My new crowns look great, and even though my temporary ones had some issues along the way (I grind my teeth at night), he found the time to get me in that day and fix them at no additional cost. I've been going to Dr. Ellenbogen for a number of years. That alone says a lot because until then I used to go from doctor to doctor trying to find a good dentist. The search is now over. Dr. Ellenbogen is professional and if you are interested in cosmetic dentistry he is the one to go see. He will take photographs of your mouth and have them cosmetic imaged so you know what the end result will look like even before treatment has begun. He works with an amazing dental laboratory and the final result is very natural and beautiful. My major concern was that my teeth would look like chicklets as it has happened to some of my friends who go to other dentists. Now all my friends want to see Dr. Ellenbogen. He is the best hands down in Northern Virginia. Thank you Dr. E. for everything!!!

Went to Dr. Ellenbogen for the first time two months ago. I have been to two other dentists in the Vienna area. After they did their examinations and x-rays they told me what I needed to have done. I thought it would be good idea to have one more opinion. Glad I did. Dr. Ellenbogen explained things to me in such a way that I actually understood what I needed to have done and why. He explained to me that I had different alternatives and not just one treatment plan that the other doctors insisted upon. I need a lot of work and could not afford everything at this time. He came up with a three-year plan and at the end of those three years I'll have the smile that I wanted. His front desk staff could not of been nicer. Right now I'm in the first stage of his plan and things are going along beautifully. He is a true professional, very gentle, and an incredibly nice person. Five stars

Went to see Dr. Ellenbogen for the first time about 6 months ago. I was referred to him by a good friend of mine after I moved to this area. I admit I am nervous about going to the dentist, but after meeting him I have to say I felt a little bit better. He explained everything to me about what was going on in my mouth and showed me everything with a special camera. I was always felt badly about my smile because my teeth are stained from taking an antibiotic when I was a child. He talked to me about the different options I had to correct this condition and explained to me what would give me the best result. My teeth also have always been short so I first had my gum line corrected by his periodontist who is in his office. Dr. Choudhary was great (the periodontist). After 3 weeks Dr. Ellenbogen started the porcelain veneer process and made me absolutely beautiful temporary veneers. 2 weeks later I came back and had the final veneers put on. Dr. Ellenbogen provided me headphones with beautiful music and I watched an overhead TV with a beautiful video of the beach. I was also given nitrous oxide. I have to say it was the most pleasant dental appointment I ever had. My smile is beautiful now and I couldn't be happier with Dr. Ellenbogen. His staff is great as well. By the way Dr. Ellenbogen is also very funny I have never laughed so much in a dental office before.

I have been coming to see Dr. Ellenbogen for my routine dental care since 2013, and I could not be happier with the care I've received. I have had routine cleanings as well as some minor dental work done (several fillings and an onlay). He also replaced a permanent retainer and night guard for me. Dr. E has an incredibly high standard for the quality of work he does, as well as for the comfort of his patients. His staff and dental hygienists are warm, friendly, and skilled - I have had wonderful experiences with both Rosa and Esther. They have always been flexible and accommodating, and have fit me in in short notice when something urgent arose. I would highly recommend Dr. Ellenbogen to anyone looking for a great dentist!

Dr. Ellenbogen and staff are very personable. He does beautiful veneers but unfortunately this is the 2nd time I've had a vaneer actually fall out while eating. This is not supposed to happen! The first time I thought maybe it was just a fluke incident, but this time I know for sure that they were not done correctly and I'm so disappointed because I really love them. Also, my husband had fillings done and he had to go back again because they were not fitting properly. I'm not sure what the issue is, but please be aware that this could happen to you too if you visit this dentist.

