Their hygienists are fabulous. Caroline worked with my son and was able to get him to finish his cleaning and xrays just like Batman

My children were a little unsure about the dentist visit. This was my youngest one’s first dentist visit at 3! The office was very colorful and inviting from colorful walls to birthday cake toothpaste. The wait was extremely short and Caroline and Dr. Priya were so sweet yet very forward and informational and answered all of our questions. I love that they have the children sand timers for brushing their teeth :) we are so happy we found this lovely office! As soon as we got in the car, the little one wanted to brush her teeth.

My daughter just absolutely loves coming to little harpeth Children’s dentistry. The staff is so good with her and she just loves Melinda Dutton . She is always excited to go to her dental appointments so that says a lot . I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my child .

This place doesn’t seem to know how to work with children. As my son was getting his teeth cleaned he felt like the dental assistant was brushing his teeth too hard. He also stated the tooth paste they were using on him was hurting his teeth! Instead of listening to him and coaching him through it (which I thought that’s what a pediatric dentistry does, specializes in working with children) all she kept saying was: Well sorry I have to do this! She was blunt and rude. And my son could hardly get through the cleaning. My son has been to the dentist many times and never had any issues with getting his teeth cleaned. Because of his reaction to the dental assistant, the dentist then goes on to tell me that he would need to be put under if she were to do fillings for any future cavities. Are you serious??? My son is eight years old and has never been put under for fillings. I was very displeased by the dental assistant and dentist. I felt the whole cleaning was rushed and a non friendly environment. Not going back!

We had such a great experience! Our daughter has had several cavities (I swear she brushes and flosses and doesn't eat gummies and juice, etc.!). Dr Purohit was great about explaining the procedures she needed and working with my absolutely terrified little girl. She was SO anxious and left her tooth extraction appointment feeling like a champ and is actually looking forward to her next cleaning appointment. Dr. P is really skilled at what she does, explained everything thoroughly, answered all my questions about the procedure with patience. She's terrific with kids. And was so helpful in determining how to best work with our dental insurance. I found the office, the staff, the administrative side to all be really high quality. Highly highly recommend.

My daughter had her first dentist appointment at Little Harpeth, and it could not have been a better experience. She is only 14 months old so I was anxious about how it would go with her being so young. It was quick and enjoyable to my surprise! The dentist and hygienist clearly have a talent for working with children. They had excellent communication, and we left with a clear plan going forward for dental care. The office was clean and colorful.

This is the worst experience I have ever had! Out of all the Dentist I have had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with over the years, this is by far the worst!! This dentist encouraged me to purchase a toothpaste for my child that cost $20.00. I purchased the toothpaste using my flex spending account. However, my flex spending account was frozen due to the fact that my insurance provider stated that the toothpaste should have been purchased over the counter. I found out later that the exact same toothpaste is sold over the counter for much less! My insurance provider asked me to have the dentist send a letter stating that the toothpaste was medically necessary for my child. I called the dentist office trying to get this taken care of before the end of the year so we would not lose $1000 on our flex spending account, because there is no roll over for the following year. I spoke with Dr. "P" over the phone and she stated they would be out of the office until January 3rd. I proceeded to send her an email detailing the urgency of her office providing a letter asap. I followed up with her office today January 3, 2019 and was told that the doctor would not provide the letter until the 14th of the month because they were busy!! Unfortunately we lost the money. Poor establishment!!! Unprofessional!!

LIttle Harpeth is absolutely amazing!! I have been in the Dental field roughly 15 yrs. I have always been hesitant about taking my children to a pediatric dentist because of a bad work experience that I had. Dr. Priya and Ashlyn are the greatest!!! I would take my kids back without hesitation. You are not going to find a more caring, patient, professional, kind and loving Dr. and assistant anywhere else. Dr. Priya is very knowledgeable and goes over every step of treatment, she answers all your questions and I guarantee you won’t feel as if she has rushed you out the door. After seeing how well the staff interacted with my son I transferred his records and they have been his dentist since. First I would like to say the dentist (Dr. Priya) was excellent. The financial side of things was terrible. We brought our insurance card to the front office to ensure that our visit would be covered. They veried that it would be covered. Subsequently after seeing our little one they send us a bill for more than $200 for a simple check (no cleaning), none of which was covered by insurance. They then said that we have DHMO and they were not a preferred dentist. I can fully appreciate all of this, except they checked our card! They were not willing to work with us regarding the bill and sent repeated mailings that they would send our bill to collections if we did not pay it immediately.
