"I hate when parents bring their kids here for cleaning and get the work done somewhere else, drives me crazy when they do that" is what they told my daughter. kids went for cleaning my wife's boss is a dentist and we only went here because they were the only location that could get them in today. My wife and kids both had today off so we thought with all the good reviews that this place was going to great. Never again.

The best pediatric dentist office I have ever been in my life. Check in process is fast and easy, very nice enviornment for the children and parents, AMAZING staff, and very timely with the appointments. I have 4 children and my oldest just went today. I am very excited to bring in my others over the next 2 weeks for their appointments.

This office is truly a great place! I have 2 children with special needs. Drs and dentist appointments can be extremely overwhelming. I'm very lucky to have found this location. The staff are friendly and very helpful during our appointments. Everyone is genuinely nice, patient and accommodating to my children and I'm definitely thankful. It's also a kid friendly place with tons of activities, tablets and play areas that make it fun for the kids for their dental experience. I definitely recommend.

This is the worst place to try and get your children into for an appointment. I called a couple of months ago to schedule an appointment for both of my children and the lady proceeds to say “ We will only be able to see one child at a time” okay, so wait a couple of months later to try and schedule online, but after a week still no response, no phone call or anything. I called today to schedule an appointment, the lady acted as if she was irritated and did not want to schedule an appointment for my children basically saying things like “ Do you have their social security number? Because I’ll need that first” luckily I memorize my children information. The lady then proceeds to say well we are booked out pretty far! Like July 31, 2019 far. Okay, so parents if you’re looking to get an appointment with this place please schedule a year in advance.

I have only taken my children here and we absolutely love this place, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the waiting area is spacious with multiple play stations for different ages of children, they even a xbox and playstation that had fortnight on the other day. Would highly recommend anyone bring their children here.

Very friendly staff, however their approach for treatment of the small cavities on my child’s baby teeth (who is close to the age of losing them) was extremely aggressive (silver caps for 5 teeth was suggested). It would have been very costly, close to $2000 including insurance, and put her through a lot. After receiving TWO other opinions from respected pediatric dentist, we were told the same; that this suggested method was very unnecessary. If you have children with cavities, proceed with caution. If you don’t, then they provide a great atmosphere.

My kids love coming here!! The staff is so friendly and well informed! The building is always clean, never overcrowded, and welcoming. There's plenty of parking and the inside waiting area is spacious and very kid friendly for longer wait times. I love that I can schedule all three boys at the same time. The get to be seen simultaneously, which makes it great for us to get in and get out within the hour. I'll always recommend families in the Rutherford County are to come here!! Its the best!!

Since moving to La Vergne we have been bringing our son Jayce here and they are amazing. They are very helpful and understanding when explaining things to you. They are also amazing when working with our son to make sure he is comfortable while they do what they need to. The office is very nice and modern. Christy went above and beyond! Our apointment was 9am. Dueto insurance we had to reschedule - my ex didn't tell me until 8 pm ther night before. Already having the day off, Christy and I called the insurance on 3 conference call. Being transferred 3 times and dealing with them we were able to resolve the issue and still be seen the same day. Being a coordinator myself, I understand long phone calls can create a back log of work. She never sounded impatient, was reassuring and expressed compassion concern and drive to handle our situation. My daughter and I want to thank Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry, and as specially Christy for going above and beyond today.

Nice layout for kids to play but dental services sucks. Took my daughter for cleaning and all they did was to use a toothbrush without any flossing. Moreover, all seek for second opinion when they tell you your child has invisible cavities. It is now over two years I am still waiting for the cavity to appear.

Cumberland pediatric dentistry is a wonderful place. The staff is always super helpful and courteous, the doctors are awesome. They always explain everything in detail and make sure I sign off on all procedures. We love this dentist office. They also play movies on screens in the ceiling above dental chairs and in the waiting room.

Worst place ever. Brought my two kids a couple of weeks ago and waited about two hours to be seen. It took them five tries with my little 6 year old to get x-rays. They couldn't even properly do it, they saved it somewhere else and couldn't find it after either. Doctor comes in 30 minutes later and spends 30 seconds and she tells me they have 12 and 14 cavities each. I go up to schedule and they quote me a fee of $2000 something. I took them to my dentist and he mentioned that he would may be do 4 cavities on each one of my child at most which would cost me around $280. Never bringing kids here, feel it's too untrustworthy.

I came here for the first time. My 5 year old son didn’t enjoy his visit as well. Xrays were uncomfortable for him. But I feel like this is s typical chain dentist since most clients are covered by TennCare they doctors will find anyway to get fre money from the insurance company. Told me my 5 year old needed caps on back teeth top and bottom. Stated via xrays cavities were so deep to the gum line it was the only solution. They tried to force me to schedule an appointment for the procedure to be done. I went and got s second opinion guess what no caps needed stated my son had really little cavities that does not require caps at all and they only need to remove the cavity. Do not trust their opinion please get a second one if need be!

