I have been going to Dr Liu for over a year now. When I first started going to him I was on pain pills four times a day sometimes more. Dr Liu was able to help me get through the change of from pills to the pain patches, then Dr. Liu also gave me some injections to help the nerves in my back and leg. I now have a pain pump and I cannot tell you how much it has changed my life. Since I received the pain pump it has completely changed my life, I am now able to do things that I was not able to do after my injury and now I can live a more normal life, I can think more clearly, I'm able to really enjoy my life again. Dr Liu and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, and always very courteous and nice, they make you feel very special, which is very important because a lot of times when you go in there you're not feeling all that well and they somehow always make it where you feel welcome and they just have such a good attitude I really appreciate all of all of them.

Doctor Liu Is the most abservant and considerant pain Doctor I have seen. He is very inteliagent in pain management, with a lot of alternative ldeas, witch are much less harmful than standard treatment. He has opened up a more healthy way to manage pain. Dr Liu has changed my life by the more holistic approach, with nerve block and trigger point injections. They are a combination of magnesium, lidocaine and much less toxic ingreadiances. I still take some medications, but less than half of what I took before. I also live with a more managed pain and less stress. And the staff are some of the most considerant and accommodating people that you could find. They go out of their way to help you, make you as comfortable and relaxted as possible. They are also some of the most efficient in the posisions they have.

They have done amazingly awesome with finding non-narcotic solutions to pain even after surgical procedures...he was able to keep me up and moving with my family which counts for so much when you have more then one toddler at home. .especially after hernia surgery or having massive dental work done. My body is allergic to most opiates and the fact that he could help with nerve blocks and other things was a god send. They are simply wonderful people...who have kindness and consideration for families. .as well as compassionately given care that takes into account a patients needs as a whole in life..my life centers around being a mom and caring for my kiddos..not just my own needs.. his help has made our life better as without it I'm sure we wouldn't be doing as well as we are right now. Being in pain takes away from not just a patients life but also the lives of their loved ones. Thanks to Dr. Lui and Dr. Gail Combs my family has a healthy and active life style as a group with me leading them through camping hiking and fishing/hunting trips which was something prior to seeing him i thought we would have to give up. They do their best to take care of me so that i can be 100% for the people who need me the most daily. . And we as a family are always appreciative for the care they have provided us. My hands would swell up... daily from the conditions that make joint pain an awful reality to face... nothing is worse then not being able to close your hands in the morning... Which was a daily and seasonally intensified response to Alaska's cold and damp climate...with his injections and other treatments we have managed to keep the swelling down and my body in motion. . I respect a doctor who is not all about throwing more medications at a problem that is causing pain daily. . Because he listens when i talk to him...he and Ms.Combs are able to find a solution that best suits my needs. . And that doesn't cause harmful addictive consequences to my life. I have to say i have been impressed since day one because we had been everywhere and had nightmarish moments in other offices when it comes to injections for nerve blocks and trigger points but dr. Lui is gentle and honestly you dont feel anything at all besides a bit of pressure while they are pushing the medication in to the tissue. A bad injection is a terrible thing because the pain that follows can be felt for weeks. I dont have to worry about this with him doing them because he has the most gentle steady and gentle hands. I absolutely reccomend him if you are trying to get help without using opiates as they will find a way to treat pain...without them as much as possible..and in our world of modern medicine we need more doctors like them as they are not concerned with just your physical symptoms but also whole body wellness...mind body and soul must be at peace for us to heal...his office goes out of their way to treat patients with pain like people.. And their massage therapist is amazing as well. . He can make your entire body relax through trigger points and that is the most amazing relief i have ever gotten in addition to the other treatments.. as nerve damage can be torturously painful.

