The dentist and hygienist were good. I have been to several dentist in my life and the dental hygienist was the most careful and caring I’ve had. I wish I could give her alone five stars. However, the lady at the checkout informed my boyfriend she was going through a divorce and she had got this job recently. I thought she was just overfriendly and had a problem with oversharing, but within a day or two she messaged my boyfriend through the work phone. She said she “creeped on his Facebook” and found her soon to be ex step son was his friend. I definitely have to subtract stars for her lack of preofessionalism. It was a great dentist but we won’t be going back unless we are informed she no longer works there.

Worse experience ever I went for a routine check up the dentist ended up doing some fillings for a little sensitivity that I had not a big deal, But after that the pain increased and increased I went approximately 4 times he redo the filling and said I need to get a night guard which was a little bit price after 3 months I still have the pain and went to another dentist and long story short story they need to do a root canal and started to show signs of an infection.

Really great cleaning by my dental tech, especially around the back molars and the back of my front teeth. Great at pointing out my trouble spots with tips how to better brush the area so that I can prevent decay. I have genetically bad teeth so have had a crown and fillings done there and they are always consistent and professional. My crown is smoother than any other I've ever had in the DFW area (no mould ridges near gum line or rough spots). I drive 30 minutes each way for Dr. Hedricks and her staff because they are that good.

I was a patient of Dr Hughes this year. He did a great job replacing my old filling. It was bothering me for few years and now I experience no problems with it. Hygienist lady is super friendly and nice. And she cleaned my teeth like no one before: thoroughly and gently. Now I have to move to another state and I wish I could take Dr Hughes with me.

Experience at Merit Dental was average, but their questionable billing practices are what's leading me to leave this 1-star review. I was billed on the date of service for what I assumed to be the total cost after the portion covered by insurance, and I paid that amount. Almost one year later, it turns out there was an "unspecified" procedure they performed for which they don't bill on the date of service, they wait to bill you the next time you come in. Since I didn't make a follow-up appointment, they sent me a bill almost a year later for this "unspecified" procedure. Witnessing their questionable practices completely validated my decision to find a different dentist and not return to Merit Dental.

All I wanted was a simple cleaning that is covered at 100% by my insurance. I was warned that everyone going to your office was told that the usual cleaning isn't enough and that is the sales pitch that I received also. The front desk person was like a used car salesman and tried to influence me to pay for something I couldn't afford. While she used the word "awesome" in reference to my desire to think about the situation, it sounded sarcastic. She told me that they would not clean my teeth unless they did the super-duper extra charge cleaning fee. I will not return.

If I could give more stars I truly would! I have never been to a more caring dental office in my life! Being a new patient anywhere is a little nerve wrecking but this office did a wonderful job at listening to the issues I have had in the past with discomfort and made sure it wasn't not an issue today! I also really appreciated being talked through the work that was being done because If you are all up in my mouth all personal like, I want to know what you are doing and how to keep from the same issues in the future. Thank you to everyone in this office for being nice and comforting!!

We have been going to merit dental a few years and have gotten excellent guidance and dental work from them. The staff is informed, pleasant and thorough. I'm particularly taken with Alison who has educated me about a lot of dental related issues almost with the patience that I must be her only patient! :) Love going there.

Merit-Dental is warm, friendly atmosphere. Dr. David Hughes is an excellent dentist. He is prompt, kind & gentle. Front desk, hygienist and dental assistance always have a smi. le on their face. Everyone is very informative. They work well with your insurance company. I highly recommend Merit-Dental.

Back in April I went in for a check up, and was told I need to get cavities filled. I was quoted a number and made my appointment. On the day of my appointment I show up and they do the work, and afterwards they ended up charging me an extra $100. I was told it was worse than they thought and they had to do more work. I paid the extra money and went home. Later on my insurance site when looking at a claim for my daughter I found out that I had been overcharged. They only submitted a claim for the initial amount. I then contacted them and they said that this specific service insurance companies sometimes don't pay so they didn't even claim it. Turns out my insurance pays 100% of it, and I shouldn't be charged for any of it, but they never even tried to put in a claim nor did they communicate any of this. I am still waiting on my refund, and am absolutely floored on this whole experience. I will never be coming back here again. If you do, I would check that they submit the entire amount and do not overcharge you. Edit: I finally got my refund, but not because of them. I had to start a claim with my bank to finally get my money back for the overcharge. Will never be going here again.

This entire dentist office is amazing. From brenda at the front desk, the dentists and all the staff. They really care about their patients and go an extra 10 miles for them. I will never go anywhere else!!!!!

This was my first visit to merit Dentalk and I was soo pleased! Everything was perfect! After my dentist of 10+ years quit I had only seen one other dentist and didn't care too much for her. That being said I hadn't been to a dentist in over a year or so. Ms Brenda at the front desk is great (she used to work for my old dentist) but Courteney was outstandinh! She made me feel right at home and explained everything in black and white. I am pleased to say I found my new dentist!

Friendly environment with a great staff! They really make you feel welcome and they are so caring and gentle. I love this dentist office. The lighting and the aroma is very inviting and soothing, as well. They really make you feel comfortable and at home when you come here and can really work with you and your needs/wants.
