Today was my first time to Shaftsbury Dental. The staff was very friendly. I saw Dr. Oliver and he was very pleasant and informative. I have had many people tell me they are the best place around and I'm glad I listened.

Would like to give zero stars...but I can not post without at least one. This office is severely lacking customer service of any form. Called to establish dental care for my family after recently moving back to the area. This office could have potentially had 5 new clients. The staff member (Debra) was not friendly or knowledgeable. Very disappointing.

My experience here was, as usual, smooth, professional and seamless. This time, however, it was complicated by a fractured molar and the accompanying emergency appointment/assessment. The consideration I was afforded was sensitive to the "surprise" of the expense and appreciated. Bottom line: I'd recommend this practice to anyone.

The care here is excellent. We established care after moving here in August 2015. My son broke a tooth and they fit him into the schedule the next day. I am impressed with the dentists I have met and look forward to having my dental care needs met here.

SHAFTsbury Dental will not only nickel and dime you to death, but before you realize they'll have drained your wallet or pocketbook. While in the dentist's chair I mentioned to the doctor I required a prescription for the abscess he noticed in the X-ray's. The doctor said “I didn't give you one?”, “No.” was my reply. After receiving my “Explanation of Benefits” there was a charge of $65? After phoning the practice they stated that the billing was for telephoning the prescription into the pharmacy. For Telephoning The Prescription Into The Pharmacy. What Audacity! Complaining fell on deaf ears. Their position, the insurance company stated they could charge that. Of course, they will. They'll also tell you could charge $100! What medical practice charges for calling in a script? None, because I called several dental practices and not one of them had this kind of policy. My advice to you, if you like mediocre service at a high cost, this practice is for you. Otherwise, there are plenty of dentists throughout the area, so shop around.

I found these dentists 5 years ago when I moved to Vermont. What a find! They are professional, highly qualified and very very good at what they do. I always enjoy going into the office - the staff is friendly and go out of their way to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. I highly recommend this practice for all your dental needs.
