Horrible! I was told to pay upfront and they will file a claim to the insurance. Weeks later when I called back they said they didn't research my insurance and that they are not in the plan. I needed my medical records transferred and they said they charge $25 pet xray image. To my knowledge, I should have access to my medical records free of charge or little charge.

I ADORE this office! Every time I visit, I have an amazing experience. Dr. Kamali makes getting dental work done a breeze. It’s always easy, painless and I feel 100% comfortable being there. I am usually terrified of going to the dentist (as most are) but the staff here makes it the best experience ever. I’ve had extractions, root canals, cleanings and fillings. Every procedure is under 30 minutes and the healing process is painless. I HIGHLY reccomend them for any procedure!! Thank you all so much!

Dr. Kirksey's practice (Fairfax Family Dental Care) is awesome. All the staff are friendly, their appointments are timely and their employees' skill level is superb. My son broke his front tooth after baseball practice and Dr. Kirksey was the only dentist we could find who was available that night for emergency treatment. He worked for 3.5 hours and put a smile back on my 10-year old’s face. We switched our family dental care to this practice and couldn’t be happier with the service and care for our family over the past 2.5 years. Dr. Simanek has been overseeing the orthodontic treatment of both my sons for the past two years. He is highly professional, extremely knowledgeable and great with kids. We are now moving out-of-state and one of first questions my older son asked was “What are we going to do about our dentist? Can we keep coming here, even if we move?” I don’t know that here is a better dental practice.

Fairfax Family Dental Care provided excellent care recently when I found myself in need of dental work. I don't have a regular dentist in the area and FFDC was able to accommodate me with an appointment the next day. The doctors and staff did a wonderful job. I plan to use them again in the future.

Do not go to this place. The staff is rude, the doctor is not professional, and the price is just unbelievable. On Google it says that they are open 24 hours but thats not true. There is an "extra charge" for them staying after normal hours. They will charge you $45 just for x-ray even if you dont need it. I dont think fixing a broken denture requires any x-ray.

I went to Dr. Kamali for a full mouth restoration; that is, crowning all of my teeth. From the first visit to the most recent, my opinion of the practice has not changed. His work is impeccable. I'm completely thrilled with the quality of the work, the feel of my teeth, the appearance ... everything. The process is, admittedly, long; but Dr. Kamali and every one at the practice, from the front desk to the dental assistants to the technicians, walked me through every step along the way with professional courtesy and care. Everyone I encountered at the practice had a positive, can-do, professional and friendly attitude ... no exception. The work of both Dr. Kamali and John, the technician who assisted him, is nothing short of artistry. Even my periodontist, who sets extremely high standards, is very pleased. If you are considering any sort of restorative work, you would do well to visit Dr. Kamali before you make any other commitments.

One of the money money minded dentist office i ever been to....You cant cancel the appointment even if its for your personal emergency...Even if its for snowstorm or any natural disaster all they need is money money....They always make single visit to multiple visits for money ....other than couple of good nurses , this place is the worst choice for dental problems....front office peoples are very rude....

Just had a root canal done yesterday by Dr. Kamali. It was fast and painless. Extremely happy with the visit. All staff are friendly and professional. Also had a cleaning done, again very happy. They all make you feel comfortable. No problem recommending them.

In Nov 2017, I had an accident at work and was referred by worker's compensation since there were not many dental offices that would file with worker's compensation. I had two front teeth that were busted out. They did a very good job in replacing and they look exactly like my two teeth. Everyone was nice etc, The problem is dealing with them when it came to the worker's compensation. Before going to this dentist office, they assured me they have filed claims before with Workers Comp. When I first got there, the main dentist (can't remember his name)filled out the paper work and ran it through the system but came back with no funds available yet (at least that is what I was told). I made a deal with the dentist, that if workers comp would not repay it (which they would have) I would be glad to pay the bill. He said that would be fine. After three months went by, I received the bill. There was no attempt to contact Workers Comp from the Dentist office. It was not until I called from the first bill I got they finally tried to submit the paperwork. Then it would be a few weeks from hearing anything and no return calls. This went on several times. I explained to the lady that it is not my fault they were not submitting the paper work correctly and told them they should not be part of workers compensation if they are having so much trouble doing so. She became rude and claim that I was one who is being mean when I simply just stated a fact. Especially when I called from the very beginning to make sure they knew how to do and if they were able to do it.I just now paid off the bill today that I should not have had to paid but glad it is over with. No discounts offered for their mistakes and money I could have used for something else important. I kept my word even when it was there fault. There is more detail to this review, but don't want to drudge it out.

