I love this dermatology office. Tim Morgan one of the PAs is amazing. He makes everybody feel at home and as if she's known them for her entire life. Will take all of my family here for any dermstological needs.

I went for an apt on 9-11-12 at 2:45; I got there and checked in at 2:40. Reception was nice and helpful. I then sat in the lobby for an hour and finally got taken back to a "room" with a woman who was in sky high heels and a dress that would shock your mother. The room was filthy, there was dirt on the floor and the table was stained and dirty with stuff in the creases. I then explained I am 3 month pregnant and I was sent to you by my OBGYN to see what this rash like thing is on my arm and breast. She then says "oh your pregnant well that's going to be a problem”, she leaves and has me undress from the waist up and hands me a paper sheet to cover up with. 30 Min latter an older male dr walks in and not once did he do a thorough exam he kind of sort of looked at my chest and was wondering why I was sent to them because I am pregnant, he continued to tell me how that was a problem and to stick it out and when I’m done with this whole pregnant thing to come back in as for my acne he gave me some cream to use that should help. He never told me what this rash like thing is the whole reason I was there to begin with. Right in the middle of my evaluation a lady opens the door to my room with me TOP LESS to ask the dr a question she never knocked, never acknowledge me as she barged into my apt. A total of 3 min maybe 5 tops he was out of there. I will NEVER EVER go back nor will I EVER recommend anyone going there especially if they are pregnat!

Stay away. I was able to get in quickly for an appointment with Dr. Cusack of the Alaska Dermatology, Laser and Skin Cancer Center, but was unhappy with 1) the professionalism of the office (the receptionist took my medical history), 2) the thoroughness of the exam from the doctor and his assistant, and 3) the 5 min electrocautery procedure was totally ineffective and was billed as a $400 laser surgery, plus $320 for an exam. That's right $720 for a visit that totaled 15 minutes and did not resolve my concern. I did ask about the cost of the procedure, but they information they provided was wrong. The office seems to be maxing out what insurance companies will allow them to bill even if it is not commensurate with the treatment or care provided. I had a much better experience (albiet longer lead times for appointments) with the Alaska Center For Dermatology.

Everyone was SUPER friendly and nice. Felt more like talking with your family members than health care providers. Maybe that's how doctors in Alaska are? Im visiting from Texas. Now we just have to see if my treatment will work

I came to Alaska Dermatology for an abnormal spot on my hand that would not heal. The doctor took a biopsy and it ended coming back as a type of skin cancer. Not anything major like melanoma but it was still alarming. The doctor and medical assistant helped to ease my worries and were helpful with options for treatment. It was much easier than expected. Now my cancer has been treated and you can barely see where the spot was. Very pleased!

Nice staff and we got an appointment quickly, but my husband and I waited for over an hour and never did see the doctor. The office was well decorated and homey, but did the actual appointment rooms did not present as clean/sterile for medical procedures. We arrived 15 min. early, filled out paperwork, then waited 30 min. to get into the appointment room, followed by another 40 min waiting to see the doctor. In the end, we left, without ever seeing the doctor. We will go somewhere else. Not impressed.

Called for an appointment and couldn't get my issue discussed before the fast talking Millennial clerk wanted to tell me that my insurance was out of area. Guess my issue won't be getting dealt with by this practice any time soon.

I don't normally write a review but this time I decided to share my experience. I went to see the doctor with eczema on my cheek and eyelid what I've had over 6 months. The doctor prescribed me a cream and sent me to the hospital to get some blood work done to rule out any internal cause. I was very surprised that he didn’t ask me more about my family and my health history before treating me. The ointment what he prescribed had a warning that some people who have used this Tacrolimus Ointment have had cancer and people with a history of skin cancer should NOT use this cream. Coincidentally, my grandfather passed away on melanoma a few years back, and at the same time, I’ve had five moles removed with signs of pre-cancer. At this point, I’m not willing to take any risks with this medication at my young age. The cost of the cream was $390, so people might think that they are getting something really special for that kind of price. It's kind of ironic that a dermatologist who should always be against anything that could possibly cause a skin cancer would prescribe something like that. On the positive side, the people in this clinic are nice and, at the end, I was able to figure out on my own what is the cause of my eczema.

