Our 3 year old son was seen today and the staff was incredibly wonderful! I was hesitant bringing him in as he does not even like to have his haircut, but the hygienist we saw went above and beyond to talk to him, engage, and explain everything that was being done. He has not stopped talking about how fun the dentist was. This mom sincerely appreciated their effort and patience.

I loved how colorful and sweet the people were to my me faith and my family. The office is huge and love how they are so communicative with their patients and each other. Really made me comfortable to take my child there. Even though my daughter was nervous on her first time she was really comfortable talking to the nurses and doctors and following their requests. The staff is excellent with children here! This is the best pediatric dental office I have ever visited. They have a kid friendly, fun environment beginning from the main lobby all the way to the exit door on your way out.If you haven’t brought your child here yet and live in the area, I strongly recommend you consider bringing them at least once. We recently moved to the area and my son unfortunately had a dental emergency. He knocked his permanent front tooth out this morning and I had not yet found a new family dentist. Our Knoxville dentist office had referred us to DPD but I hadn't contacted or registered my children with the office yet. I called as soon as they opened this morning and was happy to find out that they would make it a priority to fit him into their schedule today. From start to finish, the office staff, dental techs, insurance billers and Dr. Robbins, all went above and beyond my expectations! This office is kid friendly and parent friendly too. My daughters absolutely love this place. Staff is super friendly and take their time with of my daughters. My daughter had an appointment and ended up with a different hygienist than what she has had every other visit and got upset. The lady asked her what was wrong and she told the lady you aren't touching me and pointed to (Lauren) the one who ALWAYS does her cleaning and said she is doing it. The lady stopped told Lauren and she stopped what she was doing to take care of my daughter. Absolutely one of the best dentist around the area.

Just the other day he was telling a stranger who was having trouble getting their kids to the dentist about Dr. John. Mydaughter loves them . The dentist are so nice. The staff scheduled the appointment specifically knowing my autistic daughter has certain issues and fears with the dentist, and were excellent in helping her and making her feel comfortable. Both of my sons are seen at the same time, which is wonderful! They love going to the dentist and love the staff. I have never had a long wait time, but as someone who works in the medical field, I understand that things happen and cannot be avoided. If our appointment is 2:30. we are usually out no later than 3:00. I would never give up on a business based on one incident. I love this place and I have never had a problem with the staff being rude. They are always helpful and always smiling.

I LOVE the dentist here for our 7 year old. It's just the upfront staff that's very rude. I let them know when I rescheduled his appointment that he would be a few mins late that I won't take him out of school early. Appointment at 3pm, i got him out of school at 247 and came straight there They knew this and told me it was absolutely fine UNTIL I got there and the rude shoulder length blonde will make someone not to ever come back. I hate that, it really hurt my feelings because I did let someone know we would be a little late. Just shocked me a bit but the Dentist and the techs are AWESOME!!! give it another try if the girls up front are rude. The dentist make up for it for sure oh and our son LOVES it here!!!

Highly recommend !!! Amazing place ..My son got numerous teeth pulled. Because his grown up teeth aren't pushing out his baby teeth. He was nervous but they did an amazing job. I was able to watch him on the screen as they were working on him. They even called hours later to check in on him awesome place and amazing staff!

Dickson Pediatric is by far the BEST dentist I have ever taken my four children to. Their front desk staff is courteous, the wait time is almost always short, their set up for cleanings and check ups is the most kid friendly I have seen, their hygienists have all been super sweet and great to deal with, and their dentists have incredible 'bed side' manner with kids and I never feel rushed when I have questions. We have had one emergency, and I received an almost immediate call back when I left a message with after hours. They said they were booked up, but if I could come in early they would make it happen. They did and I couldn't have been happier. At the end of the day, the opinion that would matter most is that of my kids, and the fact that they get excited when its time to go to the dentist speaks volumes! Dickson Pediatric Dentistry has it all together...from their team of people to their business structure to the way kids (...and parents!) feel cared for! Great job making what is typically thought of as something scary to many kids into a fun time where they just happen to get their teeth cleaned!

The doctors and hygenists are great. I have been a dedicated customer for 4 years but am saying my goodbyes due to the utter disrespect from office staff and GM, for simply pointing out their mistake on billing, which could have easily been an attempt at insurance fraud. I was name called, ridiculed, and treated dispensable, even as a veteran. They definitely need schooling in customer service.

DPD is amazing. Every time we go, my children are cared for so well. My son had to be sedated for cavities recently and I was unable to be in the room with him. I was completely confident that he was in good hands and he came out of that experience still wanting to go back to the dentist. They loved on him so well during that procedure. I was very apprehensive about taking my 16 month old to the dentist for the first time. However it turned out to be a positive experience for us both. My son was having a fussy morning but cheered right up once he hit the waiting room. He started "talking" to all of the staff, who were all very sweet. I had questions about the forms, and the woman at the desk took her time explaining them to me. Once we were called back my son became a little uneasy. Everyone was very sweet with him. They did not push him and stopped when he started to get upset. He survived his first exam and got a rubber ducky and a cool new toothbrush that he was super excited about. :) I would definitely recommend this practice to others.

I made an 8am appointment, arrived at 7:45 and was not seen until almost 9 am. After waiting for 30 minutes I asked one of the ladies at the desk what was taking so long and was told it would be just a little bit longer. 15 minutes later I again asked how much longer we would have to wait and was told she didn't know. When I stated that I needed an estimate as the waiting had become ridiculous I was told my son would be the next patient seen. I again asked how long that would be and received no answer. Finally as I was about to walk out the door he was called back. The hygienist was the only positive part of this experience she was great with my son. When I mentioned the unreasonable wait to the Dr. he said I'll talk to them. He then said that sometimes long waits happen, and that's all there is to it. I told him that was unacceptable. He responded with there aren't that many pediatric dentists, do you still want me to check for cavities. I told him that as long as I had waited I certainly expected him to. The location is quite convenient; however I will happily drive to Nashville to avoid this office. There is no excuse for wasting that much of my time.

An update for my past review I just want to update my past review, but wasn't able to so I will give a new review here. One of 4 of my children had a not so great first experience trying to get work done in this office in 2016, however, I would like to say that every appointment we have had since has gone great. My son Kylan has since has oral surgery done at the hospital and the dentist was excellent and did wonderful work. Another son has also since had work done at the hospital because of his age and the dentist was wonderful then too. They answered all of our questions and took care of our guys. Today I took 2 of 4 of my kids in for a check up. We got there 30 minutes early, sat for about 5 minutes and were gone before our appointment time was even scheduled for. The dentist and assistants are always great with the kids, so I hope our previous bad experience was just a rare bad day, which happens to everyone. I felt they deserved recognition for a job well done over the last 2 years since my previous review. Thank you!
