Unfriendly, not cordial -- they don't even say goodbye when getting off the phone -- and incredulous without good cause. They require you not refill a prescription until you're out, and if you ask on the day you actually run out, they remind you that they have a 48-hour notice policy for medication refills. They don't work on Mondays, Fridays, or days when Anchorage school district is closed for snow. If you find yourself in an emergency, expect no assistance.

Dr. Laurie Montano came highly recommended by several doctors when I needed a PCP years ago. She has been my doctor since 2005 and has seen me through many medical needs. She is knowledgeable and sincere, excellent bedside manner, caring and takes her time during appointments to explain and problem solve. She has no problem when necessary to refer to a specialist. She takes time to research possibilities and educate so discussions and concerns are individualized. She is supportive of her patients mental and physical health needs. Excellent doctor.

I have avoided doctors throughout my life, mainly because it's difficult to find someone you can trust. Although I was apprehensive about my initial appointment, Dr. Montano won me over. I trust her with my entire family and I recommend her to everyone. She is very knowledgeable, she is a great listener, and she truly cares about helping her patients improve their health.
