This is the best dental office in Nashville! We have been going to them for years! They are so welcoming and personal, and care about building relationships with their patients. I get extremely nervous at the dentist, and they did everything to make me feel calm and safe. They gave me a blanket and pillow to make me feel comfortable and the front desk ladies continuously came back to check in on me. I can’t recommend them enough! Advanced Dental Healthcare is and has been my dental care provider for over 10 years. Dr. Clay Cummings and his staff of hygienists have taken excellent care of me and my teeth. I have always felt their office provided conservative care...not recommending unnecessary procedures and costs. They help my smile to be as bright as possible! Scheduling appointments has always been easy and convenient. Typically their office runs a tight ship...appointments are "on time." Dr Cummings was especially helpful to me when I had a dental "emergency"...an infection in "old dental work" (not done by him) led to fever. He saw me right away and and (long story --short) helped remediate the complex problem. I know Dr Cummings to be an accomplished expert in dentistry, but more than that he is a gentleman of integrity...someone you can trust with confidence.

Before going to Advanced Dental Health I would rather re-roof a house in July than go to the dentist. Dr. Cummings has such a funny personality that I don't dread going to see him. I adore every person in this office. When I come in for services with my 3-month-old in tow, she gets passed around and loved on by every last hygienist and assistant while I'm in the chair. My 2-year-old came for his cleaning and loved it. He still talks about the mask he got to wear in the chair and the motorcycle he picked out from the treasure chest. They have gone above and beyond time and again. Green Hills is not my favorite place to navigate to from East Nashville, but I'll never switch dentists. We're so well taken care of.

I was carrying my 3 year old and her teddybear so Lisa from the front desk hurried out to open the door for me before I was even to the top step. Went to this quack about 7 years ago, he told me I needed teeth pulled and got an attitude when I said no. I Still have the teeth today and they are healthy. Just got served court papers for what I dont know. He did nothing but clean my teeth and the insurance covered that. I never recieved a bill or seen paperwork on what he supposedly did. Dont recommend him to anyone.

I can't lie. I had high hopes based on the Google reviews (although I should have consulted all of the review sites). I was very disappointed with my first visit to Advanced Dental Health Center. I have gone to the dentist every 6 months since I was a young child, so I am not one to neglect my dental health. Imagine my surprise when after consistent dental care, I came to ADHC and was told that I had 6 cavities to fill and needed to get a night guard because I had been grinding my teeth "down to the dentin." Furthermore, to completely solve my issues of grinding my teeth, I would need to get Invisalign to realign my teeth (a total out-of-pocket bill for all recommended work of $7449.12). When this information was presented to me, Dr. Cummings was very defensive of tone and said very unkind things about any of my past dental care (the words "shame on them!" were used. I didn't like the high-pressure sales pitch I was getting (or the gold-star seller Invisalign stickers plastered on the door) so I consulted two other dentists about the recommended work. Both agreed that none of it was necessary. Beware--Dr. Cummings may be a skilled dentist, but he is a shrewd businessman first.

Honest. That's my one-word review of Dr. Cummings and his staff. I could talk about how knowledgeable they are and their high level of professionalism, and it would be true, but that should be the standard when you go to a dentist. The thing that really gets me is the fact fact that Dr. Cummings is a man of character. Let's face it: choosing a dentist for many of us is like choosing a mechanic. We know that there are good, honest ones out there, but many of us have had bad experiences (or know someone who has) that left us with a bad taste in our mouth (no pun intended) because we had to make a quick decision based on fear because we didn't know or didn't have time to get a second opinion or second guess the situation. Advanced Dental Health Center is completely different. There have been several occasions where Dr. Cummings recommended to not do something because it wasn't essential or because he felt it wasn't worth the expense. He genuinely works to the best interest of your health. I trust Dr. Cummings and his staff and am thrilled to have found him.
