The doctors & staff here are of the highest quality. I broke some teeth 15 yrs ago in a childhood biking accident and finally had a procedure done for some new teeth. They did a really great job restoring and improving my teeth, paying attention to detail and specially tailoring everything for me. Highly recommend.

Ernest Recker

Some of their guys are not too sharp others are OK.

I went to Dr. Singer's office in Alexandria, and it was the first time I wasn't terrified to be at the dentist! The office is in old town Alexandria and is just beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly/helpful and welcoming. I needed a last minute appt before a trip and they were extremely accommodating and managed to squeeze me in. Dr. Singer is a great dentist and is very knowledgeable. He told me more about my teeth/jaw after just looking than any other dentist that has seen me repeatedly has told me. Highly recommend!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Singer's for over 15 years now, and I won't trust anyone else with my teeth! He's helped with braces, an expander and veneers, and has kept everything in tip top shape over the years. I'm grateful for my smile, and more confident than ever to smile big!

Dr. Singer is AMAZING! He helped my husband STOP snoring. No operations, no awful C-Pap machine just 2 appliances 1 for the day and 1 for the night. The first night with the appliance my husband stopped snoring and slept peacefully through the night. We are very grateful for Dr. Singer and his incredible knowledge, truly an incredible doctor. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Singer, get your spouse in to see him ASAP and get back to a great night of sleep and a healthy, happy life!

I went to Dr. Singer to deal with my TMJ issues stemming from an overbite. After only 3 and half months, my bite was corrected by a combination of propel surgery and round the clock care. The office staff is truly exceptional, from buying me a train ticket for an appointment when I was in a different city or answering my numerous questions about my progress with my braces. DC Smiles makes you feel like you're their number one case, and they have the knowledge and expertise to fix the most subtle of issues you could be facing.

Dr. Singer and his team at DC Smiles are amazing to work with. The incredible care and attention has been tremendous. Without getting into much detail, I can tell you Dr. Singer's work has greatly impacted my life.

Mark Domanski

A very clean and modern office.

I've been a patient of Dr. Singer for a number of years. I recently began a procedure for an implant. As usual, the entire process was painless. His work has been absolutely terrific in every way. Dr. Singer's office is spotless, his staff is very professional and he takes the time to explain your options as well as keeping you informed at every step of the procedure. I couldn't be more complimentary. Without exception all of the patients that I know that go to DC Smiles have been very satisfied. Highly recommend!!

Riki Wilchins

Simply the best. I've seen him off and on for years for my high-end work: complex crowns, implants, and cosmetic procedures. Finally, I just switched entirely. And brought my whole family too, including our 6 year old. He's not just patient and knowledgeable, he does cutting edge work in an extremely friendly non-threatening environment that puts you at ease and makes you confident that you're getting the best care. Don't hesitate -- you won't regret it. And don't forget to ask for Disco, the "therapy dog," who will sit in your lap if you want and make your visit even better.

Dr. Singer is far and away the most thorough dentist I have ever known. Not only does he focus on the health of my teeth, but on health related issues that may have an impact on my teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Singer!

I met Dr. Singer and his Alexandria Crew a couple of months ago. I was in pretty bad shape following an accident that left my jaw broken. Upon entry of the office I knew I was in good hands. The staff is not only professional and friendly but down to earth as well. Dr. Singer was knowledgeable, empathetic, and direct with me, which I very much appreciated. I am pleased to be under his care and glad to have met him! I`d recommend him in a heartbeat!

Tim Wright

Dr Singer did an amazing job working with my teeth following a trauma related accident.

