My husband and I had a very good dentist that we would go to (me twice a year and husband 3 times a year) and we would even drive far to his office because he was great. He relocated to a different area even further from us and it just wasn't feasible for us to continue seeing him so I decided to look around for dentist closer to us. I found this establishment and thought it seemed good so made an appointment and even signed up for their little "in house" plan. Well, on my first visit, the dentist said I had a small cavity and that she recommends I get my wisdom teeth removed (even though they didn't hurt or anything) and gave me paperwork for an oral surgeon friend of hers. They convinced me to go ahead and have the cavity filled while I was there and I paid about $150 after the discount the in house plan gives. I thought it was weird that I'd have a cavity because I take very good care of my teeth and had seen my dentist not very long ago but at the time I didn't know dentists lying was a thing. Then it was time for my husbands appointment and that was insane! Dr. Tran told him that he has periodontal disease and that he would need a very deep cleaning that costs $500. She also told him that his crown (which he had just gotten done not too long ago) was not done well and that she would need to replace it. He went ahead and paid $500 for the deep cleaning and scheduled it then came home. We started researching periodontal disease because he had ZERO signs of it and because our previous dentist never mentioned him having that, and he had been getting regular cleanings every 4 months and we decided that he did not have that and decided to get a second opinion. I found Dr. James Pavelka in Denton and scheduled him. We showed up and decided not to mention our previous dental visit to see what he would say without being skewed and Dr. Pavelka never mentioned periodontal disease!! He even went so far as to COMPLEMENT the work of our very original dentist on his crown that Dr. Tran tried to tell us needed to be redone. That is when we knew that she is not being honest with her customers and we will not be giving her anymore of our money. I am now very certain that I got duped by her in to getting a cavity refill I didn't even need!!! DO NOT GO HERE AND IF YOU DO, GET A SECOND OPINION ON ANYTHING SHE SAYS YOU NEED TO PAY HER TO GET DONE!!!

Recently moved to Texas and needed to find a new dentist. No problems with my teeth, just needed a cleaning and to get established as a patient. Based upon the reviews, and the office being close to my home, I decided on this dentist. Respectfully, I must adamantly disagree with the previous reviews, as that is most definitely not the care that I received. Yes, I did receive a cleaning; however, less than 2 months later, it feels like it needs to be done again. It was not thorough. But the most distressing aspects of the visit was that from the very beginning the dentist was trying to up sell me on cosmetic dental work. "Why did your previous dentist not use gold for your filling? It is so much prettier. Now there are compounds that are available to be used that will match the color of your teeth better." And so it went. When I left, I was given a quote for work that was in excess of $2,000. This would have been completely out of pocket, as I do not have dental coverage for this work. I would not recommend this dentist and in fact have already found another when the time come for my next cleaning.

Not only that, but I’m not the best patient out there and I know I can get frustrating to work with. Despite all of that Dr. Tran and her team not only did a fantastic job of taking care of me, they also took the time to fully explain everything and answer the many questions that I had. I had six cavities, two crowns, and needed a root canal, so it was a lot, but they helped make it as easy as it could be and worked with me every step of the way! Very poor experience. Unfortunately we didn't even get to meet the doctor because we ended up leaving after the front desk was so rude to us. From the moment we walked in, Phyllis was mumbling under her breath thinking I couldn't hear her, one thing that she stated that she was "already frustrated with these people", and just constantly sighing as if we were such a hassle to her... why? Because I have my kids with me? The appointment was for my two year old and needless to say we will be finding a more welcoming place for her. It's sad for the doctor since I've heard great reviews about her, but I'm not willing to deal with such a rude receptionist just to get a decent doctor.

