I saw a resident who was very nice. When she brought in the doctor that she works under, later in the visit, I was dumbfounded at the doctor ‘s lack of professionalism. She entered the room all smiles and told me that she was the best around at what she did. When I tried to ask questions she immediately turned into a very sarcastic, condescending woman and said if I didn’t like what she had to say that there are other doctors that can help me and that she had just told another patient the same thing that morning. This woman needs to retire because her bedside manner was repulsive. It disturbs me that someone like this person is mentoring our future doctors with her shockingly dreadful attitude. She was two completely different people in less than a minute’s time. I believe that she is the one who needs to find a doctor that can help her. I want to reiterate that the resident was very professional and kind.

I had the worst experience at uab dermatology. I have seen many dermatologists in the last few years. None of the meds that was prescribed to me worked. The worst Dr. I saw was Dr. Elewski. She prescribed me dupixent. I took it for a couple of months, now I had my period for 15 days, going on 21 days. (Its still unknown if the med.caused it) Dr. Elewski was unprofessional, very unprofessional..She was not caring, or felt concerned about me. She said I need to see a psychiatrist. What really made her angry is when Dr. Alvarez told her I couldn't participate in the study until I got my periods straight. She felt threatened and called security on me. It only got worse when she called her nurse a "liar". She literally called her a liar. She went out of the room & went to the desk & waited for me to come out, she yelled at the nurses to call security on me again. I td the nurses the only person you need to call security on is her bc she needs a physchiarist. I called to make a complaint, it wasn't followed up on & no one cares..

This place is a prescription factory. I saw three doctors over two appointments. After a very long wait both times, none of them had any interest in determining what type of skin I had, what sort of issues may be causing the problem, or the effectiveness of their treatments. They just looked at the problem area and said "take this, this, this and schedule another appointment in 3 months" and sent me on my way.

I am almost 50 years old and my skin has never looked this good. I look rested and 10 years younger thanks to Dr. Northington. She knows how to get skin looking it's best. I would not trust anyone else with my skin!

I have been seeing Dr. Northington for years for my acne and scarring. She makes you feel comfortable as soon as she walks into the room like you're talking to a friend instead of just your doctor. She genuinely cares about her patients' overall health as well as their dermatological health. Before starting any treatments, she has always discussed all the aspects and side affects. Based on these discussions, we've determined some more common methods were not right for me and suggested other options. When I was a teenager, she helped me decide on the best topical treatments, antibiotics, and ways to use them comfortably without drying out my face. When I grew older, she helped me decide on the best treatment for my scars and virtually erased the acne scarring I've had for over 10 years. You would never be able to guess today that I have been dealing with consistant acne since I was 12 years old. During any treatments I've had in the office, she made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and reduce as much pain as possible. I have referred many friends to Dr. Northington for things such as extreme dandruff, wart removal, and acne. Some have even driven over 80 miles just to be seen by her. Every person I've referred comes away a fan.

Dr. Northington is fellowship trained in cosmetic dermatology and has extensive experience doing all sorts of treatments and knows how to help you figure out the best treatment for what you are looking to do, whether it is get rid of wrinkles, dark spots or fat. She is always so nice and accommodating and is just the BEST!

Doctor did not want to find out what was really wrong with my skin. She kept telling me that "because I'm a person of color" is the reason. These folks tried to get me to bleach my skin! Awful