Great office staff!! Kristen went above and beyond to help me today! All of the hygienists are super friendly and personable. Dr.Jack has always been a favorite but today we saw Dr. Rucker and she did not disappoint. She is super friendly and patient. We would not hesitate to see her again, as well. The office is nice and clean. Over all we would highly recommend this office. So far, this has been, hands down, the best children's dentist experience that we have ever had.

The dentist did a really good job with my kid. I would like to say I am very disappointed at how the front staff handled their no eating policy. As a pregnant diabetic, I'm not saying that I'm in the right for eating food in the lobby but the fact that they watched someone else eat food before me and didn't say anything to that person makes me sure that they aren't really accommodating towards pregnant mothers. Won't be back again.

My son has EXTREME anxieties about the dentist. Like full blown panic attacks just pulling in the parking lot. Our last visit started out the same but by time we left the sweet lady working with my kiddo did such an awesome job calming his nerves he now wants to be a pediatric dentist so he can help other kids with anxiety like him. Beyond the front desk, the experience is usually positive and kid friendly. The doctors are great, but the reception staff has put us off enough during the last few visits to be considering a new pediatric dentist where the entire family feels welcome. Please don't make the mistake of bringing a bottle of water or cup of coffee with you, even if you have on your previous visits. As another review stated, the reception staff will aggressively address that before acknowledging your child or allow you to check in. My daughter was hiding behind me and concerned during the check in process because of the hostility and tone. I was told the cup could not enter the building, but I could leave it outside the door. If this new policy were clearly stated, it would not be as big of a deal. The front office staff still have their coffee mugs and travel cups at their desks, but parents are no longer allowed to bring anything in. There is one sign that has been recently added at reception stating "please no food or drink", but is not visible where you schedule the appointments and is not addressed on any sedation appointment paperwork. Had we known the policy had changed, we would have planned ahead instead of being attacked for bringing a drink for the parent waiting in the lobby for a visit that will last 3+ hours.

Terrible experience. On the first visit they were automatically frustrated with my son when they could not get an X-ray done correctly. He is only 4 years old and was having a hard time understanding how to hold his mouth properly. (You would assume that this wouldn't be an issue at a Pediatric office where they specialize in dealing with children.) By the second visit the hygienist was critical of my son and told me that he had a very "pushy" tongue. She even took it upon herself to recommend that I take him to the doctor because he had a cold. Making the assumption that I hadn't taken him to his Pediatrician already. And additionaly insulting me by asking if he has Asthma. If all of this wasn't bad enough, my son ended up having to have a procedure done, but they refused to allow me to go back with him!!! They were very unprofessional when scheduling the appointment because they did not mention that I would not be allowed to be with him during the procedure. (Although my child is only a toddler and had never experienced any type of dental procedure before, they were not willing to make any exceptions to their ridiculous rule.) They claim that it is a liability for parents to be in the room during a procedure, regardless of how young or scared the child might be. (And also that it makes the dentists uncomfortable.) Basically, they would rather your child be anxious and/or afraid rather than allow your presence to make them comfortable. Their rationale is that children need to learn to be unafraid while young because dental experiences as a child shape how they will think of them later in life. And that children are "stronger than you think. " To me it is insanely cruel and insensitive. They would rather allow your child to have a bad and potentially traumatic experience, rather than allow you to comfort them. Also, it puts the parent's mind at ease to know that their child is calm and comfortable. Because of their lack of professionalism, I wasn't even aware of their rule until 2 days before the produce when I took it upon myself to call and ask! (It was not noted on any if the paperwork.) Of course I ended up canceling the procedure as soon as I was made aware. Had I not asked, then I would have taken him out of school, etc. for no reason at all. The facility is nice, new and clean, but their customer service is quite poor. They do not have your child's best interest at heart. The comfortability of the dentists is their primary concern. Obviously, they do not care that much about dental health because if they did, they would do whatever necessary (within reason) to make the children comfortable. Especially allowing a parent to be present during a procedure. The bottom line is I WOULD NOT recommend Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry to anyone, ESPECIALLY parents with small children.

The building is very nice! Staff friendly for the most part. Took good care of my little girl and did a great job. However be careful not to bring any outside food or drink in....they will come at you like you have just murdered someone (I get why they don’t want you to after she said it however the office manager or whomever she was can have some tact when they alert you....signs out regarding that would be nice also when you are waiting over 2 hours for your kids procedure or noted on paperwork would be nice also! She was extremely rude and aggressive...like she assumed we should know.....which obviously we didn’t and if we had would not have!)
