I have been a patient at Laramie Dental Arts for many years and the service has always been wonderful! The receptionists are always friendly and welcoming. My dental hygienist, Robyn, is superb. She offers paraffin hand treatments and the dental chair gives you a massage while you are having your teeth cleaned! Dr. Knaub is always friendly and he gives superb service, as well. Update: The staff followed up on the original review. They apologized and went out of their way to make things right with my wife. We appreciate their efforts on follow-up, and my wife did enjoy her subsequent visit. Original: We traveled 90 miles to make an 8 am for my wife to get some work done. They cleaned her teeth then waited until after they had numbed her before letting her know they had overbooked for the day and would not be able to fill until later in the day. One assistant made my wife feel like she was in the wrong for having other appointments scheduled in the day, and offered us coming back to town the following day as a solution. Another tried to make amends by giving us movie vouchers we cannot use. This is the second time we've made this trip under the impression she would be able to get her teeth worked on to arrive and find out there was not actually room in the schedule. They seem much more concerned with numbers versus service.

If I could do a minus I could. My wife had an appointment set up with this office for dentures. The office called and cancelled for reasons that really didn't make sense. She is on Medicaid and this is the only dentist in Laramie that takes it. All she needed was dentures made, no teeth pulled or meds. I was born and raised here and this is just not right. Now I see why people I know go out or town to get things done. I will let everyone I know hear about this...

Dr Knaub is great, I needed a bunch of dental work done and I have vertigo, not fun when the room spins every time they lay you down, but with Dr. Knaub's patience and caring we got through each and every visit and crossed the finish line with a healthy mouth as the prize. This is a cash cow, bait-and-switch operation- you go into your first appointment, thinking you are getting your teeth cleaned- wrong, they promise they will try to get to cleaning your teeth when they already know thats an hour appointment that has to be scheduled the first appointment is just x-rays and an extensive "plan" of work to be done.. so you go to your second appointment thinking you are getting your teeth cleaned, they spend 20 minutes of the hour appointment poking around just to tell you that they won't have enough time to clean your teeth- you'll have to come back for a third appointment (why didn't you just use that 20 minutes productively?) i'm a young, healthy, better than average mouth and i've never been treated like this before, and i've probably been to 20 or so different dentists in my life, this was the worst- they just want your money, and your time- and they also charge if you cancel the appointment- they care about money, not people

I've seen Dr. Knaub since he joined the practice. He performed a root canal and placed a crown, which went amazingly well, with still no trouble years later. My hygienist is the best and I will not see anyone but her. The reception staff are very friendly, no trouble using my insurance, text confirmation and reminders are helpful, and massage chair/paraffin wax hand dip-yes please! The little extras help minimize my anxiety and I very much recommend Laramie Dental Arts.

I have been going to Laramie Dental Arts to see Dr. Chamberlain for the past year... yes, one year of several appointments to correct the many mistakes from previous dentists... & no, I don't regret a single minute in their office! From the first x-rays and examination of my teeth, to the planning of my treatments, and through all the initial work I never felt uneasy or uncomfortable about any process. Dr. Chamberlain and his assistants walked me through each procedure, answered every question and addressed my many concerns, and made it an overall positive experience. And now, after months of being embarrassed to smile, I have full confidence in the look of my teeth... but not only that, I know my teeth are healthier. I have a permanent (wire) retainer on my lower teeth. Occasionally the bonding agent breaks loose from one of the teeth it's attached to and I have to have it re-bonded, a very simple procedure using minimal material. The procedure was quick (under ten minutes) and all is well there... So I go to pay, I'm self employed and from Colorado, I have Colorado healthcare and it doesn't pay over state lines. I figure I'll just pay cash it's not a big deal (I've had this done many times over the years at different clinics in many different states and it has never cost me more than $60). Of course they will not tell you what it will cost till after... $179, Yep $179... That's insane! I was livid. I paid and left. I will never return! It's absolutely outrageous to charge that kind of money for such a simple procedure and this is a perfect example of why mandatory health care doesn't work. In a normal market where there are natural market forces at work (i.e. if the prices are to high they'll lower their prices or go out of business) this would never fly, but because healthcare is mandatory and they know 90+% of the time insurance companies or the government (WE) are paying the bill they can charge whatever they want. Of course this means insurance costs rise... One last thing, They have a super nice clinic. Which I'm guessing cost around a million dollars (I've been in construction for over 20 years so I have an idea). Just like the fancy car dealerships with the beautiful building (and schools for that matter), when they can afford to spend that kind of money on a building there profit margins are too high. Health care is meant to be a service just like any trade. Unlike every other trade they can get away with charging whatever they like. When the government mandates and subsidies services be it healthcare, housing or whatever... It becomes a form of corporate welfare and creates an unfair advantage for those businesses that cost's us, the taxpayers money.

