from the entrance of the facility I sensed an atmosphere of nothing but professionalism.

Been going here since I was born and I’ll be 18 next month I love dr conry she’s been so good to me always been on top of every thing quick to get you in and out any questions she’s always answered she’s be so great to me and my brother I wouldn go anywhere else whole family goes here just sees different doctors

Collier Clark

Dr. Baxley has been awesome so far. We will continue to bring our little one here. Very attentive and doesn't feel like they are over booked.

Pam Ridley

Feel as though they aren’t the ones for complex issues! They do not listen and discount what parents are telling them. Who knows a child better than the parents? Have actually used them for years but will not anymore!

I left this practice while I was living in Alabama because of the service. Frankly, the practice is to big for itself. We routinely waited 40 minutes or more in a sick/well combined waiting room for a well-child appointment. When we saw the doctor, who we liked, she was often rushed and didn't spend much time. At my son's 12 month appointment, I requested that they wait until the 15 month appointment for the Chicken Pox vaccine. When I came to his 15 month appointment, they told us that he'd already received the shot. A year later, when we moved to a new state, the pediatrician said he may never have gotten a chicken pox vaccine and that there was no record at all of his 12 or 15 month shots. They just show up as missing. Faulty record keeping like this is dangerous.

dr hodge is wonderful she has helped so much. i dont appreciate though my son not getting to use the all in 1 shot ever. instead they stick him 4-5 times. and i agree staff could be better i dont like when you cant talk to someone when u need a fax asap just have to wait until they aree ready to call back, if at all.

We have been brining our kids here for almost 8 years. Dr. Dennis has always been friendly and cares deeply for our children. She has always made a visit at birth and is easy to get an appointment with.

Kerel Green

Wait time is way too long, even when it is a scheduled appointment.

Dr Elizabeth Hodges was my children’s pediatrician for 18 years and is now my grandchildren’s pediatrician. We started seeing her in 1984, before there was an Over the Mountain Pediatrics, when she and Lillian Israel, MD were still on the Southside of Birmingham. She is absolutely the best. Through the years she has given us trustworthy advise and cared for all our little ones with sincerity and love. She rocked my now 33 yr old daughter in the hospital. How many pediatricians stop everything and spend time with that newborn? I trust her completely as do my children. That sort of trust and devotion doesn’t come easily and is a result 35 yrs of the best care. We love you Dr Hodges!

We use Dr. Baxley but any one I have seen has been so sweet. I've not ever had a problem with them.

I had an appointment with dr. Hodges, waited over an hour and a half and saw 5 patients who got here after us go back before us. There were sick children throughout the well waiting side. Once I made it to the back I waited another hour and a half. I will not be back

Cannot get anything done have to leave messages and with no sense of urgency. I get conservative treatment for pediatrics and I agree but my child has been sick for over a month and all I get is "we just have to treat symptoms" I have an issue with that. Having worked in the Medical field for many years I have never been so distraught as a parent I was hurt for my child and as a medical professional is sad to see how parents and patients are treated. Do not go to this facility if you can help it. The lack of professionalism form Physicians and the whole staff is just unbelievable and if I can prevent any parents form having to go through what they have put us through then this would have helped a family. **update** I turns out that my daughter was actually really sick I took her to another practice and she was thoroughly checked and all my questions were answered. This all to say always trust your instincts tittles do not matter and it is ok to challenge and ask questions because children just have us to protect them against practices that do not give them the time of day.

I've been taking my son to Dr. Hodges and the other doctors at Over The Mountain Pediatrics since he was born. The care he has gotten has been knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, and kind. Dr. Hodges is the best pediatrician in town!

I took my daughter to Dr. Dennis. She spent less than 5 minutes with us and diagnosed her with a sinus infection. Her left lymph node was swollen really large, like half the size of a golf ball. They did no blood work. My mom's intuition told me something more serious was going on so I took her to Redmont Pediatrics. Turns out she has mono and the antibiotics she was given actually caused her to break out in a rash because of the mono. I am very unhappy with the care we received at over the Mountain Pediatrics.

