My family and I have been patients of The Dentists for about 14 years. We love them! The work with us 'fraiddy cats and the brave ones too. Everyone is very nice and very professional.

All of the personnel and Drs at "The Dentists" are pleasant and very helpful. They explain each step, and why it is necessary. I am a person that dreads a visit to the dentist, but, "The Dentists" put me at ease. With my visit on 04 June, 2019, nothing has changed, still courteous, still explain steps, put me at ease, and met a new Dr., and she was like she had been there for years. These reasons are why I will continue to go to "The Dentists".

I have been going to The Dentists for about 10 years and wouldn't think of going to any other dentist. They run a very friendly office and all the gals and Dr's. are not only friendly but have the latest up to date equipment and makes the dental work a lot less painful than a lot of the old equipment did. Everyone who works there treats everyone with respect and kindness. You can't go wrong by going to this group of dentists and the office folks, they are like one big family. As bad as I hate going to the dentist I don't mind going here and I have to go every 4 months for gum problems. Give them a try you won't regret it!!! This a just a short update to my review. I have recently lost 2 of my teeth and Dr. Lewis took care of it for me. I haven't met a sweeter, nicer and more concerned dentist since I left Las Vegas which was way back in 2004. She has a wonderful bedside?? manner and worries about making sure your numb before she starts. You will feel very comfortable with Dr. Lewis and trust her very fast. I still hate going to the dentist but when you have a Dr. you trust it's not as bad as before. Try them, the whole office staff will do everything possible to work with you and take wonderful care of you!!!

Five plus stars for "The Dentists"! Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and very knowledgable. Dr. Smith, is is incredible! My biggest concern is always the "needle" for fillings. It was a piece of cake. I have never had that experience at a dental office. I highly recommend getting x-rays when due. I opted to skip the x-rays. Luckily for me, Ashley found a serious tooth issue while cleaning.my teeth. Special thanks to Ashley and her expertise. I know I won't be skipping x-rays in the future.

Worst Service Ever. I got ripped off here. I had some tooth pain. I went in for a filling. They told me I needed to get a section filled. They did worked on my tooth. I paid for the first round of work they did, then the tooth did the procedure they did, I was still in pain, so they recommended a crown + a root canal which was almost $4,000 They didn't take the impression right, so the crown came messed up from the factory. Rather than re-doing the impression as I requested, they just kept having me come in for repeated visits to saw down the tooth. They continued to get frustrated with having to schedule additional visits to fix their work. They started charging me additionally to fix their work they didn't get correct in the first place. My bite got worse and other teeth started to shift as a result. When I brought all of this to their attention, they treated me poorly. They just attempted to offer me sympathy. Additionally, I had been in pain for over a month after the root canal. I went into see them and told them to check out the area. I could feel a large object in my gums. They looked and that area and sent me home and told me it was nothing. 3 weeks later, I was still in pain, I was at work and in the middle of the day I spit out a part of my tooth! They left it in there! It was a large piece left over from the surgery. I spoke to the doctors and they took no responsibility for their work. They just gave me more sympathy and continued to grow impatient with me as a patient. They wouldn't refund any of my money. I've had other doctors see the tooth since then and the work done was sub-par by other professional opinions. I would never recommend The Dentists to any of my friends. This is not how you run a business.

I used to go out of my way to avoid having dental work done. Then we moved to Bastrop and I found The Dentists. I have been going to The Dentists for over ten years now and I very much appreciate their expertise and friendliness of the staff and that they keep me as comfortable as possible whenever they work on me. I have had fillings, crowns and root canals and they explain each step along the way so there are no surprises. I am confident that they can easily provide whatever dental work I need.

Personal service, friendly staff. they get you in and out quickly and work well with insurance to give you an idea of price before procedures. I've been coming here for about 18 years and have seen it grown but without ir losing that personal touch.

After many years of service and about 15k in money spent they now require up front payment because they don't trust united health care. They said I can get my money back from them. I guess I need to call united heath care so they quite sending there customers to them.