Never actually went here because they cancelled my appointment without telling me. The office staff recorded all my information incorrectly (phone number, address, etc.) and did not get an email address when I made the appointment. I thought it was strange that I didn't get a reminder call so I called the day of to confirm and they said they tried to reach me but couldn't (due to the very wrong information) so they cancelled it. Now I have to wait another month to get in to another dentist in Ft. Collins.

I hold a terrible stigma toward dentistry in general. I have had too many experiences with dentists that "find" cavities and "remove old fillings because the were put in wrong". The staff at Laramie dental arts performed a routine cleaning and x-rays. They talked me through what they were looking for when diagnosing a dental cavity and showed me specific instances on my X-ray. They also talked with me about some potential risks in my diet that could effect the PH balance in my mouth (highly acidic foods cause decay). I finally found a dentist who, from my first interaction, seemed honest and genuine.

I would recommend Dr. Knaub to anyone and everyone needing a dentist in or around Laramie, WY. I used to work for an oral surgeon so the first things I always notice upon walking in a dental office are the facilities and its cleanliness. His office is state of the art and it is immaculate. Most importantly, he is a very skilled dentist. If you are afraid of needles he is the dentist for you because you will not feel a thing when he is injecting you with local anesthetic. He removed my wisdom teeth and I did not feel a bit of discomfort or pain on any of them. He also does not try to make you agree to procedures that are not in your best interest which is a nice relief as some dentists will just try to nickle and dime you. I would rank higher than five stars if possible.

This is, without a doubt, the worst dentist's office I've ever experienced, and it didn't even happen to me personally! My boyfriend has had a broken wisdom tooth for about a month. He waited a week for an appointment (that he paid $200 for) and they couldn't do anything because he needed to take antibiotics first. They called in an antibiotic that costs $200. I work in a medical facility myself, and there are many, many antibiotics that are much cheaper, and I don't understand why they would send in an rx for this one, when they are fully aware that he doesn't have insurance. I called them and they sent in an rx for something cheaper, so that was helpful. They told him to take it for 10 days, then scheduled an extraction for 3 weeks out! He was still in a LOT of pain this entire time, and they refused to prescribe anything to help with this. After a week, he was still in a lot of pain, so they prescribed another antibiotic to take in conjunction with the one he was already taking. The pain was mostly due to the fact that the tooth was broken down to the nerve, and another antibiotic did nothing to help this. He made it clear to them that he works daily until 1pm. They called him twice to come in before his scheduled time, in an effort to get him in sooner, but both times the appointments were in the morning, when he had clearly told them multiple times that there is no way he can make morning appointments! Today, the called to confirm his appointment on Monday - the one that he has been waiting for for 3 weeks - at 10:30AM!!! He works at a manual labor job in which it is nearly impossible to take time off or leave early for appointments, THIS IS WHY HE DID NOT SCHEDULE A 10:30AM APPOINTMENT, and clearly someone in their office screwed up. They told him that he's out of luck, it's 10:30am on Monday or he waits until September. What a bunch of hacks. We will never, ever use this office ever again. My dentist is more expensive, but is also not terrible with an awful staff.