I went to see Dr. Ellenbogen about three months ago. I found him on his website. I looked at his smile gallery and he showed an example of my situation that I was facing. I had some old crowns and large white fillings in the front that were done a long time ago. The crowns were wide and short. He told me about gum sculpting and how the periodontist in his office would reshape my gum tissue and then he would do two new porcelain crowns and two new porcelain veneers. I could not be happier with the result. He explained everything to me at my consultation appointment and made me beautiful temporaries while I waited for the final crowns and veneers. My wife went to see Dr. Ellenbogen as a new patient 4 months ago and was very impressed by him and his office staff. ( I might add that she is not easily impressed) On her recommendation she suggested for me to see him. My smile has bothered her for a long time and I finally decided it was time for me to do something about it. I must say I also was impressed as she was and the office as a whole. It is beautiful. It's clean and up to date and Dr. Ellenbogen actually listened to me about my concerns and fears. I told him I wanted a NATURAL looking smile. I have seen so many smiles that advertise that you have had cosmetic dentistry and I didn't want that. All I can say is that Dr. Ellenbogen surpassed my expectations. Not only is my smile great, but it IS NATURAL. He did porcelain veneers and crowns on my top and bottom teeth and after 2 appointments and 2 weeks I was done. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Ellenbogen is the best dentist I have every been to in my life. He is very friendly and makes you feel at ease while you are there. I went there initially with pain in my teeth and he took over an hour to x-ray and look over my whole mouth and explain, in detail, the problems I was having (due to another dentists shoddy work) and how we were going to go about fixing everything at no charge. It took a few visits and every time I was there he was wonderful. He explains everything he is going to do before, or as he is doing it. One of the teeth that we fixed was still giving me issues and he went back over and examined it and found the problem and he redid everything for free the second time which was awesome! I would highly recommend Dr. Ellenbogen to anyone who is looking for a dentist. It is no wonder he is one of the top dentists in Northern VA. He goes above and beyond for his patients. I have been a patient of Dr. E's for about three years now, and I have had a variety of complicated things done including root canals and crowns and an implant that was done in conjunction with another doctor in the practice. I simply did not know what good dental care was until I moved over to this practice. He has a great staff, wonderful hygenists, and modern equipment that helps you to visualize the problems as well as the results. He has fit me in when I had an emergency, and I have never had any billing problems or scheduling issues. They have an auto-reminder system, too. Bottom line: Dr. Ellenbogen is personable and a really smart doctor, he won't treat you like a dummy, and you'll get great, comfortable treatment in a nice office location (with really big windows).

I had two implants which I am thrilled about - and after having my two kids my teeth completed shifted and was embarrassed to smile. My Invisalign treatment that was performed by Dr.Ellenbogen has exceeded my expectations! My teeth look great and I show all my friends the before and after pictures - they can't believe it! Dr. Ellenbogen, I can honestly say has changed my life. I went to see him about nine months ago with a number of broken teeth and teeth in the front of my mouth that had huge old fillings and very discolored. I hated to smile. And whenever I did smile I would put my hand over my mouth. Dr. Ellenbogen was recommended to me by a good friend. I am so glad he was. First time I met him he told me everything could be fixed and how we would go about it. He took photos of my teeth and then digitally corrected my smile so I could get a preview of what I would look like before any work had started. Absolutely fantastic experience! Wonderful, caring, friendly, skilled dentist. Has a great sense of humor also. Makes you feel totally assured and comfortable. He resolved a minor issue regarding placing a crown on an implanted tooth immediately whereas another dentist (Dr Eva Pleta located in Vienna VA ) took 7 (yes, seven) visits but simply had no clue what she was doing and it was not going anywhere with her! Dr Ellenbogen explains everything and exceeds expectations at every stage. He treated a painful tooth with great care and even explained to me personally over phone on the day of the treatment itself as I was a bit unsure about something. He did not try to sell root canal treatment when it is not needed(unlike many other dentists I have been to). I honestly wish he could do what an oral surgeon also does so that I do not have to ever see any other dentist - for example extractions or anything else whatsoever. His assistant is smart too. Thank you so much Dr Ellenbogen and team. Recommend him 200%.

I'm 40 years old, and I proudly profess that I've known Gary as my dentist and my friend since I was 8 years old. His talents shine thorugh as a general dentist, as a provider of more complex procedures such as crowns, as well as with his passion, cosmetic dentistry. My teeth had shifted significantly since I had less-than-quality orthodontic work in my teens, causing me to have self-esteem hang-ups in regards to my teeth. The most honest and skilled dentist I've ever been too. I've been seeing Dr. Ellenbogen for 4 years now and have nothing but good to say about him. Before finding Dr. Ellenbogen, I hated going to the dentist. It honestly terrified me. I've been coming here for 4 years and now I'm moving and I want to take him with me! I've had regular cleanings done--and each time I leave I feel confident with my smile. I have also had 2 onlays put in. ---When I first moved here 4 years ago I decided to go to a handful of dentists and get their opinion on my teeth. The dentists before I came here wanted to give me full crowns on multiple molars and they weren't consistent with one another. I came to Dr. Ellenbogen and he was completely knowledgeable and transparent with me about what was going on with my teeth. His goal was to be the least invasive as possible and do procedures only as necessary. With both of my onlays he showed me all the good tooth still left and told me how it would have been sad to just do a crown and get rid of all that good tooth! The office is up to date and they use all the best technology. He seems to just really know what he's doing--and love what he does. It was the first time in my dental experience (20 years) that I didn't cry before, during or after a procedure. I LOVE coming here and I wish they had more honest and skilled dentists like Dr. Ellenbogen in the world.

I came to Dr. Ellenbogen in the middle of of an extensive restoration process. I had lost my front four teeth in my late teens and several of the adjacent teeth later. I was always loathe to smile and lived in fear of the partial denture breaking when I bit something. It was a long process but the good Doctor insured my comfort at all times. The results are way beyond my expectations. The attention to detail and meticulous work is clearly evident. There are before and after photos on Dr. Ellenbogen's site. Oh, and he is also a really nice man.
