This place was awesome. They did a good job and were very kind and helpful. My only issue was there was some confusion with the insurance which ended up with me owing lot of money. I was paying what I could and had every intention of paying them back (which I no longer owe money) but the regular phone calls (which are understandable) weren't very friendly. They weren't happy with how much and how often I was paying even though it was fairly regular. Otherwise the service was great and they are good people but I will be finding another dentist. EDITED TO ADD : The reason I gave 3 stars has nothing to do with the insurance and I never said it did. I gave 3 stars because of the animosity I received through the phone calls trying to collect your money. Yes, I did receive payments from the insurance company. I had several visits to your office before I received my first bill and I had asked more than once if I needed to pay anything and the reply was no, and something was said about the insurance. I didn't say my owing you money was your fault. When I got my first bill, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was over $1000. That's not something I can just shell out, especially when I'm raising a family and also have other medical bills to make payments on. It had also been awhile since I received the payments and that money I received from the insurance had already been spent elsewhere. I was sending money and doing what I could after I got the first bill. I was too anxious to get dental care while I owed you money and now have a hole in my tooth and other tooth pain, which is very unfortunate. I am glad you called because it shows you care about your business. Your staff was awesome and helpful, that's not why you got a 3 start review. I'm not sure why you feel the need to add in the quotations on those words. So overall the reason I gave 3 stars is due to the animosity I felt over the phone and the way I was treated that paying what I could was not good enough. Thank you.

I needed to have some work done before I got married. We were on a little bit of a time crunch. The staff did everything in their power to make sure we got it done in time. I have only been to one dentist my whole life, so having to make a switch was hard. I was hesitant to go somewhere else, but my husband had always gone to Dr. Carlson. Once the switch came of the new dentist I thought maybe it was time to get in. I was extremely impressed with the all around good nature and atmosphere of Lone Oak Dental. All of the staff are friendly, caring, and concerned about your visit while being in their office. Dr. Brad is easy to talk to and get to know as well as he is concerned about the main objective: your teeth! I would recommend this dentist to anyone seeking a dentist in the Brookings and surrounding areas. I feel very comfortable at Lone Oak Dental and I know they have my well being in their best interest.

Lone Oak, previously Family Dentistry with Dr. Dan Carlson, is an awesome office! I don't have much experience elsewhere, but when I hear horror stories from family and friends, I am confident I don't need to go anywhere else. First of all, Dr. Carlson was an amazing dentist who retired and found an incredible person, Dr. Jordan, to replace him! I have been with this office for years and was hesitant to return because of the switch of doctors. I figured I would at least give it a try and I could not be more impressed with Dr. Jordan's insistence of perfection, friendliness, and all around good feel! Not only is Dr. Jordan awesome, but the rest of the staff there is also a great asset! In fact, The same ortho-assistant(is this the best word/phrase?) was awesome when I had braces many years ago and I'm sure she's only become more refined! All the hygienists are great and have been with this same office for many years! Everyone there is always so nice, friendly, and accommodating! They take the time to know you, they always recognize me when I come in! I never feel as though I'm being over charged for any service. I have two crowns and can barely tell; they just feel like my old teeth! If you want sedation dentistry, I don't know if they offer this, but you wouldn't need it here; they are so nice and make you feel comfortable despite the chilly air! Nothing to worry about! I can honestly say I would recommend Lone Oak/Dr. Jordan to anyone in the Brookings area! I wouldn't drive an hour and a half for my dental work if I didn't truly believe this! You read it, I live in IOWA and travel to Brookings (through Sioux Falls) because of the excellent care they deliver!

I walked into this dental clinic shaking with anxiety. I've spent 15 years avoiding any dental care because of my fears. I expected to leave this office with my fears still in tact, and probably in pain... I was so very wrong. All of my concerns were met with absolute understanding and patience. Dr. Jordan extracted my tooth so painlessly, I didn't believe him when he said it was done. From the receptionist, to the amazing tech, to Dr. Jordan himself, this is a team of people committed to giving the highest quality of care to their patients. I left this dental clinic shocked that I had found a dentist that I'm not afraid to return to. I have had the misfortune of having my first two teeth that needed root canals this year. As frustrating as that can be the team at Lone Oaks was great, they got me in right away, both times, right be for busy weekends. By far the best dentist I have ever been to! As an out of state college student I wanted to make sure that I found a dentist out here, so that I didn't have to go home every time I needed work done. I couldn't have made a better choice. Dr Jordan and his staff are so friendly and informative with everything they do. Dr. Jordan sure knows his stuff. I can say I personally have always hated the dentist, until coming to Loan Oak. I had a root canal done a while back and actually fell asleep the pain was so little, and didn't even need ibuprofen after. Dr. Jordan really cares about the patient's comfortability both during and after the procedure. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I have never been comfortable going to the dentist. Because of this, I avoided going at all. Five years of avoiding the dentist led me to google reviews of local dentists and Lone Oak Dental was leading the pack. Dr. Jordan and his team went above and beyond to keep me comfortable every step of the way. Great service from receptionist , hygienist and Dr. Cold called as first time customer and they had both my wife and I in by the next week and had cavity fillings scheduled by the week after that. Friendly, professional help from both the hygienist and Dr for the cleaning and when getting cavities filled. Explained what they were doing and why and were very deliberate in making sure there was no pain during the procedure at all. Highly recommend. EDIT: I dropped it one star because of what seemed like a weird billing process. We paid the day of what we were led to think was our whole bill only to later receive a bill in the mail for almost the same amount we originally paid the day of. Turns out you are charged for an “estimate” they guess you will owe before running anything through insurance. Makes it feel like they try and get as much out of you as possible right away. Now, to be clear, they didn’t over charge. I just feel like either there should be no money exchanged until after insurance has been deducted (especially in our case where we have two insurances and they billed us before the second even applied) or they need to clearly communicate that it’s not the full amount and let you decide if you want to pay an estimate ahead of the actual bill. Still recommend their services , just wish billing was handled in a less off putting way.

I'm absolutely am scared to death going to the dentist. Had a bad experience when I was a kid. When I was told I needed to have a tooth pulled I wasn't sure I'd be able to cope. The staff was so caring and attentive to my needs as was Dr. Brad Jordan. Dr. Jordan prescribed something for my anxiety prior to the appointment and along with the nitrous oxide and novacain, it was over before I knew it and I didn't feel a thing while he extracted my tooth. And, too top things off I had a call from him that evening to check and see how I was doing. I'd highly recommend Dr. Jordan. He's the best!!

I came in on an off day, but even then the dentist was quite willing to make me an appointment. The overall work was great, I don't notice the filling unless I really look and stare at my teeth. During the filling he said "wait, i want to do something a little more, I'm a perfectionist", so that gave me good confidence in the fillings and the workmanship. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and I ended up paying much less then I thought I would for two fillings, one of which was especially nasty that I thought would cost me much more. Great dentist.

I am extremely happy with Lone Oak. The staff is so kind, as is Dr. Brad. I feel like they’re truly in the business of helping people, rather than simply trying to make as much money as possible. They’re honest, forthright, and caring. To clarify the 4 star rating (as opposed to 5 stars), the facility itself is cramped and I didn’t care for the music they played. Those are very superficial and personal things though, so as far as care, technology, and people- 5 stars. I highly recommend!
