I have been seeing the folks in the Burlington office for many years now. I am always impressed with everyone I meet. They are all friendly, professional, and make me feel welcome and comfortable. The hygienists are all wonderful and gentle, and Dr. Penney is thorough and also gentle!

They are not remotely transparent about how much they will charge you. I was told my x-rays would be “100% covered,” and they were extremely insistent that insurance would pay and not to worry. They ended up charging $370 more than my insurance’s in-network rate, and I was on the hook for all of it. When I called the dentist’s billing office, I was asked “can’t you just have your parents pay for it?” I found that very classist/offensive/unhelpful. Don’t go here unless you don’t care about being misled on how much something will cost.

I don't think I ever imagined saying the phrase "I love my dentist office!" so sincerely. I've been a patient at the Burlington office since I got a job that offered dental way back in 2011 and I was so scared to go in and now I genuinely look forward to my appointments. Instead of getting a lecture or disappointing looks about my teeth and gum health at my first visit, I was met with reassurance and a thorough but painless examination and an effective but way more gentle cleaning than I had ever encountered growing up. My oral health has definitely improved since my first few visits there and I attribute much of that to Dr. Penney, the hygienists and the other office staff. Their friendliness and efficiency made me less scared of seeking out care when I needed it and gave me the confidence to work on the habits that improve oral hygiene.

I went to their Burlington office a few weeks ago and was very impressed! They took me ON TIME (woohoo!) and were very thorough and professional. The front desk staff, dental assistant, hygienist and doctor were so nice and always allowed time for questions or concerns. At the end of the cleaning the doctor came in and did a thorough exam including a head and neck exam which I had never had done at another dental office and was pleasantly surprised by! Overall, a great experience. I’m glad I switched to Dunkling & Penney

Dr. Dunkling saw me as a walk in patient because I broke one of my implant crowns in the front on vacation. He was able to make me a new crown right then so I didn't have to look like a goof. He was very kind and his assistant was lovely. I am a dentist and I will say that Dr. Dunkling really knows what he is doing. He is very knowledgable and meticulous in his work. 110% recommended.
