How are you are treated as a patient in Dr. Roach's office? You are treated like a friend who has come to visit. Smiles from everyone in the office. The waiting room is pleasant and there are drinks and bottled water waiting for you. A TV in every room helps to take your mind off of being in a dentist office. Dr. Roach is a jewel; he is excellent at making you feel comfortable in his chair. The dental hygienists are excellent and give you painless service. I was caught in a rain storm on one visit and they provided me with an umbrella that I still use often. David Roach Family Dentistry' emphasis on the "Family," because that's how they make you feel.

This is the best dentist office I have ever been to! Everything was amazing- from the people at the front desk who greeted me with a smile, to the dental hygienist who kept me informed of everything she was doing (she handed me a “comfort menu” when I sat down- a comfort menu! It was my first visit and I found them to be very professional and technically up to date. Being technically up to date in their business is most important. One can get into a lot of trouble with a dentist who is not current. I have been in this situation in the past. Everyone was very friendly and eager to help.

My wife and I went to Roach Family Dentistry and received poor service and very poor dental work. My wife, Lori, needed 2 root canals plus 1porcelain crown, and I needed a deep scaling...Over 7,000.00...which was nearly double the average cost. Shortly after the procedure one of my wife’s two root canals went bad, her tooth turned black, and she’s experiencing severe pain. I also had another dentist look at my scaling and take X-rays of the work a few months after the work was done, and the dentist was amazed at the price I payed for such a poor quality job. I suppose Roach Family Dentistry likes “sticking it to” poor minority families, and the so-called “free day of Dentistry” the they promote is paid for by families like mine. I would highly recommend that you shop around for a dentist before going there. You definitely won’t pay any more than what they charge for better service and procedures. I will post a picture of my wife’s bad tooth on other sites and reviews. God bless!

The entire staff at Roach Family Dentistry made me feel welcomed and well taken care of from the moment I walked in to the office to the end of my visit. When I was taken to my chair, there was a sweet welcome gift! My hygienist was efficient yet thorough and Dr. Riggs was informative, personable, and professional. I am very sick with s dual immunodeficiency. Genetics and trauma kicked it up. My teeth are suffering. I cannot afford dental insurance and the illness in my mouth is tied directly to Hypogammglonulinania and Candida. I’m now so sick I am considering selling my car to treat my teeth . Dr David Understands and I pray I can get this help . It’s not fair my insurance was lost due to disability lack of funds and the insurance companies will not help 6month wait I have to pay and no treatment allowed for immuno compromising illnesses. I know Dr will help me but I need a down payment. I know when my mouth heals I’ll be a lot better. Looking forward to finally finding Dr David Roach and will help . The IDF has a good article for immuno comprise and mouth health . Very complex

I had a crown put on in 2016. It came off Sunday 3/31/19. Went in two days later and had it reattached. They charged me just over 200 to put it back in. They said since I missed my last appointment that it voided the warranty!!! WHAT BS!!! I guess they just want your money. I will never go back!

My first visit was yesterday. They took me at the last minute knowing I'd have to pay in cash because I didn't have dental insurance. They were so nice .They greeted me with smiles and handshakes and removed a tooth that cracked literally in half 30 minutes prior to the visit.I am now in the process of getting dental insurance and plan to make Roach family dental my New dental home.

4th visit today (initial, 2 deep cleaning appts, and follow up) and still very satisfied. Front desk staff is exceptional. Jackie, my hygienist each time, is incredibly thorough in her explanations and beyond kind. I could very likely find somewhere else where my insurance would cover more, but there's no price tag on comfort, professionalism, and great client services. Admittedly, I've avoided the dentist for years because, well, who enjoys going to the dentist? Because of that, they probably could have convinced me I needed more work than was true, but they seem very honest and I have never felt like I was being "sold" something. Thanks to all the staff for the wonderful care.

