I have been using this office for several years and although I do love the doctors/staff there, I will say they need to work on their communication better. I have called 4 times in the last month to get one question answered about my daughter's up coming dental surgery and they say they will find out and let me know, but never do. Her surgery might also have been avoided if they had told me the year prior that she had a tooth growing in wrong place. It was there on the x-rays, but by the time they decided to tell us, surgery was necessary. Again, the staff is nice, but they need to be more prompt in handling communication issues.

I took my son today to have some work done on his teeth. Everyone was very professional and nice from the staff at the front counter to the dentist. I appreciated that everyone was very friendly in a family type way. The dentist assistant who helped us and took my sons X-rays was very nice and went out of her way to calm my son and make him comfortable. I was happy she stayed in on the 40 minute procedure my son had. She stayed with him through out the whole thing and even after until he felt ready to get up. The dentist was very professional, as well. I really appreciated the way everyone was professional but still managed to not be cold. Through out the procedure the dentist kept telling my son they cared for him and he'd be ok. The dentist assistant offered words of encouragement, too, saying things like, "you got this". My son is 7 so he really needed these words because he was a little teary eyed in the beginning. Well, thank God, it all went well. My experience today was great!!! And my son still likes the dentist:) Keep up the good work.

The excuse I was given was they didn't correctly verify with my insurance the type of fillings they were using. When I asked why didn't they call to inform me of the change, they said that's not their practice.

I used to love this place, but then there were "staffing changes". The last time I went was in October of 2012 and it was the last time. My daughter is special needs, and on previous visits she was treated gently. She has autism, and sensory issues, but beside all of that I don't know a single kid who wouldn't get upset over a dentist trying to hold her down and scrape her tooth with a silver instrument. I was furious, not only because they were treating her that way, but also because I know it's totally unnecessary! My daughter is almost six and has had regular dental exams since she was two. Not once has she EVER been treated so roughly. She has a soft spot on one of her teeth, but every other dentist she has ever seen has said that it doesn't matter, since she'll lose that tooth anyway. I told the dentist (a young woman who obviously didn't have a clue about anything) what the other dentists had said, but she kept insisting that I had to hold my daughter down so she could scrape the tooth to check for a cavity. During all of this, another young girl was in the back getting her wisdom teeth removed, and she was screaming. You would think they would have sedated her! Horrible place, horrible staff, horrible everything.

I found Cove Total Dental through my works discount referral program and I called them to have an emergency extraction done on a wisdom tooth that had broken and was causing me severe pain. They worked me in immediately with Dr. Paul Weintraub. My teeth have deteriorated fast due to medical conditions and I’ve been treated badly by other dentists, but I didn’t have that experience with Cove Total Dental. They treated me kindly, and like it was no big deal. Dr. Weintraub did the extraction smoothly and I felt zero pain. He was kind and took care of me. I’d recommend him and his staff to people who need dental care. The prices are well worth the quality, and they even offer an affordable way to recieve care.

This was the first time I had gone to this dental office. Everyone there was polite and helpful. They were willing to answer any questions you may have. The prices are lower than some others in Cove but the service is excellent. My tooth was removed without a hitch. I will be returning in a few weeks to get my teeth cleaned too. So I am very happy and glad I gave them a chance to see how good they are and they did not disappoint.

CTD is consistently the BEST dental experience i've had and i've lived in austin and dallas. no clinic comes close. front desk is polite, prompt, and accomodates every type of patient. scheduling is never so overbooked you can't be seen in a timely manner, even on saturdays. doctors, hygientists, and assistants alike are knowledgable and thorough. their facility is phenomenally well kept! i have never had issues with insurance verification or financial obligation arguments like you usually do with clinics trying to bleed you dry. i came here for a second opinion after a sketchy dental diagnosis during my pregnancy, and Dr. Comfort knew exactly what he was doing and gave me an appropriate diagnosis and explained in full what he was seeing. didnt try to talk circles of jargon around me just to convince me of something i didnt have. the shining star of my appointment was Noelle, my hygienist, who was funny, quick, kind, and detailed in her work. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

The Doctor and staff were great. Had my wisdom teeth pulled and didn't feel it. He did a really good job. Maybe the only negative is someone working there wearing an excessive amount of perfume. Other than that all the staff were great and have been great throughout each appointment me and my family have had with them. I had several fillings done here. After a week, one of the fillings on a molar was very painful. Went back and they took some x rays, game me Vicodin, and sent me on my way. The pain never got any better because if they had taken the time to just open my mouth and look at the fillings, they would have realized that the tooth that was so painful had a hole left in it. After discovering the hole myself, I went back the following week but the damage was already done - and I had to have a root canal. I had never had any pain from the tooth before the filling. So, it is costing me nearly a thousand dollars to "fix" a tooth that was damaged from their mistake.

