After 4 years in Houston I've finally found my dentist. I'm basically the worst patient ever - showed up with a trickster tooth that has a history of problematic behavior. Addressing that stinker is still a work in progress, but the point of this review is to share how impressed I've been with the docs & staff. Dr McRay does a great job of making his thinking visible, and developing a treatment plan through dialogue. His bedside manner is also exceptional, as he is happy to describe what he's doing, looking for, and thinking throughout the work - and is quite receptive to my feedback as a patient. The staff have all been friendly and professional, the facility is clean and modern, the technology and tools are up to date - all of these things result in a comfortable experience. I know this is a ringing endorsement, and it is warranted. Knowing that I've been a difficult patient, and having received stellar care is a strong motivation to share my thoughts. I do tend to only give reviews when things are particularly great or horrible - well this definitely the former. Keep up the good work folks!

This is the best dental office I've ever been to. I have terrible anxiety anytime I have to get any work that involves novacain. My original dentist decided to close her practice so I made an oppointment for a routine checkup/cleaning. From the moment I walked in Britney greeted me with the utmost enthusiasm. She welcomed me and showed me ever courtesy imaginable while I filled out my new patient documents. At first glance I thought I was in a designer home. I could tell no expense was spared in the design of this office. It definitely gave me the feel of an upscale modern office with design unlike any office I have stepped foot in. It wasn't long before I met Ashley who conducted my initial exam. She had me at ease from the moment i laid down in the chair which was also the most comfortable dentist chair I've ever been in. She knew I was interested on how the Astros were doing so she turned the game on the big screen in front of me. Wow! Then came Dr Robbins. She took the time to get to know me and showed such genuine patient care that I knew I was in good hands. She walked me through each aspect of my cleaning and any concerns I needed to pay close attention to. After we were all done she took what little time she had left to teach me to floss properly, and even gave me a going away dental kit filled with everything I need to maintain good dental hygiene. I know this review is long, however I just had to express my complete and utter appreciation for Dr. Robbins and her amazing team. This is my new spot, and will be recommending to everyone. Thanks for everything! See you in 6 months!

Great experience specially for my daughters. In the past, a visit to the dentist was a nightmare for them and for me but, at Dr. Robbins the staff is super friendly and they really know how to treat kids! Dr Robbins is super nice and profesional, she takes her time to explain what’s going on with your teeth. Curious fact, a year ago, another dentist said, I had to do some work in one of my tooth, it was necessary! Well, according to dr Robbins there is nothing wrong with it and I never mentioned that previous suggestion, which made think the other dentist was just trying to get some money from me! The office is impecable and they equipment top of the line, once you sit in your chair everything is done there, no need to go to another room for x-rays! I’m so happy I found this practice.

Dr. Robbins performed my first fillings ever. I was super nervous about it because I had never had a bad experience prior despite extensive invasive orthodontial work. I didn’t want to join the horror story club. I had been putting off any dentist knowing I was going to need fillings. Dr. R was absolutely amazing! It was so comfortable and shockingly pain free. She was very comforting and had just the right balance of informing you what is going on while avoiding stuff that could unnecessarily scare you. Her expertise was very obvious in the relaxed but controlled way she moved through the procedures. I would volunteer to get five more fillings before I would to fold laundry or do dishes. It was that awesome plus you don’t get cuddly fuzzy blankets to do dishes.

It’s was an awesome experience! I haven’t been to a dentist for a long long time.. So I was a bit scared. Samantha was very professional from the minute I walked in. It felt like being at home signing in. My appointment was sharp at 9:30am with no wait. Ashley the assistant was really nice and kept me relaxed the entire time. They pulled my wisdom tooth out that was already cracked. The dentist that pulled my tooth was like a walk thru the park. I put sunglasses on until Ashley said your tooth is out. I had found this place using Google and looking at reviews and ratings. The booking was made by phone. It was a little hard for me to make the booking since they don't accept foreign numbers and I was calling from France to schedule an appointment for when I would be in Houston. With the help of a friend who was local, we were able to book for me and my husband. The office was a little tricky to find if it is your first time. It is located within an office building so look our for that if its your first visit. When we arrived, the place as very clean, new and tidy. The staff was very kind and easy to talk to. Thankfully we got in at our appointed time. The dentist, assistant and hygienist were great. They did an efficient job in a good amount of time. I would definitely recommend this dentist office to others as they were kind, clean, efficient, and I got to watch Netflix as I was getting my teeth cleaned!!

