First time visit here since moving to area. Appointment was originally at 2:00 pm and had a plumber at house doing some work.....long story short, 2 phone calls to Summer Hill to reschedule to a later time, managed to resolve plumbing problems and make my first visit. Once there, the front office staff was very nice and understanding about my reasons for being so late. Completed paper work and then Wendy took me back and did X-Rays and asked me several questions about any concerns I might have. Wendy then had Dr Bayless visit with me and check my teeth before doing a thorough job of cleaning my teeth. Very pleased with my first visit.

Got a crown put in on 12-13-18. I did appreciate the fact that I was able to get in earlier than planned due to a cancellation. However, the dentist gave me two injections of Novacaine, the second one within 10 minutes of the initial one, which I now regret having let her do this so fast. Today, 12-26-18, is the first day that the tooth itself seems to have seated properly. As far as the injection goes, it is still swollen on the point of injection and hurts. A lot. She initially told me the pain would last ONE WEEK. Tooth is still sensitive to hot and cold, even tho I regularly use nothing but Sensodyne. Very disappointed. Seemed to me the dentist wanted to finish up fast. As I said, it was my fault that I did not insist she NOT administer a second injection. I have had 3 root canals (by other dentists) and none of those procedures were even close to the result of this one. Very disappointed.

I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea and was keeping my husband up at night with my snoring, but I was not able to tolerate the CPAP machine. In desperation, I consulted Dr. Bayless with Summer Hill Dental, who told me about the Moses appliance and how it differs from commonplace anti-snoring devices. I decided to go through with the fitting (which was partially paid for by insurance) and have been absolutely thrilled with the results. I am getting more rest at night and my husband reports that my snoring has gone from about a 9 on a scale of 1-10 down to a zero or 1. My appliance is able to be adjusted, so if mild snoring resumes in the future, I can make the necessary changes. I am not experiencing any jaw pain and I am extremely grateful for this appliance, which has truly revolutionized my life and improved my relationship with my husband, who is a light sleeper.