I can not express my appreciation enough for this dentist office. From start to finish it was an incredible experience. When my husband called Liz (the receptionist) was genuinely concern about my health. When we got there, before I could sit down, they brought me to the back (They were completely booked that day). I was greeted in the back by another kind woman (I hate that I forgot her name) who stayed with me the whole time. Then, Dr. Fox took amazing care of me. Finally, (I believe her name was Terry; I hope that's correct. I was in a lot of pain so it was hard to concentrate, but they completely took my pain away) the woman who cleaned out the infected area was so calming, kind, and very gentle. I really like the dentist I have now, but I will be switching because I LOVE these exceptional humans so much! I highly recommend going to see this staff- I promise you will not be disappointed! Oh! They even had a comfort list of items to choose from, had a blanket (that was a gift) waiting for me with a kind note that had my name written out on it. I almost forgot they have called me four times to check on me and make sure I was doing alright. Seriously, could you possibly have a better experience?!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my first visit with Dr. Roach and his staff. From the moment I arrived to the very end of my appointment I felt like a valued patient and was introduced to each member of the team. Everyone was positive, kind and welcoming. Dr. Roach was attentive to my concerns, offered advice and solutions to a few minor issues and made sure I was comfortable throughout the exam. Before I even had the chance to ask for a cost breakdown of my next visit, the hygienist introduced me to their financial staff member who walked me through my current visit price and any future preventative work to be scheduled. As a 20-something transplant to Nashville in my first job and without dental insurance, it was very meaningful for them to anticipate my budget concerns and offer affordable options for care. My entire appointment felt felt more like a spa experience, from the friendly staff to the welcome tote bag complete with a lip balm, coffee thermos and welcome letter from the doctors. I’m thrilled to have found such a wonderful practice in Nashville!

I moved to Nashville in 2009. I called numerous dental offices and decided on Dr Roach based the phone conversation I had with the receptionist. Her knowledge had me sold that I was going to a practice where the staff would know what they were doing. I have referred numerous people to this practice because they are professional, friendly and skilled in every aspect of dentistry and customer service. I love Dr Roach, his staff, his in house insurance plan (better then anything out there) and the new amazing office. If you are looking for top notch care for adults and children do not hesitate to schedule an appointment with his office.

My hubby, the doctor-procrastinator, that he is is motivated by pain and suffering. This was our first introduction: " Hello. I know its 3:30 pm and too soon to expect an appointment... but?" " Yes." So because of a cancelation my husband was taken care of my Dr. Lakey and staff . Not too many people I know can say they enjoy going to the dentist, but I can. I love going to the dentist because the people at David Roach Family Dentistry are absolutely wonderful! They care about you and it shows. I see them 4 times a year for cleanings and they always greet me by name as soon as I walk in the door. They worked out a great payment plan for me so that I could receive service and not worry about not being able to pay. I have also never been in a lot of pain after I left their office. They don't call Dr. Roach the "Numbing Ninja" for nothing! He's awesome! If you need a dentist, go to David Roach Family Dentistry! They are funny, wonderful, caring, and they are the best dental office I have ever been to!

This photo was taken this morning after a root canal that took 7 1/2 hours to complete. Not only did I feel the pain the entire time because she took so long, but I had about three panic attacks hysterically crying when I was there. It was the dental experience that makes you never want to see a dentist again. I am completely mortified. I am now prescribed pain medicine and antibiotics, but I cannot even talk or move my jaw after being held open and stuck with needles so much. As if it could not get worse, my dentist tried to stop three times in the middle of the root canal because she felt I was being complicated. In reality, she was taking so long to do the procedure that my numbing was wearing off and I COULD FEEL HER DRILLING IN MY MOUTH. I could not breathe because she had this thing over my mouth (no one else has ever used on me) and I took off the laughing gas to catch my breath and they told me I was rude?! I could not breathe out of my nose because I was crying from the pain and this mouth thing was blocking my airway. I took it off because I couldn't breathe... and they had nerve to tell me I was rude. I will never ever ever ever go back here.

