drug and I was better the next day. In an out in less than an hour. They billed my insurance too. I know Urgent cares can be a burden some times but this day was awesome and I am back at work. YEA!!!!

Worst clinic. I went in to be seen as a new patient with asthma and left with a large bill and was treated like someone who uses an inhaler to get high off of. The staff was very curteous at first but when they wanted me to get an expensive test done that I could not pay for up front at that time, I was treated like a nuisance and shooed out of the clinic. This place is obviously in it for the money and not patient care.

Carolyn Coe

i receive quality medical treatment at the Patients First Medical Clinic. The providers at the clinic are thorough. They listen to me and spend time with me. I never feel like I’m being rushed out the door. They use a personal approach. I began going to the clinic as a walk-in patient. I then decided to make Patients First my primary medical care facility and invited Bennett Jackson my primary care provider.

Mathew Huntsinger

I'm a disabled veteran that needed to restart primary care after moving from rural Alaska. I picked this place due to availability of scheduling. I'm glad I did. The frontstaff were professional and polite. The triage staff were phenomenal and personable. The provider was top notch. Being a provider myself i have high standards regarding medical care overall. I look at the other negative comments and see then for what they are; sophomoric belly aching at best. You're missing out on great practice if you gloss over this facility.

Jamie S.

helpful at first but then disapointed after established....

Journey zollicoffer

Lisa Jackson is very caring and effective. She is a wonderful provider. Very good clinic, very nice people.

Teresa Garfield

Ive been going there for years. I always get great attentive services, and they have been able to work with me when i was insured and when i wasnt insured. I have diabetes and Lisa has been very professional and very upfront with me and my treatment. I tell all my friends to go there.

Angela Bell

Absolutely horrible - went in for x-ray, sat in room for over an hour after already being ther for over an hour already and when I was finally fed up and tried to leave, finally got moved to the x-ray room. When I inquired what the hold up was, the x-ray person said that she was just advised I was waiting. So to get an x-ray of my ankle, it took over 2-1/2 hours ... poor follow up and follow through. When I left, they said that the radiologist would review the x-rays and get back with me the next day. Two days later and still no word. Horrible place to go, will never go there again.

Stephanie Birch

great providers. Bennett is wicked smart and the best provider in Anchorage

Amber Marie

I called this morning and got an appointment an hour later. I was taken back within 10 min of finishing my paperwork. Dr. Stephanie was compassionate and nonjudgemental and took great care of me. Thank you

My husband and I both come here for our medical care. It is very convenient to have the urgent care and walk in appointments if needed. If you make appointments is never a long wait. Staff is very friendly and listen to you. Sai is just amazing. Feel very comfortable with her. Great small office.

The Devin Experience

called to ask a question was put on hold for almost 45mins. called again and no one answered
