I have been going to Fiddlehead Dental myself since I came to Vermont in high school. Since that time, my husband and both children have also been patients. Dr Lynda and Dr Chuck are more than just great dentists...they are friends. Dental work is my least favorite thing to have done, but I wouldn't have anybody else do it for me. Not only do we know the staff by name, but they also know us by name, in and out of the office. We would never hesitate providing their name as a referral.

Our family has been going to Fiddlehead Dental for well over a decade and we are tremendous fans. From Dr. Chuck and Dr. Linda to every member of their staff, these are finest professionals in the field. While their dental skills are top-flight; it is their caring and humanity that truly stand out. Each member of the staff goes out of his or her way to make patients feel comfortable, relaxed and welcome. They treat folks from ages nine to ninety with compassion, understanding and sympathy. I used to be very apprehensive when going for dental procedures and now, while I won't go so far as to say that I always look forward to treatment, I certainly have no anxiety when I need work done. Chuck and Linda are absolutely outstanding, both as professionals and as people. Get to know them if you can. You will not be disappointed. Our entire family are very, very happy clients. Dr. Lynda, Dr. Chuck and their staff are amazing. Best family dentistry in VERMONT! The doctors, hygienist, and technicians are highly skilled, professional, GENTLE :) and friendly! Dr. Lynda even saw my daughter for a dental emergency when the office was closed. The office is also very helpful when dealing with insurance companies, workman's comp claims and anything billing related. My family and I wont go anywhere else!

Unfortunately, I do not have a positive review to share. However, I did feel that it was important for the public to be aware of. I shared this experience with other parents already, and they were just as appalled as I was. Fiddlehead claims to be a family owned, family oriented business... I disagree. A year ago my family had an emergency on the same day that we scheduled two of our children for dentist appointments. When I called to cancel our appointments, Kathy the office manager was very irritated with the cancellation. She told me there would be a $40 charge per appointment cancelled. I asked her to have mercy due to the fact that we just had a tragedy still-birth that day. She reluctantly waved the fees. And year later today, two more of my children had a dentist appointment again, and we had another family emergency. My daughter was missing. The worst feeling in the world. My family was in a panic, and so my sister called Fiddlehead. She spoke to Kathy. She told Kathy we had a family emergency and that my sister was watching my other children, and to please cancel the appointments. My sister said Kathy was nasty to her, and that i may want to call. So i picked up the phone quickly and explained that one of my children were missing. Kathy indeed was very unkind, and reminded me that she already cancelled for me once before. I reminded Kathy that in two years I canceled once. When my child died in my womb. She told me I would still be charged the $40 cancellation fee for both children if I cancelled today. To think that i was actually suppose to take my children to the dentist while i had one child missing??? I was completely disgusted. I asked to speak to a manager. She said she was the manager. So i told her to take the $80 if Fiddlehead needed the money that badly, and that she will never see my family again. Needless to say, we found my daughter thank God, but I could never trust Fiddlehead Dentistry if they would support their management in treating people in such a way. I hope everyone has a better experience than we did, but I would suggest not putting your family or your money, in the hands of this company.

I am very pleased with the quality of my treatment because of highly skilled doctors and dental assistants, new technology and materials. I was given the detailed review of my teeth status with digital technology and thorough explanation of all my options and priorities. I also tried Whitening of my teeth recommended by Dr. Lynda. I'm one who has never felt comfortable in any dentist setting until I met Dr. Lynda, Dr. Chuck, and the team during my teenage years. I had left the state for a couple years, and during then, I really didn't have any work done on my teeth. I return home to Vermont and find myself walking in and sitting down with Dr. Lynda, like a kid coming home to their mother after a long time apart. I say that because it is like a family atmosphere, where everyone is comfortable to talk at a family level, and you do not find this type of atmosphere anywhere that I've ever been. Dr. Lynda provided a plan, explained each step like a GPS, and it was up to me how fast I want to drive. I'm so proud that I have accomplished so much and nearing my destination where I can show off the 1st place ribbon, to my family, including all at Fiddlehead "Family" Dentistry as they all contributed to our success glowing in me. I am now missing three teeth that were not in pain when I walked into thier office. During preparation for the three crowns I had allowed them to perform they had hit the pulp on each and had not told me. Trauma and pain was from an unknown source until while I had temporary's on two she threw the towel in and sent me elsewhere where they took an image of the exposed pulp when they removed the temporary. The initial tooth that she placed a crown on has now after a year broken completely off. The trauma to the nerve from the exposed pulp caused need for a root canal through that crown, causing it to break. I paid for all three less than 3 yrs ago and no longer have any of them in my mouth and am going through the process of restoration of these. I walked into her office with these three teeth in tact and no pain, and at the end of the day the loss of 3 teeth, pain, and $15,000 less than when I walked in, with the anticipated additional costs of at least $12,000 for the implants that will be needed (one of which is requiring a nasal lift surgery). I grew up going to a family-run dentist office. It was comfortable and reassuring knowing you weren't just a number. Since I moved to St. Albans, about ten and a half years ago, I was unsure I'd find a dentist with that same more-than-a-number feel. In Fiddlehead, I have found just that. Your hygienist becomes more like a friend (mine happens to be a very close friend), and when Dr. Chuck or Dr. Lynda come check in, they know/remember about you and your life. It is very rare for everyone in the office including the dentist to want to know all the details of your life. It is even more rare for them all to remember and pick up where you left off 6 months later like you were there yesterday. For some people going to the dentist is a something to avoid doing, for us it is like going to visit family. Everyone is so upbeat, pleasant and happy, we have never had a bad experience in the few years we have been going. Dr. Chuck and Dr. Linda have been both upfront and honest with there recommendations without making you feel pressured. You leave the office with warm fuzzies about having your teeth cleaned.

I love going to Fiddlehead Dental and I love everyone who works there. They all are amazing, flexible and nice people. I recently have had put in invisalign and I love the turn out so far and it has been such an easy process. It's not painful, it's not as expensive as braces, it's less time, and no one notices you are wearing them which is pretty cool. So many people have asked me about invisalign and I say if it's a choice I'd go with invisalign. It's awesome to have and it's super easy to take care of. If I had to pick between braces or invisalign, I'd pick invisalign just like that.

Allow me to start by saying that I'm a subcontractor for Fiddlehead Dental in St. Albans, VT, however I am also a new patient. I hadn't been to the dentists in 10 years, since my parents' insurance ran out when I got done college, so I was super nervous - and not in the normal, fear-of-the-dentists sense, but afraid of what had gone wrong in those 10 years. As you'll see through various reviews and testimonials, hear from word-of-mouth, etc., I guess I had no need to be nervous. The hygienists and doctors were all very professional, incredibly gentle (there was less pain than I remember 10 years ago, thanks to their MUCH reduced use of those picking tools in exchange for some kind of supersonic water pick or something), and I felt like they were very thorough. The atmosphere is what really sells this place though, as it's very, very friendly and homey. There are dozens of comfortable chairs and up-to-date magazines (as opposed to the same 1996 copy of Highlights or Reader's Digest most places leave laying about), and a super friendly greeting staff makes you feel right at home.
