We had an absolutely horrible experience. We got there 30 minutes early to fill out new patient paper work (our previous pediatrician retired). We were taken to a room, waited over 30 minutes for the Dr. after the triage, Dr came in, was extremely nice, she left, we then waited another 45 minutes for vaccines. Nurse came in, I told her I would be leaving the room while my son got his vaccines, she rolled her eyes at me and my husband said she was very rude and had zero bedside manner after I left the room. In total we were there for 2 hours for an appt that should have taken no more than 45 minutes from start to finish, that compounded with the eye rolling nurse was all it took for me to emphatically say, we will never go back. Absolute terrible experience.

I'm so disappointed. I was looking for a new pediatrician since mine had left her office. I had heard good things about Southlake but, when I tried to make an appointment for my daughter's 15 month appointment a couple of weeks in advance they told me the nurse would call back to "approve." I waited and didn't hear anything in a week. I called back and asked why I never received a call and the receptionist said that it was something they only do in their spare time if they get a chance. It wasn't a high priority for them. If a new patient doesn't matter, then I really don't want an office that doesn't care. I really wanted my daughter to be seen there.

Dr Mc Cown is the best pediatrician! We took our son to him as a small infant after a bad experience with another doc. Dr Mc Cown loves, cares and knows what a child needs. He advises the parents and doesn't shove things down your throat. Our son is now 20 and has almost aged out of seeing him. You won't go wrong picking Dr Mc Cown as your pediatrician! Can't say enough great things about him! 20 years! THAT should speak volumes!

Love this place!! The staff is wonderful and Dr. Winkler is absolutely amazing!! No long waiting, they take a sick baby immediately and they are definitely on top of issues!!! Big plus for this Nonna is they are totally accommodating and understanding that mom and dad are at work and Granny has the baby!!

This place is clean and it’s a good location, unfortunately the staff lack compassion or a sincere attitude. They don’t care about anything but getting paid......that is also a problem since you CANNOT pay online and you can only call to pay or send back the preaddressed unstamped bill they will mail. Trying to get them on the phone is a joke as they shut the phone line downs on the weekend and also at lunch time from 12-1pm Each day they are opened. If you want a genuine feeling of caring for your child, don’t go here!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Reading all the bad reviews does not do this place justice. I had a serious issue with getting a pediatrician at the last minute...(long story short: newborn had jaundice and needed to be checked right away). Southlake, thankfully, was the only local pediatrics taking new patients and accepted my insurance! They scheduled an appointment same day and within the hour and was very accommodating to my situation. None of them made it seem like I was a burden or that my issue was of low priority. And to top it off my pediatrician is the best I've ever had! Dr. Byers is the absolute best. And I've tried about 3 other pediatricians at other locations and none of them compare close. She's extremely informative and describes things with ease to help you understand. Doesn't use tentative language; which is extremely helpful when you're a concerned mom. And most importantly she's GENUINE! You can tell by how she responds to your questions that she is very passionate about what she does. Me and my husband are extremely impressed with Southlake Pediatrics; and that says a lot because we're both picky. We're both so lucky to have found this place! The staff is amazing as well, super accommodating.

Wonderful facility and even better doctors and nurses. They do not make you feel like a number and they act like they love taking care of kids. Dr. Byars is wonderful. Hate to leave a good review b/c i dont want to start waiting when everyone moves here but they deserve it.
