I developed a very infected, painfully impacted wisdom tooth the week before Memorial Day. I’m from Elko, NV and the dentists here wouldn’t be available even for a consultation until the following week after the holiday. We started google searching for emergency care out of town on Sunday afternoon- memorial weekend. Dr. Stephens was the only one online who seemed liked the faintest hope of help in my situation. I’m completely terrified of dentists thanks to a previous experience years ago that thoroughly traumatized me, so you can imagine I was pretty desperate to be reaching out on google without personal recommendations. Dr. Stephens answered his phone right away and said if we could make the 4-ish hour drive in, he would come to the office that night and see me as soon as we got into town. We loaded the kids up right away and arrived at Dr. Stephens office at 8pm. He was quick to respond via text when I had questions along the way. I was put at ease seeing his office in such a nice part of town and was greeted by his very nice assistant as she was unlocking the building. I was shaking and on the verge of crying I was so nervous, but Dr. Stephens was very kind, professional, empathetic, and his confidence/decisiveness very much put me at ease. He told me he was very good at numbing and he wasn’t kidding! I was blown away by how fast and painless the procedure was. From the time I walked in the door, filled out paperwork, took care of billing, was numbed and had the tooth pulled I think it was around 30 minutes. I might also add that we are a single income family with no insurance. Dr. Stephens pricing was very reasonable especially considering his skill level and the fact that he interrupted his holiday weekend to help a stranger. Even with the gas from Elko, our meals, hotel and prescriptions, the total expense was less than I had been quoted by local oral surgeons in Elko- not to mention my husband didn’t have to take special time off of work to stay home with the kids. I am beyond thankful to Dr. Stephens for his willingness to help me and for making his skill so affordable to those in desperate need at inconvenient times. I was in real bad pain and didn't care to bear it much longer so i called somewhat late in the afternoon on Thanksgiving weekend, the dentist got me in within a few hours (10:30 at night) he was actually picking up his wife from the airport and met me at the dental office. i came in, signed the papers, he numbed me up, pulled the tooth and i was out in 20 minutes. I have never ever had a positive experience with a dentist until now, not only was it fast but it was PAINLESS. I've been to dentists that will give me 10 shots and i'll still be hurting, this dentist gave two shots and i was immediately ready to be worked on. the dentist and his staff were very kind, i have zero complaints and will be coming back here for all my future needs. i would recommend this dentist to anyone.

If I could give a zero I would. My wife had a fail root canal and it got majorly infected she couldn't sleep, couldn't eat or swallow when she drank any thing. We got to the dentist and he was completely rude to her. He didn't numb her enough for a tooth pull. As he pulled the tooth it broke and she nearly chocked on the broken tooth. And then he grabs some dental toll and jammed it into her gum making blood squirt out of her mouth. She started screaming and he had the balls to tell her to stop screaming. He then stopped and asked if she wanted to stop or keep going. Don't waste your money. He needs more practice on customer caring and service.

My wife Sharon broke a front tooth on our flight from NH to Utah on Tuesday 10/2. When I got up on Wednesday morning at 6:00 am , I googled 24 hour emergency dentist. Dr Stevens messaged my wife in about 15 minutes and asked what her problem was. An appointment, which was convenient for us and we went to see him and within a half hour a new filling was put back in and we went on our way enjoying the rest of our vacation which also included a family wedding. Dr Stevens and his staff were excellent in helping my wife Sharon and we were able to have her smile back. I would highly recommend Dr. Stevens office for all your dental needs. Best. Dentist. Ever. Competitive pricing, even lower than most dentists are during normal business hours. I needed an after hours extraction. I scheduled within an hour due to my own travel time. Once I got there, I was out of pain in under 10 mins and I was walking to my car 20 mins later. Quick, painless and effective. He charges the full cost upfront but that's understandable considering how unreliable people can be. For emergency dental services, this is the way to go. Seriously, my appointment was at 8:30 and the tooth was out by 8:47. No BS, no lengthy explanations. Just upfront, honest, and cost effective service.

