I want to preface by saying I think they thought this was the right course of action. But we travelled several hours to this location to get my 1 month old infant’s “tongue tie” revised. His symptoms we discovered however were not due to tongue tie but laryngeal cleft and aspiration due to this. At times it’s best to say “No” to performing a procedure when other avenues have not yet been investigated. I feel this is what should have been done. Ultimately we thought this was our fix and it delayed our process of finding out what was really happening.

Nice dentist and staff, but their billing department is awful. You are penalized for setting up a payment plan with fees just because you can't afford the full balance. Even if youake regular payments that were agreed upon, you still get charged.

I have been going to see Dr. Ed and his staff for almost ten years. I have had lots of different types of work done, from routine cleanings to fillings, root canals, and crowns. I have always felt comfortable, taken care of, and not judged for the appearance of my teeth. Amanda is an excellent hygienist and always makes me feel at home, remembers me and my family and always asks for updates. Vicki has been such a wonderful help in figuring out payment and the best plan for my treatment. Overall, I can't recommended Dr Kusek and his office for treatment highly enough.

I would give dr. Kusek a 5 star review. The procedure was awesome and just what we needed. However, our overall experience was a 1 star. The billing department is very difficult to work with. They did not work well, nor communicate well with our health share company and us. We were told multiple times we would not be charged late fees because we were working with insurance and then we’d get a bill with late fees attached. We called their office to discuss it and left a message only to be told they never got our message. Health share company experienced the same thing. Unfortunately because of this experience I will be using and recommending another dentist. Dr. Kusek is amazing but be prepared for a long drawn out nightmare if you don’t self pay everything up front.

I have worked with Kusek Dental in two separate occasions and while the staff is nice the billing process both times has been horrible, drug out, and not as communicated. I will never recommend this clinic from the billing headache this caused on two separate occasions over the course of 3 years. What a nightmare. We are very familiar with medical billing, processes, etc. and I have never dealt with a provider having such a messed up billing process. It doesn’t matter how good the visit is if there is a nightmare that comes for years after trying to handle the billing portion itself.

To Dr Kusek and the entire staff at Family & Implant Dentistry, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, I just wanted to make sure I had it on record, how wonderful I think you have all been. As you are all aware I came to you with years of neglected dental problems. Previous bad, painful and hospitalizing experiences had developed in too a serious fear and avoidance of all things dental. Finally with no other choice my wife found you folks. The experience has been nothing short of a miracle, and I don’t use that word lightly. The shame of my previous neglect was an emotional issue I had to deal with in addition to the work that needed and needs to be done. Yet each visit has been an experience I will tell friends about for years, you have treated me with respect, restored my confidence in your profession and given me hope for a future free of dental pain. Your skills, procedures, patience and understanding have truly made all my trips to your office a wonderful experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will tell people it is worth flying into Sioux Falls from anywhere in the country just to have your staff take care of their dental problems.