I purchased a package with Aubrey Family Dental that included my first two cleanings and gave discounts on additional services. I did enjoy my initial visit, but I had to reschedule my 2nd cleaning due to a serious illness in my family. When I called to finally set up my 2nd cleaning, I was told that it expired two months ago because it had to be used within a year. This was not mentioned to me at all when I canceled the appointment, otherwise I would have made it a point to go in since it was already paid for. The lady at the front desk told me that it was in the paperwork I was given a year prior. I understand that I should have been aware of this stipulation since it was in my paperwork, but when you’re dealing with a serious family issue, The last thing on your mind is what was in the fine print. It should still have been mentioned as a courtesy when I cancelled the appointment that I would lose the money I paid for this service. Good customer service would also entail waiving the expiration for me this one time given the situation and ensuring that I am fully aware of the conditions moving forward. It’s really disappointing, and I’ll be finding a new office to take care of mine and my husbands dental work we were wanting to start taking care of. In response to your response: I understand all of that; nothing in your response addressed my complaint. As a courtesy, I suggest reminding patients when they cancel that they must reschedule within the designated time period if they have take part in your program. As you know, sometimes life gets in the way, people lose track of time,etc. It’s not difficult to look at their profile and give them this simple reminder so that they do not end up wasting their money- that’s simply good customer service. Secondly, I also work in a medical office and when these things occur our goal is to accommodate the client and keep them with us. We would notify the patient that they were past the date, give them a one time pass and have them sign a document at their next visit stating that they are now aware of the stipulation and will adhere to it moving forward- again, good customer service. Something like that would have been so appreciated that I would give praise about your office to friends and neighbors instead of now giving negative feedback. Just some thoughts for you to keep in mind.

I moved to north Texas for college and was in a need of a dentist pretty quick due to a poorly done filling (done by my previous dentist in my hometown). I was in pain and just wanted help. Dr. Tran and her team made me feel so comfortable and fixed the issue right away. My schedule is hectic, to say the least, but they always work with me to make sure I am able to be seen asap. She and her team have helped me with several issues regarding poorly done fillings and have also guided me through the Clear Correct process (which does, in fact, work) to fully straighten my teeth! Couldn't have asked for anything better! Would definitely recommend :)

A few weeks ago I had a horrible tooth ache and had to get into someone soon, I couldn't think or hardly speak I was in so much pain ( scared to death of the dentist) I read the reviews online and figured I'd give them a try. From the moment I called they were so kind they got me on within the hour, I walked in to a very cozy and clean office and almost no wait time,they got me back to see Dr. Tran. They could see how much pain I was in and how scared I was and honestly made the whole thing so much better. I am very satisfied with Dr. Tran and her staff. They always give you complete information about what needs to be done, and the options available. She also has worked with me to keep the needed work as affordable as possible. I will definitely be coming back.

I've been going to Aubery Family Dentist for over 3 years. I go 4 times a year because of my age. Dr. Tran is one of the best Dentist I have been to. If you need a good Dentist that doesn't hurt you then she is the one. The staff is great and friendly. They are like a small town Dentist. After I moved here I tried other Dentist closer to my house and I would never go back. When I called her office for the first time she answered the phone because her staff were eating lunch and she didn't want it to go to voice mail. We talked and I told her what kind of Dentist I was looking for. She answered all my concerns and now she is my Dentist.

Not a good experience... My wife and I are new to the DFW area, relocating from Columbus OH. We have been researching Dentists online for a couple of months, and decided to give Dr. Tran a try. The front office folks were pleasant and easy to work with. No complaints there. The cleaning didn't go so well. First, I would like to say that I have been going to the dentist every 6 months for over 50+ years, and this was the most "painful" cleaning I've ever experienced. During the cleaning, the assistant kept "frantically" moving the water and suction devices back & forth so "abruptly" ... it was like he was playing a "military battle" video game in my mouth. In addition... while keeping my tongue from interfering with the cleaning tool, my tongue was getting pulled to the side, so hard, it felt like it was going to be "ripped" out of my mouth. I had to actually raise my hand, at one point, to communicate that this was too "painful". I was told that I was "fighting too much", and that "I needed to relax." (communicated by the Dentist) I actually came home with broken skin in a couple of spots on the roof of my mouth. I like to think I can normally withstand lots of pain, but this was an unbelievable experience. The comment from the Dentist that I was "fighting too much" was ridiculous as well. Next issue was the work that needed to be done for future appointments. (New Crown) It was obvious that my insurance company was NEVER contacted, because they had me paying 40% of the bill upfront. My insurance actually covers 80% of this procedure. You do the math. I was told that if there was an adjustment that was needed, then I would get a credit. Every dentist I've ever gone to knows EXACTLY what my insurance will pay. You don't charge the customer double, then hope for the best. From my perspective... they could have done some "due diligence" here. Also, I was still "reclined" back in the chair, when approached with this billing information. I thought this was very unprofessional. The billing process just felt a little "shady" altogether. Needless to say... I've cancelled my next cleaning appointment, and I will NOT be going back to this dentist. BTW... If I had written this review the day of the appointment, it would be worse. I've calmed down a little since then. Br, RB
