Our insurance isn't covered under them but I try to go when my insurance won't cover. I can tell you this from my experience they really care about people. Dr Ellen McOmie has treated me with more respect and dignity than I experienced not only at a dental office but just in general. She took time out of her day off to make a call to check in on me and my dental condition. Its not their fault my insurance won't work with them they cant help that. My hygienist was great as well. no complaints from my family.

I started using him when he could see me in a really short amount of time when I had a bad tooth causing me a lot of pain and my regular dentist told me it would be a month before I could be seen even though I was in extreme pain. They got me in the very next day.

Went in for routine appointment and it was suggested to have a tooth filled based on a shadow on an xray to prevent further damage (when there was no pain or visible signs of decay). Upon filling it, I was informed I'd probably need a root canal... then surprise I ended up needing one. Paid around $100 for a filling, then another $1500 for root canal. 6 months after procedure, still experienceing problems. Peer review deemed procedure as "clincally acceptable". For $1600 I expected better than clinically acceptable. I was also presured to get a credit card to pay for whole procedure up front after being told I could make payments. Pressured because if you make payments you have to pay finance charges even after being a loyal patient for years. Very disappointed.

Dr.Mark McOmie is one of the BEST dentists in Chattanooga (sharing first place with Dr. Ellen McOmie) not just for people who are fearful of getting dental work done, but also because he is a grade A professional at his craft and deeply cares for each patient. It was a wonderful experience from the moment I parked right in front of the office where the closest, shadiest spots are kept open for patients. The office staff immediately greet you with a smile and have the lobby at a very comfortable temperature. I enjoy going to the dentist and have delayed going for fear of the cost without insurance. I should have known Dr.McOmie would have a very wallet-friendly price for those that pay cash. Ashley, my Dental Hygienist is really the one that made this a lovely experience. She was very friendly, kind, and excelled at cleaning my teeth. She gave me over the counter recommendations for gum recession and calmed my fears about not flossing enough with advice on ways to increase flossing. One of the things that makes Dr.McOmie stand out is that they never pressure you into unnecessary procedures or treatments like other dental offices. If you don't need it, it isn't offered. You never have to fear being put in an uncomfortable position of pressure sales while in the care of this dentist office. They look out for you, your teeth, and your wallet. Thank you, Dr.McOmie and all the staff. Thank you for all that you have done, continue to do, and will do for everyone in our area. You make a difference and you set the bar for fantastic patient experience.

We got our son an appointment at Mcomie; when my son left, we were charged $600.00 when ask to speak to someone in the office the front desk reception said she could talk to us right there in front of everyone. She had a tone of this is the way it is and if you don't like it speak to the dentist. I had my son right there with me, and everyone in the reception area heard our conversation very uncomfortable.

If you would’ve asked me a couple months or even a couple of weeks ago I would’ve highly recommended this place. I absolutely love the staff! I wasn’t fond of payment method and how that works, I was told several different prices and have the paperwork, I think they just wing it, and not exactly sure what will and will not be covered by the insurance. My last visit was my LAST! I got a couple fillings and they found my perfect shade and was like oops we don’t seem to have that color “let’s try this”. Umm

We are new to town and don’t have a pediatric dentist yet. My 3 year old son was up all night with tooth pain. Most places are closed on Fridays. I called everywhere but Mcomie said they would take my son. We arrived and they were immediately attentive and friendly with my son! They made him comfortable and were super patient. Dr. Tori and Kelly were amazing! They found his cavity and were able to take it out. Unfortunately my son wouldn’t let them finish and fill it in, but they tried multiple times and finally referred me to a Dr. who could sedate if needed next week during normal business hours. Most importantly though, my son will NOT be in pain all weekend!!!! I am so thankful!!!!! We were blessed by this wonderful practice today. We have definitely found our new Dentist in Chattanooga!

I have known Dr. McOmie for the past six years. He is one of the finest dentist in Tennessee. His quality of work is second to none. He uses the most advanced materials available in dentistry. Dr. McOmie has the fastest and highest quality digital impression scanner on the market. When you go to his office, you do not need to take a regular, gooey impression that tastes bad and sticks to your mouth. Instead, the digital scanner scans your mouth using lasers and no gooey material. I highly recommend Dr. McOmie for my family and all of my friends.

From the moment I stepped in the door for my cleaning, I was not only greeted by the super friendly front desk staff, but also Savannah and Misty who help Dr. Mark with my last implant. Update to my review: I recently had a dental implant and crown and it was the easiest procedure I've had at the dentist. Dr. Mark used a new high tech scanner and the crown was perfect and back from the lab in one day. Unbelievable!!! You will not regret using Dr. Mark and Dr. Ellen as your dentist. In my opinion, Dr. Mark and Dr. Ellen are two of the finest dentists in the Southeast. They are both very knowledgeable and up to date on all the latest procedures and technologies in dentistry and its evident when you walk into their practice. The equipment they use is modern and everything in the office is clean. The staff is friendly and they genuinely care about their patients. Recently, I found out that Dr. Mark gives lectures all over the country to other members of the dental community teaching them about the latest advancements in dentistry. I think many professionals ignore the importance of continuing education and staying abreast in their field of expertise. I'm glad that Dr. Mark and Dr. Ellen not only embrace but teach others about these improvements in technology. If I could I would give zero stars. Just so everyone knows, this man put me in the hospital for pulling an infected wisdom tooth, telling me it's infected while he's pulling it. Sent me home with no meds, or pain meds, didn't even pack the gum. 2 days later I was in the ER downtown and they told me if I hadn't come in I would have died that night. The infection went to my heart and almost got to it. I was a vegetable for 2 days and then stayed in the hospital for 7 or 8 days. I litteraly was about to die. So anyone thinking about going to this man, I wouldn't.

Very professional, they fixed a bridge on the lower back teeth on right side , saw that one of the tooth needed strengthening and installed a carbon fiber little rod like thing in to the tooth to help it hold up in future. Update: I just had a crown replaced by Mark...and he did a fabulous job! He is very precise in his measurements and makes sure the new crown is as natural as it possibly can be. I have had crown work done by other dentists, in Florida and in Chattanooga, but no one is as good as this dentist. My teeth haven’t felt this good in years.

Going to the dentist has been one of the most unpleasant things I had to do. I have had some bad experiences and a root canal done by another dentist that Dr. McOmie had to make right. I have found the pleasant surroundings and welcoming atmosphere goes a long way to putting me at ease.
