From Stars to finish, my experience with the staff at Alpine was great. Making an appointment was easy and checking in is streamlined. The waiting room is clean and welcoming. I needed a root canal, which they sent me to an endodontist for, and came back here for the final filling. Even though I've had a root canal before, Dr. B still explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions. I never felt like the staff was rushing or hurrying to the next patient. Really great experience and highly recommend.

But this team makes it highly tolerable!!

I did not have a good experience at this Dentistry. Went in for severe wisdom tooth pain twice in one week and it was misdiagnosed and I was given costly and bad advice on both occasions. Ended up contacting another practice and my dental pain/problem was recognized and solved in 15 minutes. What I received from Alpine Dentistry for severe pain brought on by a wisdom tooth pressing against my upper molars: I was explained that wisdom tooth pain is a MYTH (so it couldn't be that?) That he (the dentist) wasn't sure it (my pain) was a dental issue. A complete set of x-rays when I was in for wisdom tooth pain. Was given a antibiotics for an infection in another part of my mouth. As it turned out, it was not an infection but a full pocket. Cost: around $175 Second visit several days later: Pain was excruciating several days after the first visit. Clearly something is still wrong. This is what I got on my second visit to Alpine Dentistry: I was told that I might have a cracked tooth below the wisdom tooth. And that this was not a dental issue and recommended a Periodontist and that I have a root plane and scale. I had one last year - so it is not that. I was given a syringe and told to rinse with salt water. Cost: around $70 Pain was so bad within several days that I ended up calling a third time. Alpine Dentistry is closed on Monday. I contacted another practice and they were able to listen to me and recognize that the wisdom tooth needed to come out. 15 minutes I was pain free. Cost: $180 Lesson: Do not visit Alpine dentistry if you are experiencing wisdom tooth pain.

Dr. Bergien solved my problem! During a dental cleaning exam, I mentioned that my jaw was 'popping' and I was waking up in the mornings with intense headaches. Sometimes, the headaches lasted most of the day. Dr. Bergien talked to me about possible causes and suggested that I make an appointment and we do some investigating. I am so glad that I followed through. After a detailed exam and further x-rays, Dr. Bergien thought that a custom splint/bite guard was needed. Since getting my bite guard 6 months ago, my jaw has 'popped' only twice and my headaches are GONE! Part of the problem was that I was grinding my teeth, in my sleep. Since getting my custom bite guard, I have become much more aware of when I'm grinding my teeth and have discovered that when I'm stressed, I grind my teeth. Though I only have to wear my bite guard at night, I've learned that if I start getting a headache during the day, putting my bite guard in for a few hours usually makes the developing headache completely disappear. Dr. Bergien has solved my jaw 'popping' and headache problems. The quality of my mornings and days has improved immensely! I can't thank him enough.