Dr. Lui and the rest of the Neuroversion team have been taking care of my pain management for just over two years. When I’m there I am heard. They take every piece of information you can give them into consideration when providing treatment. There are multiple PA’s and they each bring a fresh perspective to helping me deal with the fact that my right shoulder has no motor function and only exists right now to hurt and be in pain. Dr. Lui has made this time as comfortable as possible in my opinion. The only drawback is the time you can wait in a room to be seen. I chose him because he came so highly recommended from the team at Providence that saved me along with anchorage first responders. So basically, try to get an early appointment or one right after lunch and if you not, still worth the wait.

I cannot possibly tell you how much this doctor in this clinic has helped me in the past 2 years...the pain I was in from my cprs in my lower leg was extreme.. He is kind, compassionate, professional, friendly, and, above all, vastly knowledgeable about pain and its various complications (as well as a plethora of medical knowledge). They are professional and will not throw narcotics at the patient, but will rather pursue every option available to avoid opioids and subsequent potential addiction issues. Dr.Lui and all his staff are very professional, friendly, and have their patient's problems as their main concern. They have worked with me extensively to help get rid of my back and leg pains and have been mostly successful. A pain pump was installed and has cured 80 to 90% of my back pain dependent on the situation. The leg pain we are still working on. They still are a little late with appointments but that is not unusual these days.

Everyone is very professional and nice. Dr Lui is great at his job. It’s a nice office in a new building. Easy, free parking. The main negative is their process. They require too many visits when you don’t receive treatment for your pain; you just speak to a doctor or PA, and give an update. That’s an extra co-pay, extra time from work, and not very helpful to me as a patient. Maybe it’s required, I don’t know?

Neuroversion Clinic is, in my opinion, a very compassionate, non-judgemental pain clinic here in Anchorage. After quite some time with a previous provider at a different clinic, Dr. Liu took over my care and all the frustration I had in the past was instantly gone. I followed him when he left the other clinic and instantly felt comfortable with the new location and the new staff. Dr Liu and his staff are absolutely wonderful. They made it possible for me to have an improperly placed pain pump moved and filled in a timely manner. Dr Liu is one of the hardest working, most compassionate doctors that I have had the pleasure of knowing, and I have known several working in hospitals myself. I wish I could say the same about Alaska Regional Hospital. I am ashamed that HCA operates a hospital with nurses that treat patients so horribly as they did me and another patient next to me. I even heard them complaining that Dr Liu would not release me. They treated me like I was a street derelict that was addicted to drugs rather than a person who had overdosed due to massive weight loss, after having surgery. I will never return to that hospital, even if it means I will lose Dr Liu as my pain doctor.

Dr. Liu and his team are fantastic. When I first saw Dr. Liu, I was in a great deal of pain. That was swiftly taken care of and after a consult it was confirmed that I would need surgery. Dr. Liu went out of his way to consult with several neurosurgeons to confirm that surgery was, in fact, my only option. He gave me his cell number in case I had any questions and he called me personally at home after hours to make sure I was comfortable. He even came to see me when I was in the hospital post-surgery. Dr. Liu is an amazingly dedicated and brilliant practitioner in the field of pain management. I see that he cares deeply for making sure that I am suffering as little as possible without the use of prescription medications. His ability to think “outside the box” in terms of how he approaches pain is very inspiring. I have been through multiple procedures - including an amputation- and have been kept comfortable and relatively pain free with his use of nerve blocks. His clinic is seemingly a reflection of his approach to medicine. They are a group of people that are kind, caring, respectful and responsive - from the front desk staff to the medical aides. Always helpful and always a kind word. I would not hesitate at all in recommending his clinic and it’s providers to anyone that is looking for a way to help with chronic pain issues. You need to visit this clinic and experience it for yourself.

Dr. Liu is by far and above the best doctor for steroid injections. Truly a master with the needle. Greg PA is who I usually see, he’s upbeat and caring. Over my 2.5 years being seen here I’ve achieved some comfort. Issues have been identified and treatment given. You will not go to a doctors office with friendlier staff. Everyone there seems To really care and want to make a difference.