I cannot say enough about how great I have been treated and taken care of at The Dentists. I've spent too many hours in the chairs, seen too many assistants and had too many doctors hands in my mouth on two separate visits. BUT....I have NOT one complaint about how I have been cared for. Everyone has been compassionate, caring, gentle, concerned...you name it, they've covered it all. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because I am still in pain and they can't seem to figure out why. In one day, I had an exam that led to a root canal that led to another exam because the pain was still there that led to another procedure putting fillings at my gum line and still...the pain persists. It may be that I'm a bad patient and can't tell them what they need to know to figure out the cause of the pain? It may be that I'm just a mystery? It may be that they aren't doing the right kind of examinations? I don't know but because they have been so incredibly kind and caring, I will continue to visit The Dentists when needed.

The staff was friendly from the beginning to the end of the visit. I felt comfortable with the RDA and the doctor. They were both very thorough and willing to talk with me. I actually stayed for 2.5 hours and didn't even have any work done! We set up a plan that would help me financially and would be the most convenient overall. They are really concerned for your wellbeing. What really put the visit over the top was the willingness of the RDA to answer every question I had and even show me visuals to help me understand and make me feel comfortable, as well as the doctor taking his time and being very thorough and friendly. Very professional, very knowledgeable, overall- best dentist visit! I couldn't stop talking about it all day.

I've been going to The Dentists since retiring here in 2011. The waiting room is very nice, but I have never had to wait longer than 5 to 10 minutes for any of my appointments. Everyone on the staff is very pleasant and professional. I highly trust all the hygienists, and my care has been virtually pain free. Dr. Emmert corrected the uneven look of my top front teeth in 15 minutes, after I had been living with the problem for years. I won't go anywhere else. Just a great group of professionals.

Going to the dentist is something I try to avoid all my life. It's not a pleasurable experience at all. But when I started coming to see the staff at the Dentist all that changed. From the time you walk in and register to the time to check out your made to feel at home and comfortable. All the procedures are explained and the Dental assistants and Dentists there are so patient and kind and don't believe in in causing you discomfort or fear at all! They take the time to listen and really get to know you and that is something you don't find these days. I would highly recommend them ! They are all a great bunch!

When we first moved to Bastrop, our real estate agent recommended The Dentists. I've been going there since we arrived in 2011 and have been very satisfied, particularly with the staff -- who actually take vacations together -- and with Dr. Smith (the dentist I have seen exclusively). Their equipment is the latest, the most modern, complete with computers in the examining rooms where my records can be reviewed and updated on the spot. Keri, the hygienist who regularly sees me, is kind and friendly and seems to really care about me and my dental progress. I highly recommend them in all respects.

If you go to The Dentists just once, I can't imagine that you’d go elsewhere. I couldn’t find a good dentist and someone recommended The Dentists. When I first went into their office, the very large and nicely furnished waiting room told me that they have lots of patients, and they can’t have lots of patients if they’re not very good. I went to the front desk and was greeted professionally and with a smile. I had the impression that the three or four women in that office enjoyed their work, and each other. It seemed like a good work environment. I was soon ushered into the inner workings of the office where the needles and drills usually justify our anxiety. The work was completed and I realized that I had never experienced that level of dental care. My dentist is Dr. Jacklyn Smith (sorry Dr. Smith if I spelled your first name incorrectly). She owns the place and is absolutely excellent. She cares. (The other two dentists in the office must be very good, or I don’t think they would be working for Dr. Smith.) My hygienist is also excellent. I always receive the best cleaning (something I didn’t get at trhe wo previous dentists). When she finished, Dr. Smith came in and looked in my mouth from side to side and top to bottom, while she was giving my hygienist info on each tooth to enter into their computer system. Each visit they monitor each tooth, and provide preventive maintenance, if necessary. They once were concerned about something, and Dr. Smith wrapped what looked like a small string, with antibiotic, around a tooth at the gum. I couldn’t feel it, forgot it was there, and it eventually dissolved. Have you received that level of care at any other dentist? I spent a lot of GOOD money on BAD dentistry. You don’t have to.

The entire staff is just great. I've never been a fan of going to the dentist since I was a kid. Dr Smith is gentle and does a great job. Explains everything shes doing and always makes sure I'm not feeling any discomfort or any anxiety. Melanie does all my cleanings and she's terrific. Same day service, and with such kindness and skill! After a teeth cleaning, the dentist noticed that one of my molars was cracked. He and his assistant installed a temporary crown immediately, and arranged for my permanent crown to be a seated the very next day. The temporary crown already feels like a real tooth. No pain.