I cannot say enough good things about this practice. I moved here recently and needed some emergency work. The staff understood my need and fit me in right away. I have since had my teeth cleaned, and even came in for a second emergency tooth pull. Dr. Knaub saw me right away, and then fit me in to his schedule later same day and stayed late to do it. The front office staff has answered all my questions patiently, and my cleaning was first rate with Robin. Nothing but professional excellence top to bottom.

From day one, Dr. Knaub and his entire staff have been phenomenal! When I was new to Laramie, I was referred to this dental office and I will gladly pass along that recommendation to others. Recently, I made the decision to get braces at Laramie Dental Arts and the experience has been fantastic from beginning to end. I was given very detailed information upfront on my different options, the overall cost and payment options, and also the projected timeline (I'll mention that we completed them EARLIER than anticipated - Woohoo!). Deciding whether or not to get braces as an adult is tough, but the knowledge and care that Dr. Knaub and his team provided made that decision an easy one. I am SO pleased with the outcome. So, I've had a good experience in general so far. Everyone is very nice. The dentist seems great. BUT I had the most painful dental cleaning of my life this morning, and I didn't have much of any buildup on my teeth according to the hygienist. I was not trying to hide the pain either. Pretty sure my face was scrunched up for most of it. Again, the hygienist was nice but overly aggressive with my poor gums. Even the polishing part was uncomfortable. If you have a sensitive mouth or typically find cleanings a little on the uncomfortable side, I would mention that up front so they can schedule you with someone who can work with you.

I showed up for my appointment, expecting to have to wait to go back. This office was on top of things and I went back had my appointment and was able to walk out all less then a half hour!!! I highly recommend this office!!!

Laramie Dental Arts is the BEST dental office in Laramie. I've been a patient there for about two years and have had several cleanings and fillings done at their office with two different dentists. I have never had a bad experience. Their staff are all exceptionally friendly and qualified and the Dentists there are great. Their dental hygienist Kathleen has does several cleanings on me and she is particularly fantastic; she is not only thorough (and relatively gentle) but I really appreciate how she explains to me what is going on and what I am doing well and what I could do better to keep my teeth clean and healthy. Their office is wonderful as well; it is very clean and comforting and all of their equipment is new and top-of-the-line. Their dental chairs are even massage chairs and they give you complementary wax hand treatments while you get your teeth worked on! Even with all of their fantastic equipment and employees they still seem to be the most reasonably priced dentist I've ever been to. Not only do they do a fantastic job working with your insurance but paying out of pocket is very reasonable. They run specials on elective treatments like teeth whitening (they make it so affordable that it makes more sense to get your teeth whitened there than to buy the store kits), and have done some quick cosmetic work on my teeth for free when I was there for something else. Overall the best dental office I have ever been to!

Laramie Dental Arts is great! Today was my first visit to a dentist in nine years. I was welcomed to the practice three times, by the Dental Hygienist, Dr. Hokanson, and one of tge office personnel. My Hygienist, Amelia was kind and explained each step thoroughly and the reasoning behind it. My teeth look great! I look forward to being a patient for many years to come!

I hate going to the dentist and when I went in for my cleaning, I had not been in almost 5 years. The staff was very friendly, entered my insurance quickly, and made me feel comfortable. The offices are very clean and they did not pressure me in to anything I did not want. Highly recommend them!

Worst dentist I have ever been to. Was told that if there was no infection it was possible to pull a tooth today, but the lady dentist wanted to prescribe antibiotics and have me come back another day. The tooth WAS not infected. I asked her why she wouldn't pull it and she said because we are closing soon. Instead of helping a patient in pain, she would rather go home! Avoid them!

Brian, the hygienist, is very detailed and knowledgeable. He is friendly and willing to answer any questions that a person might have.