I was referred to Dr. Cusack at Alaska Dermatology for some irregular moles and areas on my back. The facility was very clean, the staff was courteous and after filling out my information, I only waited about 10 min before being brought into an exam room. Dr. Cusack looked at the areas my primary physician was concerned with and thought it best to send them in to be checked. I was pleased with this as other dermatologists had told me just to keep an eye on them. Good thing we had them checked as one of them came back as a skin cancer. I was surprised at how easy the treatment was and I have very minimal scarring. I would recommend Dr. Cusack to anyone. He was professional, cared about what would be best for ME, got right to the point on what my treatment options were and not to mention has years of experience. Very satisfied!

My office visit at Alaska Dermatology last week was above and beyond what I have experienced in other offices or with customer service in general. The staff was great and Dr. Cusack was such a character with a great sense of humor which made me feel more comfortable. I would recommend this office to any of my own clientele and any friend or family member in need of a dermatologist.

I went in for pretty much my Acutane check up. I mentioned to him that I have a pimple on my nose that won't stop bleeding. He tells me that next time I come in he can zap it and that I won't have to worry about it again. So next time comes and I now he tells me that he is worried that it could be cancerous. I tell him that I've had these before and all he has to do is poke it with his little electricity rod to cauterize the blood vessel to make it go away. But no he insists, so like an idiot I agree and he shaves it off and guarantees it won't come back. Well guess what won't still stop bleeding folks. So now I still have to deal with this, and is down a shitload of money. Guy is a straight sham, just save yourself some stress and time and see a different dermatologist. Trust me you won't regret it.

Charges $330 fee for new patients!!! Was not aware of that until I received the bill. Waited 30 minutes to see the Dr and saw him for like 10 minutes. Most expensive 10 minutes of my life.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming! When I arrived at Alaska Dermatology and Laser Center I was greeted by a nice young lady who asked me to sit in the waiting room and wait for the doctor. The waiting room was very comfortable and made for a pleasant wait. I've been in some offices where you feel like you're in a laboratory waiting to be experimented on. Not the case here! When they called me in, the doctor was very polite and seemed very knowledgeable and experienced, he answered all my questions thoroughly and was very nice and genuine. The following several appointments were equally as enjoyable and I will be going back for a a few more appointments soon.

I was seen promptly with practically no wait time. My body scan for cancerous or pre-cancerous spots was conducted thoroughly and professionally. On a previous exam a questionable spot was removed, biopsied, and found to be melanoma. Because it was detected so early, it was able to be completely removed before it had spread. I highly recommend this office for any skin care concerns.

I saw Dr. Cusack a month or so ago for my acne and couldn't be happier with the visit. He was informative on what the main causes of acne are (hormones, heredity, etc) and gave me what he thought would work well for my skin. Now after being on the meds for 4 weeks and seeing the results, I can say I feel like a normal person again. I was so insecure because of the severeness of my acne and it has cleared up tremendously. Thank you Dr. Cusack, I'll be in for my follow up next week!

This is the best place in town!!! When I walked in about a month ago I entered the building and was confused. After going to the second floor I found the door. I came in and was greeted by a nice attractive lady. I sat down in their homey waiting room as I waited. I was called into a room by another attractive lady. I had came in for a hydrofacial as I suffer from very bad acne as a adult and a teen. The procedure was great! I hate small talk but there was non of that. My over all opinion: The people here are very welcoming and professional here. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

I made a new patient appt. yesterday with Dr. Cusack for today and arranged to take time off work. I showed up at the office early and was informed that my appt. was cancelled due to technical difficulties and they were unable to contact me. Unacceptable and unprofessional.

DO NOT come here unless you have an open schedule and enjoy spending a significant amount of time waiting around. On one occasion I had a 9:00 A.M. appointment and at 9:30 I watched the Dr. come walking in, and I wasn't seen for another half hour. On my second visit I had an appointment at 11 and at 11:35 I was taken to an exam room and at noon I finally just walked out. An absolute waste of time