Dr. Stephen is amazing! I was in pain! Fever! Headache! Couldn't sleep at all!! After 10 mins of being there got my wisdom teeth removed and all those symptoms went away after a couple of mins!!! I was in horrible pain and being pregnant there isn't much I can take. We called after midnight we didn't get an answer right away but he did call back fast. Dr.Stephens was very understanding and offered to get me in that night or in the next morning. I went in the next morning and the staff was amazing! They were so friendly and helpful. They got me back as soon as I was done filling out the paperwork. As soon as Dr. Stephens gave me the injection for the numbing I had instant relief. He also did an ex ray to make sure it was the right tooth before pulling it out. The process was as painless as possible and very fast. My husband and kids were with me and the staff gave them some coloring books and crayons. When we were done they made sure I was felling ok. And made sure to tell me how to care for it. And told me many times to make sure and call if I had anymore pain or questions.

This man is a straight up miracle worker. I don’t know if any of you understand how difficult it is to get a regular dentist appointment, it usually is anything but fast and convient and never EVER on the weekends and definitely never after 5p.m, I called last night around 7 and set up an appointment for today at 10 a.m. around 8 p.m I couldn’t take the pain anymore and called to see if he could fit me in and sure enough he said come on up and I was in and out of his office within 30 minutes and I was no longer in pain from my severely infected tooth. So thankful!!! My 2 daughters were playing and they collided knocking a couple teeth in on my 10 yr old. Googled emergency dental Utah and Dr Stephens came up. Got her in right away at 830 pm. Very friendly and got my daughters teeth back in place. She was so scared to be there and he made sure she knew she would be ok. I couldnt sleep for two nights in a row, i called saturday morning at 7 and got a call back within 30 minutes, and went right in to see him. He did a wonderful job, extracted a dead, infected mouler in about 30 minutes and whats more he made it completely painless! He was nice and had me numbed before i had even finished the paperwork. Best dentist i have ever been to. Hes the only dentist i would recomend.

I was on vacation in the area and cracked a molar. Dr. Stephens saw me within an hour of my call to him. The tooth cracked on the inner side and had sharp edges that were cutting my tongue. Dr. Stephens smoothed the sharp edges down and the result was wonderful! His beside manner was fantastic as well, very congenial and likeable.

I'm so grateful for Dr Stephens! Didn't answer my call at first, but called me back 1 hour later. (He'd had a busy day of emergencies). He told me he could meet me at the office in 30 minutes and texted me directions. He texted asking for basic info so my paperwork could even already be started when I arrived. He was concise and to the point, but patient when I had questions. His staff was super friendly and very kind to my 8 year old son that I had to bring with me. My severe toothache very inconveniently decided to flare up BIG TIME on not only a Sunday, but it was New Years Eve. He took me anyway and made it quick and literally painless. I've NEVER had a shot before that didn't hurt like crazy. Dr Stephen gave the shot in such a way that I could barely feel it. Literally not one moment of pain from the moment I stepped into his office until I left. I ended up needing a root canal. It was my first root canal and I have BAD anxiety when it comes to the dentist. He put me at ease and it was FAST too! I am switching to Dr Stephens for all of my regular dental care as well now because I was so impressed with my experience. I never take the time to write reviews (I probably should), but I can't help myself on this one...I am super grateful to him and his lovely staff. I'd say the cost was in alignment with the time frame and the services I received. I will be recommending Dr Stephens all around! Great service!

I had the worst toothache ever!! My wife knows i can tolerate pain but this toothache was from hell!! It was 1030 pm and he was the first to actually answer out of the 4 places i called. He told me to come in immediately so i did. He even sent me directions to his office. So when we got there he wasted no time and just wanted to get rid of the pain. While my wife was filling out paper work he numbed my tooth, took ex rays, set up, and pulled my tooth out before my wife can even finish her paper work. Because he was so fast and responded immediately we will be switching over to him for our family dentist. Very professional and clean facility. Id recommend him to anybody.