We cannot recommend this pediatric office. Dr.Baxley has a good personality but the office staff is rude, they do not listen, they do not care about the families, and they are disrespectful. Especially Lori we are removing our family from this practice.

Love Over the Mountain Peds. I have seen two other Pediatrics before coming here about 10 years ago. All 3 of my children see Dr. Conry but I have seen most of the doctors at one time or another if Dr. Conry has been out of the office. Love it and have been given great care from day 1. They listen to concerns and work with you as the parent to get their patient back well.

Latisha Kelly

I miss this client. My kids all went there really great place..

They were the doctors for both of my children and now my grandbaby. Always friendly, professional and took care of our every need

I love Doctor Hodges, and will stay at OTM because I think she is great. However, the wait times are becoming increasingly ridiculous. During our last visit the check-in desk was sort of chaotic, and though I arrived early they didn't even check me in until I came up forty minutes later to inquire about wait time--they had missed checking me in somehow, so I ended up waiting over an hour with an increasingly tired and fussy baby, and was only able to see Doctor Hodges for five minutes before having to run out the door to pick up my other child from school. It was incredibly frustrating. Also, I'd just like to put it out there that JAIME or JAMIE, the woman who makes appointments, is incredibly rude. Every time I call to make an appointment and speak with her, I begin the phone call cheerfully and end it feeling angry and offended by her rudeness. She clearly doesn't enjoy her job and should not be dealing with any sort of customer service. I hope someone at OTM sees this and speaks to her about attempting an attitude adjustment or perhaps working somewhere where she doesn't damage her place of employment's reputation by treating patrons rudely.

Dr Baxley is fantastic and her staff is as well

We used Dr. Dennis for many years, and then also Dr. Menenedez, for two of our boys. We found them both very capable doctors, and have just recently switched doctors because we wanted our boys to see a male pediatrician, now that they are getting older. Even so, we really don't have complaints about either doctor, or the practice. Sure, the wait time is sometimes long, but also sometimes it will be pleasantly fast. Like another reviewer, we did have an issue one time where they didn't check us in properly, and this didn't come to light until after an hour waiting: We went back up to the front desk to inquire why the wait was so long, and they told us that we hadn't been checked in! That day really stunk, but that happened over a year before we made the switch and wasn't a factor. Clearly, it is tantamount to go check in with them again, if they seem to never call you! But that only happened one time in many years. I found both Dr. Dennis and Dr. Menendez to be kind, capable doctors who cared for our children.

Great doctors, usually pretty fast, doesn't rush you . HOWEVER they never do routine blood work & can be a little fincky about giving meds sometimes, I just feel routine blood work is important because you can catch stuff that way that would/could be missed otherwise. So I wish they did it some. But they have been great to give referrals if needed. They have to send you to children's South for any xrays or other testing which isn't far but sometimes can be inconvient.

Kayla Colburn

Dr.Dennis is awesome!!!! She has always been so thorough with our son, any time we have ever been. She's quick to refer you somewhere else if she thinks that's needed. Our son has ASD and hates going to the Dr,but he actually looks forward to seeing her when we go and she and her staff are always great with him! We love her! Highly recommended!

Christy Smith

Dr. Julie Dennis is the best pediatrician ever! The staff is always friendly & my child always receives great care here.

Akeva Owens

This office is terrible. We were late for an appt they said the dr didnt have time to see us so we said ok we checked our kids out may we get an excuse please. Not only would they NOT give us an excuse they called the police on us for asking for an excuse. Lori is disgusting! She typed false information on a letter head and gave that to us as an excuse. Its hilarious but ok I got another excuse from them anyway lol Lori did all that and I still got the excuses we needed. Grow up Lori

Sheridan Bodley

Dr. Dennis is very professional, thorough, and shows concern for my daughter welfare on every visit. She listens and keeps you well informed on what the medical issue is at hand. The staff is also very friendly, warm, and professional. I would highly recommend any parent that's looking for a pediatrician to Dr. Julie Dennis or Over the Mountain Pediatrician.