Hello, I don’t usually leave reviews, but this time I felt it was necessary to let people know I found a terrific dentist. A couple of years ago I was in need of a specialist to repair my crown. Dr. Kamali was the dentist I was assigned. Dr. Kamali treated me as if I had been a patient of his for years. I have had great anxiety with dental visits previously yet within a few minutes he was able to assure me that I was in good hands. I returned for major work including, 2 new crowns, 2 extractions and two bridges. Because he took the time to explain his personalized plan for me in detail I was able to comfortably complete the first stage in one day. Dr Kamali has now been my dentist for 3 years. His staff are professional and were very kind to me. I hope this review will give you the confidence to reach out to Dr. Kamali for any of your dental needs.

Dr. Kirksey is my son's dentist and orthodontist. He has done a great job convincing my son (a teenager) about the importance of dental hygiene and discipline. He has kept us informed regarding the level of care provided and has accommodated us with short-notice appointments and reasonable payment plans. Although I'm in the military now and get treated at the military dental clinic, I will elect to have Dr. Kirksey as my dentist upon retirement.

This dentist, as many here have described, is a crook. I had a chipped tooth on a Saturday and had to travel the next day. I went in and and he spent 1.5 hrs doing 30 minutes works. It was a small chip on the front tooth, so pretty straght forward repair. He billed my insurance company for 8 items, 4 of which and over half of the charges involved photos and xrays. The insurance company expaned that three billed items were unnecessary and would not cover them. As an in network dentist, this "should" mean that he drops the cbarges. However, he has already billed me and refuses to reimburse me. I plan to take the time to ensure he either reimburses me the correct amount or he is dropped from the in network list for delta dental.

These guys saved our vacation with the grandkids! I woke up with pain in my jaw which got worse by the minute. Found this emergency dental care and called them. They took me immediately and even worked through their lunch hour to give me a root canal and temporary cap to stop the pain. In a couple of hours, I was in our daughter and son-in-law's backyard playing baseball with their boys!

I am writing this two months after my last visit to their office. My overall experience of the Dr. Kirksey and his office is poor (understatement). If you are reading this, please find another dentist. I went for a procedure that I’ve had done twice before (once by his son who works there as well) and it was horrendous. A two hour (max) procedure took five hours, I’m not exaggerating. Those five hours, he only worked on my teeth for less than an hour, during which he was in constant haste because he was running room to room working on others. The procedure itself was an absolute torture keeping my mouth open for that long and even worse he was berating his assistant the entire time. I had a talk with him after, he apologized and tried to make me feel better by telling me how good of a job he did on my teeth. At the end, when it was time to reschedule, he told the assistant to schedule me with another dentist in a snarky way as if I was the problem. The only reason I went to his office was because his son (nice guy) removed my molars for a good price. To conclude, Dr. Kirksey is unprofessional, grumpy and tense. The atmosphere there was very uncomfortable and after comparing his office to my current dentist’s office, everything there is completely out of date just like the doctor.

Friendly professional staff. Very reasonable rates especially compared to newer dental practices. And, more importantly honest. Our previous dentist told us that all three kids had cavities that needed to be filled which even with insurance is expensive at that practice. So I moved to Fairfax Family Dental Care as a way to mitigate costs. FFDC is reasonable with their fees. What surprised us is that it turned out that only one kid needed fillings and the other two did not. Two dentists from FFDC confirmed this for us. Whether the previous dentist made a mistake or not, I can't say but my trust is gone. My trust is now with FFDC.

I found this office on Goggle under emergency cosmetic dentistry. I traveled all the way to Virginia. I went to have an unsightly chipped bonding on my front tooth repaired because I'm going on a trip. The office took regular and Arial ex rays of my entire head. This probably won't be covered by my insurance company. The dentist would not repair the chipped bonding temporarily so that it wouldn't be unsightly on my trip. He offered to remove teeth and said that it would cost approx. 5000.00. His bedside manner was not good. It appeared that he only wanted to do an expensive job. I know that I need the work done and I plan to have it done. But I will not do it there because they would not help me with the temporary job. I found another dentist who was willing to do the temporary work so that I would feel comfortable on my trip. I'll pay his office the 5000.00 to do the permanent work. This office wants money,money,money.

Nice work Dr. Kamali and the nurses. I recommend visiting the clinic if needed. Dr. Kamali is professional in doing root canal procedure. The clinic is also organized and clean. The only think bothered me little bit is the photos they take, but it’s NOT a big deal:) I am feeling good about the Fairfax Family Dental Care clinic and i will visit them soon for the teeth cleaning.

We went there recommended by a dentist friend for a second opinion on my son’s dental work. Dr. Kirksey was amazing, he spend over an hour with us, very personable and knowledgeable, he made sure we - including my son- understood everything and explained the whole procedure that he recommended for him. We got a free first consultation with panoramic X-rays and 3D pictures of his mouth. We are so please with the way he treated us that we can’t wait to start treatment there.