At first glance, DC Smiles may seem like the ideal dentistry. Both the DC and Alexandria locations are ascetically impressive. The receptionists and dental assistants are friendly and approachable. There is even a little dog that totes around the office. All of these aspects are great, but unfortunately they are not the reason I go to a dentist. I go to the dentist because I expect quality treatment and an earnest commitment by the doctor to improve my condition. This is where Dr. Singer failed me. I had been seeing Dr. Singer for a little under a year now. I saw Dr. Singer to treat my TMJ and after a brief initial consultation Dr. Singer decided he wanted to see me for 3 months of treatment. I paid over $3,000 for the “treatment” protocol. However, this “treatment” entailed no more than making sure I was wearing a mouth splint. I essentially paid Dr. Singer so he could tell me to wear a mouth splint.... I would love to inform you of all the unpleasant realities of his practice but there is simply not enough room on this page.... So, here are just a few that potential patients should be aware of: 1) Dr. Singer will hold onto you as a patient as long as you can dish out the $$$$. It was only a matter of time before I began to notice that Dr. Singer wanted to talk about anything BUT my teeth. Each appointment he would pick another thing that he perceived to be wrong with me. One time it would be my spine, another it would be my hips, another it would be my nose. That’s how Dr. Singer hangs onto patients, it’s how he keeps you coming back. He wants you to believe your body is in danger, creating anxiety in patients who are already desperate for answers. 2) I saw Dr. Singer for around 3 minutes each appointment. He always seemed to be rushed and annoyed whenever I wanted to discuss my treatment or status. 3) The only thing bigger than Dr. Singer’s ego are his fees. He reacted to my questions as if a 4 year old had asked him why the sky was blue. It was incredibly insulting. As soon as Dr. Singer walked in the room I felt as if I was a fly on the wall that he just wanted to get rid of. Furthermore, Dr. Singer seemed to enjoy criticizing other doctors and belittling other medical practices. He is quick to dismiss a wide spectrum of treatment options if they are not his own. It’s as if he wants you to think that his and ONLY his treatment is your salvation. I’m sure Dr. Singer can do a hell of a job filling in a routine root canal but when it comes to more complicated procedures or disorders like TMJ, this is NOT the guy you want to see. My TMJ actually got WORSE over months of supposed “treatment.” If you do decide to see Dr. Singer PLEASE get a second opinion from another carefully picked doctor. I have seen several other doctors who have much more effective and proactive treatments. It’s incredibly refreshing to actually have a doctor who will take the time to sit down with you and discuss your condition. I believe trust is the most important factor when choosing a doctor. This unfortunately is where I made a mistake with Dr. Singer.

I had a bridge done from Dr. Singer in 2000. Every dentist I been to since then (moved from northern Virginia to elsewhere), and they all were impressed with the quality of work done. 17 years and no problems and it suddenly starting hurting last week. I am far from D.C. but planning to fly to D.C. to have Dr. Singer fix it for me. He is the best dentist so far for me.

I loved the fact that when Dr Singer came in to talk to my husband and I he was very unhurried, totally relaxed, and gave us plenty of time. It is a breath of fresh air when a doctor or dentist spends time with a patient in an unhurried state. his assistants were wonderful as well. He seems very confident and professional and gives one a sense of peace that hes more than competent. Its also sweet as can be that they have a therapy dog that comforts those who loves pets. Thank you, Rose Singarella

Dr. Singer is a very compassionate emergency dental surgeon and his staff is super considerate of each patient.

I have went there 5 days ago with a huge broken bridge and it took for them 5 days to put an email together with estimated pricing and presentation”they call) Knowing that my procedure is an urgent matter I called them on the third day and Kaitlyn told me that I will be ready by the end of the day and it was a friday. I spent my weekend with denture adhesives trying to keep my bridge in place. I actually trusted them on the first day and thought Dr.Singer works professionally. But I guess they are not open to new patients. Becuase her reason was they were so busy to send it. Which every doctor gives you the price at the time of your appointment. Also they have charged for $565.00 for consulting which others give you a free consultation. So it was a waste of my money and my time. Only good thing they were nice to give my CT scan after calling 3 times.

I've had some gum grafting done by Dr. Singer. He may have a good knowledge of what needs to be done, but the execution was poor. My first grafting failed, and I had to do it again. It was very painful and I was poorly informed about the different techniques (new vs. old fashioned) and the pros. and cons. of different kind of gums. In addition, he also let his assistant finish the sewing while all other periodontists will do everything from the beginning to the end. The financial handling was also very fishy. His assistant told me that I wouldn't have to pay any single penny since my insurance would pay more. She gave me a much lower estimate than what she billed to the insurance, which is supposed to be their trick to get paid more from the insurance. But at the end, she sent me the bill with $8000 more than what she quoted to me. His cost was almost twice as expensive for much poorer results compared to the best periodontist in DC. I learned my lesson. Don't let a general dentist do any surgery! One can't be good at everything.

I truly appreciated the time Dr. Singer and his Alexandria office staff took with me as a new patient. Dr. Singer explained the future procedures in a clear and adult manner ( I left my prior dentist after being addressed as a child -though I am a middle aged woman...). Though I have just been to the office for consultation -- not yet treatment -- I look forward to returning because of the attention to detail and the inclusion of me in the consultation process. I believe that Dr Singer's dental treatment plan will be at the same high standard of care. I appreciated that he focused on the positives. I also felt like I was treated as a person not a bank book (my previous dentist was expensive and apparently recommended unnecessary treatment). I look forward to returning .... hopefully year after year.

Dr. Singer and his staff have been working with my daughter for several years now. Due to her special needs she requires a lot of time, patience and constant tweaking of her mouth guard. Dr. Singer and his staff always make us feel welcome and go above and beyond. We are so grateful to have them be part of my daughters team of doctors.