It doesn't make sense to go to a dentist office if you're not visiting The Dentists at Houston Westchase. Hands down the VERY BEST dentist office that I've ever been to in my life. The staff was extremely courteous, polite, and highly professional. The ambience to the environment was very welcoming and upscale--coffee & beverage area included. Dr. Robbins and Savannah took their time with me and provided me with in-depth customer service, discussed dental options for me at an affordable rate, and most importantly, allowed me to leave with a brand new smile! He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I never have to wait when I go in which is very important to me. His office is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Very nice and comfortable office; even the patient's chair is more comfortable than any other I've ever been on. A nice touch is the TV with Netflix streaming your favorite show as you're getting worked on. After you're all done, you don't even feel like you've been to the dentist; it's more like you've been hanging out with friends. Highly recommended.

First of all a little bit about me and my teeth. I broke my front teeth when I was 10, then I broke the same ones again after 5 years. I can easily say I spent half off my life on dentist chairs. I got my first implant when I was 19. That's 20 years ago when implants were considered NASA technology. When I needed a new implant my wife gave me a flyer to dentists at Westchase. From day 1, Dr. McRay has been honest with me, explaining pros and cons of everything. My case was very complicated we needed parts from other parts of the world due to the original in my mouth being 20 years old and discontinued. My new implant and teeth feel great. Dr. McRay has been wonderful. His wife was the same way. Ash, the dental assistant always had a positive attitude. And last but not least Marissa in the front desk is just wonderful she went above and beyond when I asked her to change a few appointments. This office rocks. I highly recommend it.

I have a large family, and finding a new dental practice that is able to accommodate us all is not easy. Our former dentist became extremely crowded, and therefore had terrible wait times, a chaotic office, and the quality of care became impersonal and inconsistent with visiting dentists, etc. I brought in 2 of my kids yesterday (6th and 8th grade - one has an autism spectrum diagnosis and the dentist office is one of her least favorite places in the world). Dr. Brett McRay was very professional , knowledgeable, and friendly. I visited this practice for my six month check up and teeth cleaning. I did not feel rushed during my visit and every question that I had he patiently answered. The New patient registration was a breeze, my girlfriend made an appointment for me over the phone and was directed to fill out the new patient registration form online. I filled out the registration form and emailed to them the filled copy and within an hour I received a verification email that my appointment was set for 8:00 A.M. When I first walked in I was confused because this did not look like the normal dentist office to me (In a good way), the interior decoration was clean, bright and welcoming. All the dental equipment looked state of the art compared to my last dentist. They accepted my dental insurance which is Delta Dental. I would recommend this practice to all my friends, family and co-workers. Note: This is my first review so this should tell you guys how much of a great experience I had

I have seen Dr. Heather Robbins for a number of years. She has performed a number of services for me including filling a cavity, crowning a tooth, cleaning my teeth, taking x-rays and general dental healthcare. When she moved into practice with her husband, even though the office was further for me to drive, I am having her continue to attend to my teeth. Their new offices are stunning and state of the art. Dr. Robbins is a caring, attentive dentist who is concerned with her patient's care and comfort especially since I have had very negative experiences with several dentists in the past. She explains every procedure in detail before it is performed and makes sure throughout the procedure that my comfort level is maintained. She is gentle in performing the procedures and follows up to make sure that I have no problems after the procedures have been performed. I would highly recommend both Dr. Robbins and her husband for your dental needs.

Had a great experience here the dentist i had not gone in over 15 or more years i was very scared at first about what they might say or do since i had a bad childhood experience because i ate alot of candy, the toughest part was the first cleaning and my fear of needles but it was worth it in the end after i began to see some progress with my teeth but the best part was getting my chipped tooth fixed i had gone so many years keeping my mouth shut because i was embarrassed when i saw it i couldn't believe how much i missed it i had to give Dr.McRay a hug!! I feel more confident now and all thanks to them.

The dentist just called, after hours to talk with me about the procedure and help me with my anxiety. All of their staff are so very nice. I had two bad experiences with dental work so I hate going. Luckily, found Dr. Brett McRay a couple years ago when my regular dentist went a one month trip. He is kind and honest. His assistants are very caring and attentive. My co-workers warned me after a procedure that I would not be able to return to work for the afternoon due to the procedure with deadening which would make it difficult to speak (I'm in sales), however, he completed the needed work quickly with little local anesthesia. I returned to work right after.