I've been in the customer service business for over 10 years and this place has AMAZING customer service. My boyfriends filling fell out and he was in unbearable pain. It was 8:40 pm and the Doctor answered right away. I had my boyfriend in there by 9:00 pm and the Doctor made it top priority to make him comfortable asap!! He made sure he was completely numb before any pulling. The tooth was extracted in less than 15 minutes. My boyfriend didn't even feel the tooth being pulled. I couldn't have asked for a better Doctor to handle this issue! Very pleasant to deal with. Sent me the directions through text and sent me all the post op information immediately. I went about 2 weeks ago on a Saturday Night. I had a really bad cavity and it was extremely painful. Called and dentist Brett answer at 1 in the morning. Came in with toothache. Gave me two options, pull tooth or get an expensive root canal. I elected to have my tooth pulled. He ended up breaking my tooth and leaving 3 roots buried in my gumbs. Surgery is required to remove the remaining roots, he said he would surgically remove them for $200. There was no way I was gonna let him in my mouth again. To top it off, when I went to an oral surgeon, the surgeons office said that the 24 hr dentist was not giving up the x rays so I eventually have to pay for an additional x ray at the surgeon place. Was a really unpleasant experience. I came out of Dr Stephens office feeling violated and used. Poor experience for me.

Doctor Stephens was awesome. I had an infected root and I could not bare the pain. I called and after the first ring I was welcomed with a comforting voice asking how he could help. I went to his office and he gave me options instead of just telling me what he wanted to do so he could Get rid of me. He extracted my tooth within 10 minutes and gave me two prescriptions to help. Not only did he relieve my pain but he went above and beyond to tell me where I could find a 24 hour pharmacy and Sent me my post op instructions. This was on a Saturday at 7:30 pm with no other staff members but the doctor himself. The only rush he was in was to relive my pain as fast as possible. Thank you Doctor, thank you very much.

We are full time RV’ers staying in Salt Lake City a few days. Had been feeling discomfort in a bottom molar for several weeks in Texas and set an appointment a few days after Memorial Day in Reno, Nevada. Couldn’t make it! The Saturday before Memorial Day, May 25th, I was in extreme pain! I looked for dentists listed on my insurance plan in the area and ALL were closed... Searched for an emergency dentist 24 hour SLC and Dr Stephens’ website popped up. Called and talked with Dr Stephens within 30 minutes of the initial phone message sent to him. Saw Dr Stephens a few hours later and X-rays revealed a crack and infection in the tooth where had a previous filling. He performed a Pulpal Debridement to relieve pain. I will now see the dentist in Reno NV for a root canal. Today is day 2, Memorial Day, no pain in tooth, taking regular Tylenol and antibiotic. THANK YOU Dr Stephens for being there! Thoroughly impressed. While in extreme agony from a severely broken tooth, on a Sunday, not to mention it was also mother's day, Dr Stephen's not only answered his phone, but met me in 20 mins at his office. With 25 mins my tooth was numbed and I was no longer in the worst pain I've felt in my entire life. Unfortunately my tooth needed extraction due to the level of breakage, but it was quite painless and I was surprised when it was over. Thank you for fast, professional service, I don't think I could have lasted until Monday morning with that level of pain without an ER visit. Although it wasn't the cheapest dental visit I've had, it was fair considering the circumstances, and a whole lot cheaper than an ER visit just for pain meds to spend more to see my normal dentist on Monday.

I called Dr Stephens on a Saturday because I was having pain in a tooth that I had scheduled for a root canal the following week. He said he could relieve the pain by working on it, but not actually perform a complete root canal for $395 and that I would have to pay out of pocket and submit back through my insurance. Then I would still have to follow up with my endodontist and have it completed. I told him I wanted to check with my insurance company to understand the process and their end and he got really pushy with me. He told me I didn't need to check with them and that he'd been doing this for 20 years, after I refused to commit a second time he again pushed me to make an appointment so I just told him I didn't want to do business with someone so pushy. That coupled with the fact that he wants to charge $395 to me out of pocket to not even fully fix the problem is service. He is one of the only 24 hour dentist options in town so I'm sure he is just praying on people that are desperate for options and are in a lot of pain. I found a place called 24/7 dentist salt lake City and they were Way easier to deal with. They weren't smug and aarogant and they agreed with me that his offer seemed really weird. The got me in the next morning and the cost was only about $100 more with my insurance than Dr. Stephens wanted me to pay out of pocket. I would never use the dentist.

