I was visiting Washington from another country and was experiencing pain, infection and a loose implant. I contacted Dr. Marlin's office and explained my situation. The lady was so helpful and concerned and arranged an appointment for the Monday morning. I was welcomed in a caring and professional way by the office staff and felt very comfortable when I met Dr. Marlin. He assessed my dental problem, but felt I needed to see a Periodontist. He acted wholly in my best health interest and Dr. Marlin immediatly consulted with Dr, I. Puterman and forwarded my Xray. My implant is now out, surgery completed and I cannot speak highly enough of both Dr. Marlin and Dr. Puterman. Nobody ever wants to go to the dentist, but these two Doctors are the ones to go to when needed. Staff support contributed to a great team effort at these offices.

Dr. Marlin put in the needed time to best design my porcelain crowns, with natural ridges and perfect luminance. It fits in perfectly with my smile, I'm certainly glad I didn't use any other prosthodontist for the most important investment I have ever made.

I have had extensive dental work done since I was a young child and wanted to find a holistic solution for cosmetic reasons, but more importantly for dental heath reasons. I set up consultation appointments with 3 different prosthodentits in order to make an informed decision. Dr Marlin was the first one i went to. I was so confident in him after the consultation that i selected him and cancelled the other 2. I was so right. I had extensive work done, 20 ceramic crowns and 4 root canals. It was a lengthy process, but Dr Marlin and the entire staff did everything possible to provide me with the best care. Everyone was thorough, punctual, polite, caring and professional. Dr Marlin is a perfectionist and I truly appreciate his attention to every aspect of the procedures, including my comfort. They were also flexible in accommodating my schedule. we had numerous 8 hour sessions at my request. The lab and the technician that actually produced the temporaries and final crowns is in house, that is a huge plus. Felix is an artist and as much a perfectionist as Dr Marlin. Dr Marlin worked with Felix to get the perfect shape, bite and color. I couldn't be happier with results. I even had a person in a midwest town tell me she knew i wasnt from there because my teeth were so nice. It is a pleasure to smile now. Thank you Dr Marlin and staff. I personally experienced Dr. Marlin’s professional and expert attention in inserting and restoring 2 implants and 6 crowns over a period of 15 years. He pays great attention to detail, has an efficient and prompt staff and makes sure that the process results in a successful conclusion. He understands implant, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry very well, but also has “magic fingers” that minimizes pain and discomfort. Most importantly he knows which other dentists you need on your team, whether it is a periodontist or dental surgeon. Everyone he suggested was top notch. I recommend Dr. Marlin very highly and there is no doubt why he has developed a reputation as the best Prosthetic Dentist in the DC/MD/VA area.

I never fully appreciated the difference between a "good" dentist in DC and Dr. Marlin. For 30 years I was a happy go lucky person getting regular checkups, cavities filled, an occasional crown. Then the trouble began with cracked fillings, loose fitting crowns, and root canals. Dr. Marlin became my "air traffic controller" guiding me through the process, making sure that when I left his care, I would have outstanding oral health, a beautiful smile, and crowns, fillings, etc. that would last a lifetime. He has been all that and a perfectionist to top it all off. My only regret is that I didn't start with him 30 years ago. He is a solid guy, has a well run practice, and you feel that you are in the hands of an experienced professional that has seen it all with a team that is solid and competent.

I think I found my dream dentist. I’ve been to many different dentists in the past. But I haven’t had much luck with my teeth. I’m ready to have Doctor Marlin to do a complete overhaul for my 4 front teeth which was badly done by several dentists in the past 17 years. I think I’ll be his client for life even I live more than an hour away from his office. —Follow up with my procedures— Today is May 7th 2019, and I had one front tooth extracted with the bone grafts by Doctor Marlin and his amazing staff (I’ve been to several dentists for consultations in the last 15 years, and everyone of them told me I need to remove this front tooth. Now is the time to do it with the very best dentist I can imagine). Doctor Marlin also removed the other three crowns and replaced all four front teeth with a temporary bridge in order for the final individual crowns to be done later (all four of these front crowns were done and redone by several dentists previously, and all these dentists were supposed to be very skillful by recommendations or by me searching the web. But my crowns always end up having issues and don’t look as nice or natural). So far, Doctor Marlin and his staff took their precious time and talents and had my procedures done amazingly and painlessly. My temporary bridge looks way more beautiful than my previous permanent crowns. Also, Doctor Marlin doesn’t run around in between his clients like all my previous dentists did, even though Doctor Marlin was working on his other clients but the pace was very organized unlike all my other dentists. Also, my numb medications already worn off but I still don’t feel any pain yet, and it’s been approximately 7 hours since the procedures completed. Thank you so much Doctor Gerald Marlin. You are the best.

Dr. Marlin redid my two front crowns and restored my gray gums. Now I can smile and no one can tell that my front teeth aren't real--often even I forget! When I was 15, I had a bike accident and broke my front two teeth. Since then I've been struggling to find a solution. After seeing about 10 specialists, each of whom tried to convince me of a different treatment (including bridges, implants and veneers), I found Dr. Marlin through a Google search. Since he does both implants and crowns, I decided to check him out hoping for less biased opinion. I was very impressed with his record, so I decided to go ahead. Dr. Marlin and his staff were wonderful at all times. He redid my crowns and matched them perfectly to my teeth. He even had to make them twice because the first pair looked great under the office light, but looked grayish in natural light. The result was so awesome that my treatment was used as case study for gum restoration. I highly recommend Dr. Marlin.

The receptionist at the office is extremely unprofessional and completely turned me away from wanting to schedule an appointment. She was rude, sarcastic, condescending and not helpful in answering my questions. Dr Marlin may want to review his office procedures to prevent this from deterring future patients.

Dr. Marlin is a rockstar! I needed complicated work done and went to two different practices before stumbling upon Dr. Marlin's practice during one of my web searches on my quest to find the right doctor; and wow did he deliver! I remember leaving the office at the end of my first appointment and knowing I had found the one. I felt Dr. Marlin *got* what it is I wanted. Dr. Marlin quarterbacked a team including an orthodontist, orthognathic surgeon, periodontist, and endodontist over a 6-year period in a very challenging case that required creative thinking and expert implementation of the treatment plan. He and his office always were supportive and understanding; took the time to explain what would happen and the benefits and risks and costs; and helped coordinate with other specialists -- all with a great deal of flexibility to work with our needs.The end result is that our daughter now has a great smile that should last her a lifetime.

I have been going to this practice for more than forty years. Dr. Marlin is a master-recruiter: professional staff, business staff, front-desk staff are all personable, A+ people, and they manage transitions in staffing and coverage during absences smoothly, so the quality of service has no gaps. It is a consistent pleasure to deal with the office. And the professional care, from Dr. Marlin's prosthetic bridges (my first need) to implants into fragile jawbones (my wife's situation) and on to regular dental hygiene is guided by one principle: perfection. If I've had a minor complaint after a procedure, e.g., my tongue senses a rough edge, it is gladly adjusted to be . . . perfect. Two other things I would note: the dentists Dr. Marlin refers one to, e.g., for endodontics or orthodontics, are also superb. And Dr. Marlin is more than a dentist; he has a D.M.D. degree and more than once, when he has noticed something beyond my mouth that is potentially worrisome, he has suggested I ask my doctor to check it out. I have lived in other parts of the world and other parts of the country and I realize I am fortunate to live in an area with such excellent health care providers and to be able to afford the best. Dr. Marlin's practice is the best.