Since coming in for a second opinion on drilling my 2 year old’s tooth, Dr. McRay and Dr. Robbins have become the dentist for myself and my entire family. You cannot ask for a more knowledgeable, patient and friendly team than the staff here. If you’re in need of expert family/cosmetic dental care in Houston, TX, you should definitely come by for a visit or consultation. - - - - - Came here for a second opinion on a risky procedure recommended by my regular dentist for my 2 year old son. Was blown away by the customer service, knowledge and experience of Dr. McRay. He explained everything in a way I could understand and didn't recommend the risky procedure until only later given certain other conditions. Best of all, the consultation was free. He could easily have made money off my parent-panic but didn't. Dr. McRay and his wife, Dr. Robbins, have been practicing in Houston for a long time and their experience, kindness and understanding show. I highly recommend.

Two for One! This is what I got from The Dentists at Houston Westchase when I went searching for an aesthetic dentist. I grew up with stained teeth and never smiled readily until now even though I love to laugh. I was always embarrassed about my smile! Now, after having my cosmetic dentistry done with Dr. McRay and Dr. Robbins, I could not be more pleased. I did not know where to turn at first and heard about the new office for The Dentists at Houston Westchase. After researching several dentists to entrust my care, I decided to try them out. It was the best decision I made in choosing a dentist. Upon arrival, the office is beautiful with so many custom touches you would not believe you are at the dentist. Dr. Robbins and the entire team warmly greeted me and were all very thorough and provided me options to achieve what I wanted. Every step of the way from start to finish she and her talented assistant Ashley guided me comfortably throughout the whole treatment. While she did all my cosmetic work, Dr. McRay was also always in the background calling to check on my and also help to alleviate any questions or concerns. The office manager, Britney filed all my insurance claims and made the paperwork part very easy as well. It was a delight to receive services and treatment from two professional dentists each with their own unique strengths and styles. If you are looking for an office that provides everything needed for complete dental care then this is the place to go! I recommend them with 5+ stars and I see I am not alone in my top assessment and stellar review. I am fortunate now to be a loyal patient for life. Thank you Dr. Robbins and Dr. McRay for my incredible smile and new self-esteem!

I went there because I received a flyer in the mail and I had an issue with a tooth. I thought I would try them out since they had this $99 special for exam, X-Rays, and cleaning and they are close to me. Unfortunately, they are only open like 2 days a week there and they have no staff other than a front office girl with no experience. My exam went fine. X-Rays were difficult as they seemed to be training their front office girl, Britney, and she did not know what she was doing. As for the cleaning--I had to remind them of the cleaning. They were not going to do it as he had to get back to another office. They did take time out to upsell me on Bleaching, Mouth Guards, etc. to the tune of an extra $1500. I did need bonding done, and they quoted me $261 x 2 or $522. I later got it done elsewhere at my new Dentist for $421 and that included all new x-rays too. (See Wendy Swantkowski--excellent Dentist--excellent work-- and no upsells) I was told by Dr. McCray--the dentist-- that I had an issue with my 1st molar and I might need a root canal. I told him I would go see Dr. Tracy Clark--my endodontist. He insisted I go to another place as they had 3d imaging. They told me they work with this group and I should go now. I went to see this other Endodontist, but when I got there, they said they don't have 3D imaging. Plus, they don't know the Dentists of Houston Westchase. When I got done there, I called Dr. McCray as I wanted to know the timing and scheduling of the root canal and the timing of the lab work on the new crown which I will need. The front office girl felt she could direct all of this and she essentially started practicing dentistry. I asked here how long the crown would take as I did not want to be overseas with a temporary and how long would it be between the root canal and the temporary crown. She told me not to worry and just get the root canal and she will fit me in when she can. There was no plan and she was not going to talk to the dentist about a plan. I asked to speak to the dentist about a plan. She informed me she would take care of everything and not to worry. I did ask her if they took my insurance. She never did answer me this--ever. I asked, and asked and asked. The one thing this front office girl, Britney, could do and should do was answer that question as that was her job. (By the way--my new dentist told me it takes them 3 weeks to order a crown. They knew it off the top of their head.) Due to no answers about insurance or treatment schedule--I went elsewhere. This seemed like a fly by night operation. Not professional at all. It was a waste of my time and money. (I still need my teeth cleaned as the cleaning job was not sufficient. Hard to do a good job in 5-10 minutes. ) Won't go back.
