The staff from the start to finish are great! I have seen Shelley Winzeler, PA-C twice now. Each time the receptionist, nurses and scheduling have been very helpful and friendly. Shelley is very thorough and easy to talk to. Today, Emily in scheduling went above and beyond!

This was my first visit. I met Dr. Fening for the first time. She is quite impressive. Village Dermatology is a well oiled machine, very efficient—maybe a little too efficient. My appt was for 9:10, not 9:00 or 9:15 or 9:30. I never felt rushed, but I did not feel like the center of attention. Very competent, but assembly line medicine. I guess thst’s the future.

I have been a patient at Village Dermatology for about 10 years, as is my daughter, and my husband for about six years before he passed away. My two sisters go there too. We are most impressed with Dr. Jenny Sobera and her staff in that they are very professional and truly care about their patients. Many of my neighbors and friends go to Village Dermatology. We have all had the BEST of care under the treatment of Dr Sobera and her team. I consider Village Dermatology to be the most outstanding dermatological office in the entire area.

I was seen by Dr. Fening. Her and her nurse were very lackluster, didn't smile or seem enthused. They just had a weird attitude about them.Didn’t really seem to care about my problem. Didn’t ask that many questions or try to get down to the root of my problem. I expected a real consultation, and didn’t receive that. I will happily go back to Cahaba Dermatology,where people actually care.

Great experience! I saw Dr. Hughey, and she was lovely and knowledgeable. I was very concerned about a possible skin cancer. She calmed my nerves, removed the issue, and sent it for testing. There was no attempt to sell me anything. She just wanted to make sure I felt at ease and knew the process.

Not only are their doctors the best of the best but the waiting area, the aesthetic department and everyone there are so friendly and professional. Shortly before my last appointment, my car broke down and I was about 45-1hr late and they still made time to see me. Dr. Shelley is great and gives a variety of options for treatment based on my comfort level. Would always recommend Village Dermatology!

I was very impressed with Dr. Lauren Hughey. She did a very thorough skin check. I would have given 5 stars but noticed some problems during a 40 minute wait. I looked around and realized the place was not as clean as I would have liked. There were dust bunnies in the corners of the exam room and the door had dark stains around the knob from dirty hands. Then I realized there was not a sink in the exam room, only hand sanitizer. As a retired Epidemiology nurse I was not impressed with the state of the building.

5 hours after visiting this office for rash on face, ended up in emergency room in severe pain/itching due to misdiagnosis/ severe allergic response possibly due to medicine. Superficial interaction with Dr (few questions - 5 min) with very poor follow-up after we called from ER.

I'm thankful I was referred to Village Dermatology. The two previous practices were over booked and as a patient I was rushed during my apts after waiting hours. My family all go to Village. We love Dr.Cherry but have seen almost all the practitioners based on a urgent need to get in and we have never been dissappinted. Their staff is organized and we have never been rushed. my children feel comfortable there and the practitioners have a great demeanor with children. We have a significant history of melanoma in our family and I feel comfortable with the care and caution they take.

My husband saw a doctor here some years ago. It was a horrible experience. He had an infected toenail that had damaged a good portion of his nail. The assistants and then a female doctor all had the same reaction to his foot - sort of like a teenage girl from the movie, Clueless: "Ewwww!" Looking back, we should have walked out of the door immediately. He was prescribed a cream that provided only minor temporary relief but that did not address the underlying problem. He did not return to this place. This incident occurred some time ago but you never forget an incident where you are attempting to consult a medical doctor for medical treatment and you are treated like you are lower than an animal and too dirty to touch in such a ridiculous and humiliating manner. A dermatologist and a doctor is going to see diseases and conditions that are not pretty, for Pete's sake! That's the nature of the business! Anyway this happened a long time ago but it's one of those situations that offend you, hurt you and scar you irreversibly.

I've visited twice since August, third time coming up soon. Dr. Hughey has helped me clear up my acne greatly. They really get you in and out quickly which I appreciate. I really appreciate that they were mindful of my situation when I said I couldn't afford any prescriptions that were too pricey and they sorted out a cheaper option for me which still got my face to where it is today. I really do recommend them!

She's treated me for various types of skin cancer and completely satisfied with the results. I feel like we're part of her family. In my opinion, she's one of the best dermatologist in Birmingham.

I have struggled with acne ever since I was 12 and now I’m 21 and I had it so bad. I went to numerous dermatologist that prescribed me antibiotics which only worked for a while. I’ve been going to this place for about 4 months and my acne is Almost completely gone. They specialize in acne and other things too. They are so nice and if you are not comfortable with any treatments or anything they can work around to make you feel comfortable! They answer all your questions and I love the staff! I HIGHLY recommend

Dr Hughly spent a grand total of about three minutes diagnosing and freezing the affected mole Told me she was too busy with three other patients waiting to do anything else like check me for other affected sites or asking any additional questions. Simply a conveyor belt "move 'em through" mentality.

I had severe adult on-set acne. I have seen Dr. Nelson and Dr. Cherry; they both are very pleasant, honest, and willing to answer all my questions. During one of my acne visits, I also had a mole checked out and it wasn't a problem to biopsy. All interactions with nurses and office staff have been very pleasant. Billing has never been a problem and the ladies in the store downstairs have been very kind and helpful with recommendations. I highly recommend this dermatology practice.

I think my gasp of amazement said it all when I first saw my new smile, but I love my Refyne treatment from Dr. Curl! I am now happy to smile again, not worrying about how bad and aging the "ripple effect" looks. And to top it all off, someone (14 years younger than myself) asked me last week, "How come YOU don't have any wrinkles?" Also, a colleague who I haven't seen since 1979 told me I look exactly the same. And it doesn't get much better than that! It definitely exceeded all expectations and as I approach my 61st birthday in a couple weeks, it is great to feel fresh and young. Thanks to Dr. Curl for her expertise and for all the work she's done with this most recent amazing transformation!!

The wait here is incredibly, insanely long. We've been here twice for very simple appointments, arrived early and waited nearly an hour both times. It seems like they are more concerned with the clients that come for cosmetic reasons, than they are for ones with medical reasons. To top off the horrible wait times, my daughter was born with a very rare birthmark that has to be surgically removed before puberty, and I've had to reschedule three times because they only want to schedule her with a nurse and not an actual doctor. Im okay with seeing a NP for some things, or after care is established, but not for something as major as hers.