I've had an extraordinarily positive experience with Dr. Singer's approach to resolving sleep apnea. I'm sleeping 6 (yes!) 6 hours a night without waking, have a wonderful new energy level, and feel better than ever. Dr Singer's approach really deals with the problem, not just the symptoms, and it's all done without those horrible masks and noisy machines. I'm a classic sleep apnea patient: 17 1/2 neck, overweight, and have a deviated septum to further complicate my breathing. My primary care physician sent me for a standard sleep apnea test at a commercial site. I spent one night all wired up. Yes, I did have sleep apnea and the standard approach immediately offered by the commercial site was to fit me for a machine and mask. Based on others' experiences, I knew that most mask patients soon tire of the cumbersome machine, tube, and mask so I looked for another means to solve my problem. Dr. Singer's approach dealt with the fundamental physical flaws in my mouth and jaw. After a series of examinations (great images and fun physiological tests!), he fitted me with a mouth guard set that kept my lower jaw in place and my airways open. I can't explain it as well as Dr. Singer but I can say that his approach worked immediately the first night. Not only did I sleep solidly but I awoke without any sleep fatigue and a new energy level. If you're a sleep apnea sufferer and want a far more effective means than machines and masks to overcome this problem, make an appointment with Dr. Singer. His approach works, and the whole experience is first class, from initial examination to follow-ups. I'm happy and more healthy, my wife's happy, and I'm living a better life.

Dr. Singer is a superb dentist with a superb team. He's been my dentist for the last few years, and I have had nothing but positive experiences as his patient. As a professional, I appreciate his team's punctuality, organization, industry knowledge, and warmth. I appreciate Dr. Singer because he really appears to be knowledgeable about all of the latest developments in the dental field. I've been to dentists who seem to be stuck on doing things exactly as they were done years ago. Dr. Singer is aware of all recent developments in his field, and where applicable, he incorporates them into his practice. Today, a new dentist in the office, Dr. Lopez, handled my preventive checkup. She was excellent. Not only was she extraordinarily gentle and highly skilled but she also radiated warmth and good cheer. Before I met with Dr. Lopez, I met with a relatively new dental assistant named Maggie. Maggie was great. She's very personable and proficient at what she does. Anyone who has any fear of the dentist should really consider Dr. Singer and his team in Old Town Alexandria. From the moment you arrive in the office to the end of your visit, Dr. Singer and his team will take exceptional care of you.

I have been seeing Dr. Singer for the last 5 years. He did an amazing job giving me my smile back. I needed extensive dental work including veneers and a couple of implants. Before I was self conscious about my smile -- now I get compliments all the time. Dr. Singer's staff is also wonderful and I especially love Disco, the cute dog that sits on your lap while you are getting work done. He really is able to soothe your nerves!

Matt Clark

I went to Dr. Singers office, as a first time patient, for an emergency appointment to have a tooth extracted. The office was very nice and comforting compared to the clinical feel of most dental offices. The staff was very welcoming and helped me understand exactly what I was about to go through. I am someone who is usually very nervous about going to the dentist, but the environment was relaxing. Dr. Singer seemed extremely knowledgeable and conducted the procedure without any issues. After the procedure it was clearly explained what I would need to do to recover and I even received a call checking up on before my post operation appointment. I couldn't imagine a trip to the dentist being any better.

I have been going to NOVA Smiles/DC Smiles for over 5 years and they are awesome! From Disco (their pet therapy dog), to the team and Dr. Singer, I am always comforted. I am always treated with the utmost respect and tender care. If you have ever been fearful of going to the dentist they will ease that fear. And you will be happy and more confident with the way your teeth look. I highly recommend NOVA/DC Smiles!

Bluefields Debbie

Perfection! His implant skills are impeccable. The implant he put in a few days ago is totally comfortable and is impossible to tell from the original teeth that are adjacent. This has been an amazingly excellent experience. I recommend him highly!

I was in a hit and run in DC and they provided me with transportation to their place and top-class service. Kathleen is such a wonderful person as well, you really get the vibe that this is more than a business, it's a family.

I'm under treatment at DC Smiles Cosmetic Dentistry Alexandria for sleep apnea. Dr Singer and all the personnel have made me feel at home. From my first day, I was welcomed and treated as if I had been going there for years. They are all professional, but not impersonal when they treat you. They all go the extra-mile for you. They've done it for me. I've been in treatment for the last two weeks and I have already experienced great and beneficial changes in my life: I've lost weight, I'm beginning to sleep better, and I have more energy. This is great and excellent! I recommend Dr.Singer's treatment to all with any sleep apnea or any other ailment regarding the mouth. Thanks guys. I love you all.
