The place itself was great, my experience is what gets me down in stars. They told me they get paid directly from my insurance but after service they said they made a mistake and didn't. So it was $670 out of my pocket and a couple weeks wait for an insurance check. Otherwise the doctor couldn't have been friendlier and the service I got was some of the best I ever had.

I absolutely LOVE this office! Great doctors, Great staff, and Great facility. I could not have asked for more. Dr. Porter introduced me to a therapy that cured my migraines! It was amazing! I have not had a headache or migraine in over 9 months. The doctors are well trained in all areas of dentistry and they offer a variety of services that no other dentist in the area offers. I would highly recommend this office to anyone in search of quality dentistry!!!!!

WOW! My teeth have NEVER felt this clean before! I have been to many different dental offices, especially when I lived in Colorado and have never had such a great teeth cleaning! They even looked brighter after my appt and I didnt get any whitening! I highly recommend Bighorn Dental for thourough and precise cleaning! I was smiling all day!

I had a root canal yesterday, and now I think I am over my fear of the dentist! It's a huge deal to me. I have a little bit more work to be done, but I'm not nervous and I know the outcome with be fantastic! Dr. Porter does some fine work, and really makes you feel comfortable and pain-free. I have had some terrifying experiences at the previous office I went to, and Dr. Porter helped me to get over it, and on my way to beautiful healthy teeth! The assistants were superb. Very knowledgeable, gentle, and caring! The office staff is also helpful! They go out of their way to assist the patients, and every question gets answered. This clinic seems to have the latest and greatest technology. Not to mention that the building is very homey, with a relaxed atmosphere. I just love everyone at this office, and am so thankful that I found a dental clinic that is pain free, and makes you feel comfortable. I've never cared to write a review about anything before, but I think everyone should know about Big Horn Dental!

A few of my coworkers told me that they love the docs @ BHD so I walked in to talk about setting up an appointment. I talked to a lady named EIleen. She acted as if me showing up to make an appointment was a colossal inconvenience for her (if I could give her zero stars I would). She kept saying how they don't accept my insurance, even after I told her that my coworkers said they covered their cleaning at 100%, she acted like it would all be out of pocket . Her customer service was so bad. She didn't smile, she wasn't welcoming and very unhelpful. One of the girls in the office did try to bring it to her attention that I have good insurance but she was pretty much silenced, I actually felt sorry for her. Sorry BHD but you lost my business. Find a new receptionist!

I went a few years without cleaning and was very skeptical about going. I had my first appointment and my hygienist was so gentle and always making sure I was ok. Had a few cavities filled and just went back for my 6 month clean up. My hygienist is Nicole and she's amazing! They work with me on payments and everything. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone needing dental work done.

10/10 best patient care by all team members and the Doctors! In 2012 I broke a tooth and Dr. Lee placed a vaneer on what was remaining and matched it nicely! People still cannot tell which one is a vaneer. Big Horn Dental strives for the highest level of care and never falls short of it! I trust them with all my dental care!!

The staff of Big Horn Dental Clinic treat you like family. Dr. Lee is an amazingly friendly skilled doctor who had wonderful assistants, whom were very great helping him with the IV sedation process, which I don't recall any pain before being put under to have my wisdom teeth removed. Next thing I knew they were done and I healed greatly after the process, it was painless and an easy healing. I highly recommend the great friendly staff at your local Big Horn Dental Clinic.

I am not pleased with this place. I worked in Gillette and when to Big horn Dental clinic for a regular Check up. My teeth were good as far as I could tell I just wanted them to check them out and clean them. Per the usual X- rays were taken. Next thing you know..... I have not one not two but six cavities. Not teeth falling out of my face cavities but too small to be distinguishable by the untrained eye. I am no dentist so I took it for what it was and had them fix it. I have never had a cavity before in my life. “Luckily” They were only small and an easy fix. No root canal no nothing expensive should be relatively easy and all I need to do is “floss”. I leave Gillette because I am no longer work in the area and with in 3 weeks “oops” I was flossing and not on but two fillings come out during the flossing process. This is a not even a month after the fact. Then eight months later out comes number three. I am sure that I don't need to be a doctor to know that fillings are not supposed to work like that.

Bighorn Dental is amazing. I have horrible dental anxiety and these guys were very understanding and did everything in their power to make me more comfortable. From the first initial phone call I made I was impressed the Ladies up front are amazing, they are very friendly very informed and involved with everything. and all the way to walking out the door I was truly impressed. they all work together wonderfully and it just creates an amazing experience. If they can't get you in when they schedule you, they shouldn't make a schedule. I have never had to wait for so long. My time is valuable, I can't sit in a waiting room all day. Then they always want to to do more that what you went in for. They filled a tooth that wasn't even bothering me, and now I have a tooth pain. Thanks alot! They just want your money, they will talk you into something you don't actually need.

