I had been pleased with Dr Wilson, but the office's policy has changed since my last appointment. I haven't seen her in 5 years because I haven't needed treatment. I just called for an appointment and was told that I am now considered a new patient, and she isn't taking new patients. My only option was PA. This is very disheartening. I had been a patient for ~20 years, since the days they were located on Sivley. So, if you're a “new” patient, don't waste your time calling their office.

Go elsewhere!! Not worth it. Always long waits and rude staff. It’s more like a cattle call than a doctor’s office anyways but today was the straw that broke the camel’s back! Come in for my annual appointment that has been scheduled for a year now and they tell me I don’t have an up to date referral and I’ll need to get one in the next 7 min or I’ll miss my appointment. Totally incompetent. You have had a year to inform me that I needed to update my referral. You called me to remind me of my appointment and you couldn’t mention that? You wait til I get here to let me know. Like I can just call my GP and have him stop everything he’s doing to write me a referral on the fly... Just rude. You probably won’t miss my business but you might miss the rest of my family. We will all being going elsewhere.

My family has been going here for many years. They have always been great.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an ideal patient that shows up early and has none to minimal complaints. The one time I decide to express a frustration or question it was incredibly unprofessional how the office staff reacted and behaved. It’s a shame because I really like the doctor, and they have done a great job with my care. My advice to the doctors and management: Train your assistants and front of office staff how to be professional and develop some empathy.

I was referred to them by my doctor to freeze off and check some spots... the office was nice and helpful.. and my nurse and doctor were nice and quick and helpful. I had to make a follow up appointment. So I will be back.

Making an appointment is hard. There is a long waiting list. 3-4 month wait

The doctors and staff are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I have visited this office on many occasions and have always been satisfied with the service and care received. I have seen some reviews that state people had to wait too long to see the doctors, but I don't mind this as I understand that these doctors spend the time necessary to address the needs of each patient and sometimes this creates some backlog in the process. Waiting in a doctor's office is just something I expect and I do not mind waiting for great care!!! I highly recommend this office for any dermatology needs.

Very good. Dr. Sal is the bet doctor in Alabama!

David Lewis

They scheduled an appointment without even calling me. I found out about it when I answered the phone and heard the reminder message. How stupid is that?

Aaron Sumner

Very compassionate and understanding Doctors and Nurses! Yes, you do have to schedule your appointments in advance (unless your personal doctor calls in an emergency-- so maybe gripe at your personal doc..), but that's to be expected when you are the best in town....

Dr. Wilson and staff are amazing. They are so friendly and all smiles so they make you feel at home. The paper work didn’t take very long and I was back quickly. Aaryn, a nurse there, called me back and took me to a patient room and filled out all necessary paperwork for a procedure. Dr. Wilson discussed the possible diagnoses with me in detail. I feel relieved knowing that I had such a knowledgeable Dermatologist is taking care of my health. Now, I can stop worrying myself. In addition, they don't solicit Yelp reviews from their patients, if they did, I'm confident that they would be better 5 stars (I wish I could give them more). Thank you Dermatology Associated for the care you provide.

Todd Howard

Thanks for letting me sit in the lobby for 45 minutes before telling me I didn’t have an appointment. That’s just unacceptable.

Maybe in AUGUST you realize you are nearly out of your rash ointment. Maybe you will call and be offered a JANUARY appointment--with the nurse practitioner. Wanna see a doctor? Try APRIL. So how about a refill? Call and leave a message. Maybe they'll call back. Maybe they won't. Maybe they'll send it to the WRONG pharmacy and accuse you of drug-seeking when you question the choice to send your OINTMENT to the wrong pharmacy. You wanna complain about that? Maybe you'll be accused of everything but arson and anarchy. Maybe you'll be insulted and dismissed. The question is: do you feel lucky? Maybe you would be better off finding a different office. Or, maybe you like being treated in a mean-spirited, unprofessional, inept way by office staff. You only pay top-dollar to be mis-treated. It is totally your choice.

First, the supervising physician lives and works in Florida. This is clinic is part of a chain. You'll never see the guy whose name is on the door. I saw a physician's assistant here for over a year and never made any progress. She was rude, dismissive and eyerolling. At times it felt like she was prescribing successively more expensive ointments to punish me. (One prescription would have been over $1000 at Walgreens had I actually filled it.) At one point we found an affordable option that was working and without explanation she refused to refill my prescription. She insistently prescribed ointments with filler ingredients I told her I have intolerance to. This means she was testing me, not listening, or didn't know what she was prescribing. She acted annoyed when I started requesting the drug facts sheets. The final straw was when I heard her and her assistant in the hall laughing and calling me "Yoga Pants" instead of my name. My family doctor solved my problem in 4 weeks with one visit and $10 worth of ointments.

Don't go here I was here 12:30 to 5:17 my appointment was at 1:00. Go anywhere else!! Life is to short to spend it here.

DO NOT USE! Terrible business practices, horribly rude office staff, incompetent office manager. I was referred to them and told by my doctor that I would be hearing from them about setting up an appointment. Two months later I received an automated voice mail telling me I had an appointment the following day and would be subject to a cancellation fee if I did not show. After spending 15minutes on hold with the office, I was able to communicate my issues with the whole process to the woman who answered. She immediately transferred me to Michael Lee, the office manager. He was an extremely confrontational individual, who constantly prated about how busy they were, how many women he had answering the phones, and how I was wronged not by his office for automatically setting up an appointment, but by my doctor for not relaying that I had automatically been scheduled. I honestly do not think he listened to a word I said, choosing simply to boast about the business of this fast-food style dermatological office and screaming "we're done!" repeatedly after I asked him to remove my medical records from his database. This is a practice that does not serve people, only their bottom line. I have reported this behaviour to the BBB, and will be pursuing any avenues of federal reports that I can. Avoid this place at all costs. Also of note: the office manager posted a raving review of his own office, which happens to be one of two positive reviews this place received. I have a sneaking suspicion the other anonymous review is from another staffer. What a shady place, from the top on down.

Called to set a new patient appointment for my daughter on September 7, 2017 and was told the next available will be January 11, 2018. Unacceptable.