I cannot say enough good things about this practice. I found them on accident. I fell down the stairs and broke my two front teeth. No one else would help me, but Dr. Kirksey had me come in on Mother's Day and did two root canals and put temporary crowns in on the same day. He didn't rush even though it was a "holiday" He was very helpful. In addition, his staff has been very helpful so far in working with my insurance to make sure my medical insurance covers it. I just had my permanent crowns placed today and I cannot even share how excited I am!! I was so nervous, but they look great.

Concerned about transparency - I am looking for new dentist because we moved. I called this office and they were nice to make appointment fast but then I started to read the reviews and got scared. Called the office to make sure that I don't get stock with an unreasonable bill. And they could not tell me how much it would const to visit and how the insurance payment would be processed. With so much unknown, I feel I am at risk. Hope I can find a dentist honest and transparent like my current one just close to me.

I just had a cleaning and polish, my insurance covers so no billing issues. The reminder system of text messages and calls were helpful keeping me on track for the appointment. Arrived 15 minutes before schedule signed in waited 10 Min and then I was called. Hygienist did a great job was not rough at all. Easy access and plenty of parking. This was my second visit and everything went as smooth as the first visit.

My mom paid $3,000 for invisalign. I went to him during the time of my invisalign when i was 17 and only saw him maybe ONE TIME...and MY TEETH DID NOT GET STRAIGHT! He said this is the best I could do...then, he took advantage of me being young and innocent, he made me sign a piece of paper saying I would have to pay more to get my teeth straightened (mind you, if my mom was there, she would have demanded him to get my teeth straight for the amount of money she spent). HE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME! and I regret it til this day. I am now 23 years old and I regret signing that piece of paper. I would never go back to him. He is a horrible doctor.

Absolutely horrible. I came in for braces and my process was longer than it should have been and now my top teeth are worse than they were to start. Also I came to get a replacement of one retainer and turned out to get a different material for my new one. So now my top and bottom retainers are different feelings. Do NOT recommend this place at all

Fairfax Family Dental Care is an outstanding dental practice that performs a wide range of regular and specialized services including crowns, bridges, implants, root canals, orthodontics, and much more. The facility is excellent, and all of the staff, professional as well as support, are extremely competent and pleasant to deal with. Unlike many dental practices, they perform almost all of the services in-house, so you are unlikely to get farmed out to another practice for a procedure. They accept a wide range of dental insurance, which helps to keep the costs very reasonable. My personal dentist there, Dr. Milan Simanek, is extremely competent, both in his advice and in his professional work. He is always looking out for what is best for the patient, and he has an excellent bedside manner. The dental assistants who work with him are superb as well. Dr. Simanek has performed a number of dental procedures on me, and I am 100 percent satisfied with everything he has done. Most people do not like to go to the dentist, but I always feel self-assured and relaxed when I see Dr. Simanek. His work transcends the scientific and passes into the realm of the artistic.

I am literally beside myself leaving this office after witnessing the dentists blatantly disrespect and yell at their staff to complete tasks. It was so outrageous that it seems unreal. The treatment to patients isn’t must better - bedside manner is deplorable to say the least. This place is a rip-off operation from start to finish. I didn't realize this was why they spent so long taking photos. They must have been sued numerous times already. Don't trust any of their advice! And, for sure, don't trust their representations about what your insurance company will reimburse -- if only you will pay 100% of their inflated charges up front. They will put fake numbers in an official-looking chart to help convince you. And, they will sell it like the snake oil salesmen they are. Don't go here! Don't let your family go here! And, for Pete's sake, don't trust a word they say! I wish I could give 0 stars.

I had not been to dentist in about a year and a half, so I had some issues that needed attention. I was able to quickly get appointments for follow up care. The dental suites were large and well lit. I would recommend to you friends.

Fairfax Family Dentally Care is run by Dr. Charles Kirksey. It is difficult to express how horrific my experience with Dr. Kirksey was. I saw him for a teeth cleaning and orthodontic evaluation, and fled his office in tears. Dr. Kirksey used information in my medical history to launch a personal attack against me and insult me repeatedly. He pushed his own agenda (which had absolutely nothing to do with teeth) and angrily gave me unsolicited medical advice that directly opposed the counsel of two of the best specialists in the DC area -- doctors, mind you, who ACTUALLY GRADUATED FROM MEDICAL SCHOOL. I couldn't get a word in edgewise to tell him he was way off base. At one point he said, "You can't trust doctors to tell you what you need to hear! I’LL tell you what you need to hear!!!” He got in my face and only intensified his verbal attack when I started to cry. He was between me and the door. I absolutely felt threatened. His tirade lasted for several minutes. As I was running out the door I heard him yelling abusively at a female staff member. HORRIFYING.

I have been a patient with this office for about 30 years. Drs. Kamali and Kirksey and staff are ethical, professional, up to date in treatment and diagnosis, friendly and accessible. They offer a wide range of needed treatments. When there is an immediate issue, they work that day to get you in to be seen. I highly recommend this practice.
