My husband wanted a dentist that was closer to our home. He had to have some teeth extracted and a permanent bridge put in. Our previous dentist in Garland made the temporary bridge in his office and we never had a problem, with the temporary waiting upon the permanent bridge to be completed. This dentist has a lab make the temporary bridge and it was very ill-fitting and very uncomfortable and even with numerous trips to his office to try and remedy the situation, it never became comfortable. During to temporary period, the bridge developed a crack in it and a new temporary had to be made of which we had to pay $250.00 out of pocket to make another temporary bridge, our previous dentist in Garland would make another temporary at no additional; charge.
When our insurance paid their first few claims, we had to pay out of pocket what they said we would owe based on insurance coverage, but when the claim was paid, we found we paid more out of pocket then we needed to and were due a refund. When I called the dentist office about this, they claimed there were services that they didn't add, so they gave us very little of our refund back.
On the last day we were in the office and the dental work was finally complete, the office gave me a breakdown of what the insurance would pay and what our final out of pocket expense would be. At that time,. we finalized our out of pocket expenses,,,,but now we get a bill from this office claiming we owe more money.
I feel we were gouged by this office and paid more than was necessary, therefore we will never return to this dental practice again.....we will return to our dentist in Garland, who gives wonderful service and doesn't gouge the patent.