Every place has its positives and negatives. I broke a molar last week and was able to go in the next day. Which was great. The staff was friendly and courteous and listened intently about my pain and previous dental history. Since I have quite a bit of anxiety in the dental chair. I guess I must've spoken a different language, because I was steered into same day service. Like right then and there because, tomorrow is Friday and if there are complications and so on and so forth. Nevermind, that I clearly stated that my last dentist had to prescribe valium for the night before and the day of treatment. Dr Paul came in and spent maybe a minute, minute and a half with me to go over my treatment. I get numbed up and when he comes back and goes to work on my mouth, I start screaming. So there I am, his hands in my mouth, screaming and shaking when he decides to stop. He gives me 2 options, another shot, to finish or go to an oral surgeon to get knocked out. Against my better judgement, I go for another shot, put on my big girl panties and suck it up. I call the next day, because the pain meds I was prescribed were making me itch. Just to be told, oh yeah, you might be having an allergic reaction, use ibuprofen. That was as useful as putting a band aid pin a bullet wound. Flash forward to today, 5 days post extraction and I am still in severe pain. I go back in to see Dr Paul, again. He's in and out in about 60 seconds, decides on a treatment for dry socket and gives zero consideration to the pain. I had to sit out in my car for a few minutes crying, jaw throbbing, to regain my composure, before driving. I have zero complaints about the front staff or the dental assistants. But I will not return there, because if the Dr's have no consideration of me, as a person, or the pain that I am feeling. Then it's a complete waste of my time and money.

I feel obliged to share my story considering what a bad experience I had here. I have Aetna insurance & considered having composite fillings done. I inquired as to whether my insurance would cover it. I was told, after some research on their part, that they would accept my insurance & was given a quote based on that. Before the procedure began, I was given a form to sign that said, if for whatever reason, my insurance would not pay, then I was responsible for the full price. That's standard practice, I understand. I had my fillings done, payed the co-pay, now fast forward 3 months: I receive a phone call at my new address, out of state, informing me that if I don't make arrangements to pay on my account's balance, I'll be sent to collections. WHAT?!?! Come to find out that my insurance DID NOT cover this procedure. I only elected to have fillings done based on the fact that I was told BY COVE TOTAL DENTAL CARE that my insurance would cover X (substantial portion) amount of dollars! When I tried to explain this situation to the representative calling from this office, I was met with combative speech & literally these words "I don't care; you signed the paper saying you're responsible, so you have to pay". That REALLY adds insult to injury & it goes without saying that it's unprofessional. I would recommend looking for dentistry elsewhere.

This was a positive experience I had an extraction that needed done. You expect a wait when you show up without an appointment. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The dental assistant was very friendly and courteous. The Doctor was very accommodating for what was going to be a painful extraction. However given the situation he was willing to listen given my past bad experiences with dentists. He was also sure to reduce my discomfort as much as possible.

Usually my annual checkups go well, and have pain that lasts 1-2 hours(caused from cleaning). This time was different. The pain I'm experiencing has lasted over 4 and a half hours and is only getting worse. It is near impossible to eat, or even talk. If the pain doesn't die down tomorrow, I'm definitely complaining. Edit: This has happened repeatedly. I'm absolutely sick of this place. DO NOT GO HERE!! THEY'RE TERRIBLE!!

Its 2 am I'm awake in pain. I'm so upset with cove dental. I called for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. I was told over the phone they could remove it. So I drive all the way from gatesville crying in pain my mouth is bleeding. I get pulled over and held up by a cop. Then finally i get there the ladies at front desk were distant and not helpful. They didnt even tell me that my insurance would cover it. So finally I go in the back ask about my insurance and I get a yep. This lady tries shoving an xray tool in my mouth and then another lady comes in and says you cant use that on her. Obviously I'm swollen bleeding and your stabbing my gums too and I'm certain this is infected because my jaw is swollen and my lymth notes in my neck are swollen. Anyways so we go to the stand up xray. The whole time I was there no one ever looked in my mouth to see if there was anything going on. And basically theres ladies just ran up my insurance using me as a cash cow knowing I'm in pain and crying in pain. And then say we cant do the tooth removal here. Here's a referral. Excuse me I was told certainly that it would be removed I wouldnt of wasted so much time and pain of my life just to come there for that! And when I ask for some paper work to show I was there they write me the kind of slip you give a child to prove to there teachers they had a dentist appointment. Thanks for nothing. I'm in so much and and the swelling has quadrupled and my parents fly in this Friday. I am going to call my insurance and let them know about this to see if they can do anything about it.