Do not go here. They will fill 'cavities' that do not need to be filled to try to get your money. A dentist filled a cavity back in January. I had tooth pain and went back in. They said the original dentist did not shave down the filling correctly and another dentist did so. When I went back in because I still had tooth pain, they said it should go away. The dentist also told me that it was not unusual for the pain to last for several months. So, I finally went back for my biannual, and I told them my tooth hurts more than ever. The dentist said the same tooth they filled earlier now needs a root canal...and that it is in no way related to the poor dental work they had done earlier in the year.

By far the absolute best experience in any dental institution hands down! I have a serious fear of the dentist, and everyone was extremely accommodating. I arrived nearly an hour early, and they did not waste any time at all. Very detail oriented, but also asked me if I just wanted the bottom line. Everyone is friendly but they didn't take the time to check my insurance and let me know prior to being charged $100 that it wasn't accepted. I was told my insurance was like "tenn care" so they wouldn't cover anything which is infact not true it just wasn't covered at their office but is covered at the office directly across the street.

We were out of town on vacation when my husband started feeling an unbearable pain beneath his bottom front teeth. We were headed toward Nashville, so I looked up dentists in the area and saw the great reviews for Roach Family Dentistry. I called, and they scheduled him appointment for the same day. They saw him immediately when we got there, took x-rays and quickly diagnosed the issue. He had a large cyst that had been growing for years that our dentist never caught in their x-rays! They were so friendly and caring and efficient, we were just blown away by their amazing professionalism and phenomenal service. We are glad that we were out of town when this happened so my husband could be cared for by these great people.

I have never had a positive dental experience and have gone in only when I had to even though I've needed to go in more. I just assumed that is what you get. This was beyond anything I'd hoped for the day as I had prepared myself for the worst. It was so wonderful from beginning to end! I was kindly and promptly greeted, they were gentle and respectful and didn't make me feel less than for my less than perfect teeth. I have anxiety and they made it so that it wasn't awkward or scary. They used forethought in explaining the plan for my teeth. They were so professional and attentive. I wouldn't have known the assistant was an assistant if she hadn't said so. They were so good at everything. You can tell when someone loves what they do and these people really do. They even have a payment plan that helped a lot and I left painless with much more than I had expected to get done. They even made a Saturday appointment for me. I will never go anywhere else and am more encouraged than ever to continue the process of maintenance and care for my teeth. I recommend them to everyone! Just don't take up all my appointments ;)

I absolutely love coming to this dentist office. I normally work with Dr. Zang and she is absolutely amazing. She’s patient and very knowledgeable so are the assistants and staff. My only complaint are the front desk workers over the phone. If you ever need to reschedule or cancel an appointment they get really snappy with you. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable when I come in for my next visit. Especially since I’m a loyal patient. Sometimes things just come up and you can’t make it. I don’t want to feel like a small child that’s doing something wrong for respectfully canceling. What you receive over the phone and being the first face i see in the office effects how feel about the entire establishment. Honestly other than that I have no complaints. It’s an amazing office and Dr Zang is literally THEEE BEST!

I cracked a tooth this past March and my regular dentist was out on vacation so I tried this dentist. He told me I needed the tooth pulled, an implant put in and possibly needed to cut some infected bone out. Totaling $4,800 in cost and needing 3-4 appointments. I thought that sounded a little crazy so I waited for my regular dentist to come back. He said that was an extremely aggressive and unnecessary solution. Instead, he did an onlay, in one appointment, for $245. He also said, the infection was very minor and required no extra attention. I wanted to wait a few months to see if I had any complications with the onlay before I made a review. It has been 9 months now with zero issues. Roach dental is ONLY after the money and they use scare tactics to make you think it is far more serious than it is!!!!!!!!

However, my experience today at David Roach Family Dentistry was the best I've ever experienced hands down. The atmosphere was amazing from the time I walked through the door until I left. The staff was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I requested the nitrogen oxide during my cleaning to help eliminate my anxiety and it was smooth sailing!! They also have great payment options and plans available, which is another reason why I'll continue to go back.
