Dr. West performed a spinal fusion that seems to be successful. I still have pain but we are looking at other areas to see what the generator is. Dr. West genuinely concerned about his patients well-being. Contrary to belief Dr. West does have a sense of humor and a good bedside manner once you get to know him.

I have been under the care of Dr. West since 2016 due to an on the job injury. He has poor bedside manner and is very withdrawn. I have never left his office feeling like he had been concerned with assisting me to recover from this injury, and that’s very unethical. My last appointment he couldn’t even recall or review in his notes that he had in fact been the only doctor to schedule me for my recurring epidurals. This has become very alarming and frustrating to me. Ethics board will be notified.

Dr. West is AMAZING.. l was involved in a car accident Jan 2016 & seeked medical help , I was told by multiple people to use him- SO glad I did. He's not the type of doctor that automatically throws out the surgery word , that is his last resort - Dr. west did Surgery on my neck in late October ( we had no other choice) , I had months of physical therapy, numerous epidurals and nothing took the pain away & the longer I had waited I experienced severe weakness in my left arm where I started dropping things and from hands cramping to going numb - I knew then it was serious & had to do something, He explained everything to Me acouple different times before the actual surgery- I def TRUST him with my life and if ever had to have anything else done would ONLY go to him. He did WONDERS on my neck. I can't express the Gratitude that I have For him & his staff . They have been great to my family & Myself. DEF recommend.

I went to him for scoliosis checkup and he told me my spine was 43 degree curve and I needed to have surgery ASAP. I went for second opinion to Chicago IL and saw a neurosurgeon at Rush University (Richard Fessler) who also did an X-ray and said my spine was 28 degrees NOT 45 and for me to definitely avoid surgery and simply continue to monitor it and stay active and fit! Dr West is trying to operate on anyone for $!!!

Drove all the way over from Fairhope only for Dr. West to be over 45 minutes late, and then spent less then 2 minutes in my room after delivering his opinion on my diagnosis. He tried leaving the room twice and was stopped by my questions and he was clearly annoyed/in a rush. I feel 10x more confused after seeing him then I did before.

When I went to the appointment it took no time to see the doctor. When I got the chance to see him he said that nothing was wrong with me. Now i was involved in a serious automotive accident where I was stopped in traffic and a vehicle hit me from behind at approximately 65 mph. Went to the hospital and got cat scan which revealed that I have bulging discs in my cervical area. Dr. West said i didn't and that I was fine. I feel that he's not doing a great job at what he's doing . I would never ever prefer him to any other person.

My husband and I went in, to talk about my degenerative disk diseAse and we’ve seen several doctors all telling me that surgery is the only option to move forward with and he told us that we have to do a facet block. It’s only supposed to “numb” it. I went in to try and get a long term relief! Not just another injection that’s going to probably do nothing.

I saw Dr. West in a timely manner. I was a little distraught today because I have been in pain for quite some time. Sometimes, some doctors don’t tend to listen or even believe you when you tell them about your pain and problems. Dr. West was VERY attentive and he was definitely CONCERNED about my welfare. I had tears while talking to him and he grabbed a tissue for me and listened to my every word. When I left his office, I felt so relieved because he assured me that we will do what is necessary to help me to feel better. Dr. West is a very compassionate doctor and I thank God that there are still some doctors, like Dr. West, who truly do want to help people.