completely unsatisfied with my ortho services from cove total dental. they are unprofessional, from the assistance arguing and discussing office drama in front of me to the orthodontist bringing her child into my appt. to yell at her for answering phones and giving false information during my visit, meanwhile I'm paying 5800.00. Also, when I had my consultation for my braces it was explained to me that i could pay 204.08 monthly or pay in full with Care credit and receive a discount, I specifically stated that my husband was military and asked what would happen in the event we had to move. They told me that even if i paid in full they would refund me minus the 204.08 times how many months of service i received. so i decided to pay in full 4,595 plus the 803 my insurance covered saving me to receive the discount of 402 trusting that i would get my money back if i had to move. fast forward 6 months, I had to move. i went into cove total dental and told them i would keep my last appt. and requested a refund for the remaining. i only received a refund for 2778.90, when i should have received a credit for 4,173.52 as promised during my consultation. They also kept the full 803 from my insurance. I tried to dispute it through care credit however cove total dental sent them a different break down of services i had never seen or discussed with my orthodontist before. now i am stuck paying 2 othro bills, its unfortunate that cove total dental takes advantage of their patients especially being located so close to a military base where they serve members and their families.

Filed on wrong insurance multiple times despite going in person multiple times to correct it. I will never use this place again ortho or general. I've been coming here for over 5 years and these past 4 months have been the worse. The front desk did not give messages to ortho for 4 months! I hate being lied to!

They are the BEST! I had just received the worst customer service ever 3 days earlier at another dental office. When I called Cove Total Dental it was a Friday at 4:00 pm. At the insistence of my Husband because I was in so much pain it was unbearable. To my surprise and relief someone answered the phone and showed true compassion for my pain. They gave me a couple of things to try that would possibly ease my pain and arranged for me to come in on Saturday! The other place said I would have to wait until July 12th (yes July 12 and it was only June 8 when I saw them). I told the receptionist that I was admittedly the biggest dentalphobe ever and they said not to worry. They were all, from the dental assistant to dentist to receptionist, the nicest people I had ever met. And the dentist....Dr Slightly was the most awesome ever. Even as I attempted to escape the chair during extraction. He told me how good I was doing and had such a calming voice . I know where my new dentist office is - Cove Total Dental. Thanks a million.

We are always charged for their mistakes, we can never make it out of the office with just the co-pay. Today my daughter had no cavities but during her cleaning they dug a filling out and it had to be filled so it cost us almost $80 for their mistake. While I thought their prices were reasonable at first, it's time to find a new dentist because they always find reasons to charge us. I would rather pay more for good, honest service.

Horrible scheduling . I expressed to them that I had a death in my family and that I wS leaving the area . I ask could they get me in immediately. I have a bracket of On my front crown tooth . And I expresssd to her how much it hurt . She said she had an appointment for a couple days later and turns around and said it's been booked . Not flexible at all.

Visiting the dentist for a much-needed tooth extraction is not something that most people look forward to. However, even with prospects of a dreaded dental procedure, the folks at Cove Total Dental made the visit much more endurable. From the friendly greeting at the front desk, to the x-rays and other preparations handled superbly by Yvonne the Dental Tech, to the calm and thorough professionalism by Dr. Weintraub, my recent visit was nearly as fearful as I thought it would be. Everyone on the staff was helpful and supporting; the anticipated pain was well-controlled; and the final result was a complete success. Thanks to Cove Total Dental, I may change my mind about those future visits to the dentist.

Dr Janelle Pham is the best dentist I have ever encountered. She did a major procedure for me. I told her I was sure any other dentist would have hurt me more and that I appreciated the extra care she took to minimize pain. She took great care in my sensitivity and was fantastic at explaining my options. Definitely sticking with her. The office is clean and the staff is friendly, helpful and competent.