I highly recommend Dr Stephens. I cracked a molar and woke up to a very swollen face and I was in major pain. It was on a Sunday when most dentist offices are not open. I called 24 Hour Dentist and Dr Stephens answered the phone. I told him my issue and without hesitation he agreed to meet me at his office in one hour. I ended up getting a tooth extracted. My wife and I were visiting SLC over the New Year’s holiday week. The last night we were there, my wife was up all night with a terrible toothache, and we were flying out the next day in the afternoon. Called around 7:15 in the morning. Dr. Stephens answered right away and got us into the office by 8:20, even though we are not past patients of his. He was incredibly nice and understanding when we arrived and thoroughly examined my wife’s aching tooth. It was clear she needed a root canal, which he did right away. Very professional and made my wife feel at ease, as she is pregnant and was concerned about how the numming medication would affect the baby. After the procedure, he explained next steps, gave us prescriptions for the appropriate medicine, and proceeded the payment. Only then did we find out it was his birthday and that he was postponing any celebrating until he took care of my wife. Incredible dentist and would recommend wholeheartedly.

I was in excruciating pain from a broken decaying molar. I could barely talk and I had been crying it hurt so bad which I normally have very high pain tolerance. I compared my pain to giving birth and that I didn't know which one was worse. My husband called Dr. Stephens at 5:30pm on Sunday and he answered right away. He told us to come on in at 7pm considering we lived 30 mins away from where his office is. Dr Stephens is friendly, he explains the whole process if you need or have questions. There's lots of options and he listens to your concerns. He made sure I was very numb before any work was done. I didn't feel a thing and he showed me my tooth after. The next day the office followed up with me to see if I was okay After my visit. I highly recommend going here and for those of you who had a bad experience here there is always 2 sides to every story. I have been to many different dentists and this one is good at what he does and he's fast and has great customer service.

Dr Stevens is by far the absolute best dentist i have ever been too. i let him know that i am very resistant to the numbing and so he took extra care to make sure i was properly numb which is something i have never had any dentist do before. and he got me in and out same day within less than an hour and did a fantastic job. i would highly recommend going to him over any other dentist i have ever been too. he has earned a customer for life.

My tooth had been giving me a fit all weekend and I could not wait for Monday to get it taken care of. Dr. Stephens did a great job of talking me through the process, the price it was gonna cost, and what I needed to do to take care of it. I was in and out of there in twenty minutes at 11 at night on Mother's Day. He did a great job!

Dr. Stevens, is absolutely amazing I had called about six in the morning about a toothache that was killing me due to my wisdom teeth pushing on a dead route canal, Dr. Stevens answer the phone and told me that he would be on his way very shortly, in that split moment Dr. Stevens show me compassion and caring for me more than anyone has ever done, I’ve had a few dentist but no Matches up to Dr. Stevens, he was very quick with the procedure and was precise at the same time also was looking after my will being making sure I was able to stand up and walk, I highly highly recommend Dr. Stevens to anyone in Utah! This dude is a bad ass!

Tried calling for “Emergency Service” at approx 1AM and 3AM. Never got a call back. Just got a text at 7AM saying I could come in at 8:30AM. What a joke!! I will go to my regular dentist now. Don’t advertise 24 hour service if you don’t really offer it.

Dr. Stephens is AMAZING!! We called around 9:45pm and were able to get in right away to get a tooth pulled. He was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful from setting up payment options to answering any and every question we had. The procedure from start to finish took maybe 10 minutes and we were on our way pain-free. I would recommend Dr. Stephens to any family member or friend, we were so lucky to come across his number during our dental emergency. Aside from the wonderful customer service, the building/office was very nice as well!

He is an amazing dentist, I was having lot a pain with my molar. On a Saturday morning he call me back and in less than a couple hours he extracted it and my pain went away. Super clean place and very friendly doctor. Quality of service is wonderful!