This place is so cool I don't even have the words to describe it. The staff are really friendly and know what they are doing. I really enjoy coming here because the staff try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. They are always laughing and having a good time! :) They also did a really good job on my cavitites!

They always do a great job with my teeth but I just wanted to say that I brought my 2 month old to my appointment with me and he was getting growly in his car seat so one of hygienists (amber?) took him and held him and put him to sleep while I got my teeth cleaned. A real family friendly place to go. Very happy

Great service but they are not in-network for any insurance which they did disclose upfront. But this means that when your insurance pays 50%, 80%, or 90% for a given service, it's the percentage of the accepted amount (by the insurance) that the insurance pays, not the percentage of the submitted amount by the dentist. This means that you can pay substantially more depending on your insurance's fee schedule compared to the dentist's fee schedule. For example, if a service costs $1000, your insurance pays 50% of that service. You may think that they will pay $500. However your EOB may come back saying that the maximum amount allocated for that service is $800 and your insurance will pay $400 instead of the $500 you thought they would pay. In the end, you will pay $600 out-of-pocket instead of $500 and that adds up quickly! That was not made clear when I signed up.

I first went to their office because it was close to my apartment. I called and asked if they accepted my insurance. They said yes so I made an appointment. This was lie. They didn’t so I had to pay all the costs upfront out of my pocket and wait weeks to be reimbursed for some of the charges from my insurance. Second after I called to cancel my future appointment months in advance they sent me a bill saying I had a past due balance. I checked my old credit card statement to find that I had already paid at time of service what they were claiming was past due. I called them, but they said I had to show proof of payment. Just completely unprofessional if not unethical! I showed proof of payment and they appologiezed, but what would have happened if didn’t have a 6 month old bank statement? Overall I am very unhappy with my experience. The insurance issue they surprised me with cost me hundreds of dollars extra out of my pocket. The care provided was adequate but not worth all the stress and extra money.

Y'all are amazing! You have great ventilation so your office doesn't have that "dentist office smell." Your patient rooms and the waiting room are very separate. I love that you have a little kid's waiting room as well. Everyone was so nice and flexible with me having my baby along for the appointment. The girl who did my xrays and cleaning was very nice; She talked to me about everything before she did it and made sure to answer all of my questions. When Dr. Porter came in he was very nice and personable as well. When I was checking out, the receptionist went over my treatment plan with me and explained all of the the options I had. Everything was wonderful and it was the best dentist visit I have EVER had. I am, for once, not dreading the next visit! The only teeny tiny complaint I have is that my name was spelled incorrectly on all my files and after my visit it was spelled incorrectly on the email I received. I would expect that after signing in and filling out all the paperwork that my name would be spelled correctly.

I went there and not only was I descriminated against for my lip piercing but the dentist/doctor himself was unbelievable!!! He kept mentioning how my insurance wasnt enough for him to do what he wanted. He also kept mentioning how it doesnt cover his tools or pay him enough. I was appalled. They talked about this all in front of my child! My child should have no business listening to him rip apart the only insurance I can afford! >:( I will never go there again or recomend it to anybody. In fact Ill tell people not to go there!!!

We've been going to see Dr. Nichols for years and we've always had great experiences. Both of my children have been made to feel comfortable by the front desk staff, the hygienists, and the doctor. It's always nerve wracking taking children to the doctor but everyone in the building makes sure it's a positive experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Big Horn Dental!

I have been a customer there for about 3 years, last July went in for a check up and cleaning was told I had 2 cavities and needed a crown. I haven't had any issues with my teeth so I postponed getting it done. I had a cleaning done at Powder River Dental with all of the x-rays they said my teeth were great. The only reason I doubted them was because a coworker was told they had 11 cavities by Bighorn Dental, she went to a different dentist and they told her she had 4 cavities. If you have extra money to spend Bighorn Dental is the place go they will fix the stuff that doesn't need to be done.

Overpriced!!! They want 1200 for a crown on the smallest tooth. My husband's 4 tooth partial cost the same price. This place is ridiculous! Dentist needs to go back to Phoenix!

Being that I am originally from Rapid City I was not sure about where to get my teeth fixed . I needed some teeth removed... long story short. I am so thankful for going to Big Horn Dental Clint Lee was very professional and extremely thorough at his job, pulling 3 teeth 1 wisdom top tooth and 1 abscess tooth also on the top. Very reasonable prices I am not one to talk about places unless they stand out and are worth mentioning . With that my family now has a local dentist. Thank you so much Big Horn Dental and Clint Lee
