Can't believe I look forward to going to a dentist but I do! I never did until I started at this office years ago! Annettte is my hygenist and she rocks!!! Dr hochcauser is really great too, very funny and makes you feel comfortable! The whole staff is amazing and I look forward to my check ups!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I scheduled an appointment online and got a confirmation email for my appointment a couple days later; however when I arrived they said the appointment wasn’t on their schedule and I would have to reschedule it. Horrible customer service.

They do not discuss the fees and money prior to service. They should not charge for two exams within 72 hrs if The first doctor did not do anything worth charging for. They should ask the patient if they want a partial exam or a full exam. As a new patient I requested a new patient appt for which I was scheduled for a problem focused appt then charged for new patient a second time. Knowing that a patient is already nervous and extremely anxious about her visit to your clinic and then be told by the front desk worker that she should go home and sleep off the valium in a demeaning and belittling fashion is not dignity. I had a right to now prior to service done what I would be charged for and I was escorted out by police because I questioned why I was being charged, then my medical record denied to me and no written statement of refund. I assure you that I have contacted many agencies in regards to this gross unethical and traumatizing experience which may cause lasting damage to my mental well being and health. This is an injustice of a grand proportion and I will be sure to be heard. Is it because I am Hispanic? Is it because I was in some way mean or rude to someone? because if so I was unaware I had been. But I deserve dignity and respect and should not have had the police called simply because I asked to know why I am being charged twice and why didnt anyone inform me of the amount owed prior to arriving today. Was that a good enough reason to be spoken to in such away or have the police called to escort me off property after being instructed to take mind altering drugs in a high dose, then put out on the street with no regards to my well being. You all who participated in this should be ashamed of your selfs. And yes I walked back to the back of the office looking for someone to speak to only after being told to go home as though I was a junkie acting crazy. Again this could have been avoided with communication and understanding. Instead I was faced with the worse of odds. Shame on you American Family Dentistry. God Bless you All.

They are so disrespectful.. I been spitting up pus for a week she said it's normal. Went to the hospital almost died.. Terrible do not go to this dentist!!!!!!!

I got dental implants for my lateral incisors done at the AFD in Germantown. The original crowns were not the right shape or color, and I was very upset. After contacting AFD in Germantown they said I could go to the Raleigh location and Dr. Hochhauser would see what options we had. Dr. Hochhauser and his assistant were very sympathetic and helpful. I had to wait a couple weeks but they got replacement crowns and even brought the lab tech in. The 2nd set of crowns matched the color now but were still the wrong shape. We scheduled another appointment and this time the 3rd set of crowns were perfect. Dr. Hochhauser and AFD really worked with me to make sure everything was resolved.

Annette is my hygienist! She always does a great job! Dr. Hochauser is great too! I love my Raleigh dentist office! I look forward to going!

Professional and comfortable environment. Clean facility. Staff has longevity and works well as a team. Receptionists are friendly. Dental care is 5 star from Dr. Hochhauser, his dental assistants and dental hygienists.

Until now I have been a patient at American Family Dentistry for 6 years. I will NEVER do business with them again. Yesterday after waiting in their office for almost an hour to be seen for an appointment that I arrived on time for I had two teeth extracted. The procedure went fine, but I was given a prescription for a pain medication that is no longer on the market. I discovered this on Friday after the office was closed. I called their after hours number and nobody returned my call. I then called a different location to see if one of their dentists could write a prescription for something that is actually still manufactured. I was abruptly told, "No, you'll have to go back to the Raleigh office on Monday." Even veterinarians don't work on animals and not give them anything for pain. To tell a human being, basically, suck it up and deal with the pain for three days is inexcusable!!! I am not a drug addict trying to get drugs. I am a PATIENT trying to get relief from pain their procedure caused. I will take my business to a practice that actually cares about their patient's well-being!!!!

My daughters and I had a nice experience here. The lady at the front desk was very kind, the hygienists (Erika & Annette) and the doctor (Brian) were very professional. Erika was super gentle, she made me feel comfortable and relaxed, while she was doing the cleaning. I am satisfied with the excellent service we received and I highly recommend the American Family Dentistry. Thank you!
