Does anyone like going to the dentist? YES! Forest Dental is quick and painless, literally. I had a filling replaced today. I didn't feel the needle stick at all and the doctor and assistant worked so well together I was amazed. I was able to leave in less than an hour. Awesome people, from the office staff throughout.

Never excited about dental visits but this is the best dental office I’ve ever been to and I’m almost 60. I’ve been a customer for roughly 10 years. Professional and kind staff. Dr Dan is excellent and the dental assistants and hygienists are terrific. There is no weak area from front desk to billing. I do think they could benefit from one additional patient bathroom but that is nitpicking at a very high level.

Dr. Johannsen is our favorite! All of the doctors are very knowledgeable and have a great bedside manner. My family and I have been coming here for over 5 years and have complete faith in letting them rotate me and my family around to see all the doctors.. The bills, coverage, procedures and estimates have always been clearly explained. Today, we waited 5 minutes to check in while the receptionist ignored us. She actually got up from her seat and then picked up some packages and then put them on the counter next to her. So I went to a chair sat down and left my daughter at the counter. My daughter turned around and looked at me at some point as to come up so I did. The receptionist asked if someone had helped me, so I looked around as if to laugh at the possibility of any one else helping me but her. My daughter gave her name and she immediately said we were checked in. It's fine to give your receptionist additional duties but if her main job is not checking in patients or other jobs are a priority like mail, then at least get a check-in sheet like every other practice. The receptionist sets the mood for the rest of the visit so make sure someone is there that has the appearance of a pleasant attitude.

They tell you that you will owe nothing then bill you later.Take no responsibility for not telling you the truth that your insurance doesn’t cover the complete amount, and two of the three ladies in billing are really nice but one is very disrespectful and hateful. My family and I have been going there for years but that will come to an end.today they have lost 8 Patients and I hope anyone reading this does the same before this happens to you

I like this dental office and I love Dr Johanssen. Best dentist ever. However, please check with your insurance before agreeing to any service or payment. Staff does not help with claim coverage. They write up a breakdown and have you sign it, agreeing to pay the patient portion due at time of service. Okay yea that's great what will I owe and I'll agree to service and that dollar amount. But no, you find out later your insurance didn't cover the procedure at all. They assumed insurance would pay, but now your stuck with the a huge dental bill :(

I was also lied to about my treatment, and when I said that wasn’t right, I was lied to again, and intimidated into accepting the treatment provided. But mistakes were made, and they didn’t accept any responsibility...just lied, and what I felt like intimidated me into accepting what they did to my smile.

This is going to be a rather lengthy rant, but I am rather angry. Here we go: so in April of 2017 I had dental work done at Forest Dental Center on Graves Mill Rd and they gave me quotes of how much it'd be and I signed off and made two payments, one in April and one in May during my second visit. In the space of a month, between the two services, one would assume they would've processed something with the insurance company and had been able to tell me if I owed anything further, but no. They did not and I made my second, and what I assumed to be final, payment and was ushered out the door. I never received a statement and I went about my life. Fast forward to January of 2018, when filing my taxes, I called and asked for a summary of my account so I could file the medical expenses on my taxes. They sent me a summary and AGAIN, no one informed me I owed an outstanding balance. Later in January of 2018, I received a statement claiming I owed over $1,000 dollars to Forest Dental. Less than a week later I received a notice that my account had been forwarded to a collections agency. At this point I was confused and surely thought something was wrong. To make a long story short: I had double coverage at the time of the service and the primary insurance apparently quit covering restorative services and never thought to tell me since I was not the policy holder, but a dependent. So I start calling and calling and calling to try to fix things and the Insurance Coordinator, Sherry, either failed to return any of my FOUR messages or just ignored them. I finally got a hold of her and she agreed to put me on a payment plan and pull my account back. Mind you, this has taken over two weeks to correct due to the sheer inability to get in contact with anyone in regards to my account. (Could have affected my credit as I called the agency after Sherry promised to pull my account back, which she did not until I called her for a fifth time to "remind" her of what she'd promised.) I then asked for a discount due to the absolute nightmare that this has been and the failure to communicate the cost with me prior to or after service and Sherry promised she'd email me that afternoon after we hung up. ANOTHER WEEK GOES BY and NOTHING FROM SHERRY. So I call and ask to speak to the Manager, not Sherry. But Sherry answers. She can't remember what she told me, so I have to explain EVERYTHING again for the tenth time. She says she will call me back...again...after she talks with the manager about discounting my service. Anyways, no discount will be given and I cannot get in touch with the office manager because she's "busy." I AM IRATE. Never in my life have I experienced such horrible service or communication. I won't be going back and I recommend you take your business elsewhere, too.

Kind people, quick service, and a very very friendly atmosphere make this place a must if you have to have dental work done. I came in with a broken tooth and a huge cavity, this is the first dentist I’ve been to that actually made sure I was numb before getting started. It was a very comfortable atmosphere very clean very well organized. I really enjoyed my visit except for the fact that I had dental work done. That’s only because I’m deathly afraid of dentists. But Dr. Yeager May have changed that.
