Terrible customer service. When I first called, I informed the lady I needed an emergency appt. to fix a broken tooth. She told me. "Yes, we can get you in to get that fixed." When I got there, they couldnt find my insurance, and told me I'd have to pay out of pocket. They wanted to charge me $188 just for the doctor to tell me yes or no if he could fix it or not on top of what else he would charge if he could fix it. I ended up not even getting seen and am still in pain with a broken tooth. I will never recommend anyone to visit this establishment.

I would have to agree with "no name" - I couldn't believe all the work needed by this office compared to our old dentist. Not only are their prices much higher, they were very misleading on costs after insurance - ended up twice what was quoted. No WAY are we going back....very nice new building, but no thanks!

Wonderful Doctor Lisa with Loving Heart Our family have a wonderful time at this dental clinic, you can tell they do care & love their customers, from the lobby with drinks provided, with beautiful color napkins to attentive bathroom's good soap & lotion. Dr Lisa is wonderful with kids, I really appreciate her taking time to see my kids, the dental hygienists Jenni & Rebecca are wonderful, I kept praising them as they are so polite & just awesome !!! If there are 10 stars, i will give them 10. Impressive customer services in Rapid City !!! Their facility are really beautiful, lobby has a kid play area. You can tell this clinic is really attentive to details, I wanna especially thank dental hygienist Jenni for making the dental check-up for my kid as comfortable as possible, she also turns on cartoons for him, and comfort him while he is crying. She even proactively ask if he wanna use a chapstick coz maybe he kept licking while cleaning & his lips become dry. You will not find other places like that in RC. I'm so glad they lead by examples. Dr Lisa is wonderful & very personable, she tells my kids once that brushing teeth is important better than me telling them 10 million times. Dental hygienist Rebecaa is also wonderful, she kept encouraging my younger kid to stay put, and hold his little hand to make him feel comfortable while Dr Lisa count his teeth. The staffs also reward kids with a prize at the end of the visit so my kids are really happy. Those little things goes a long way to let customers know they do appreciate their business. Not many places treat people well nowadays. I'm IMPRESS ! BIG PRAISE to everyone in this clinic !! Beautiful location, beautiful interior, kind heart staffs, Dr Lisa, Dr Joe & Dr Dan. We have met all of them and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of them <3 It's very touching to see how caring they are. Even the front table staff, they are wonderful at giving paper to excuse kids from school (not giving a bad look when asked like some other places think it's an inconvenient to them) I LOVE THIS DENTAL PLACE !!!! They also have automatic system to send text to phone to remind you the appointments, and they have those stickers to tell you your next appointments. We have 3 more appointments for tooth filling, Donna is helpful to choose the latter time for us so kid won't have to miss school too much. Appreciated :) BY THE WAY, i love their theme NEON GREEN color !!

I have been to many different dentists over the course of my lifetime and I have to say that the Kieffer dental experience tops them all. There is no way to quite describe it except as exemplary service from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you check out. The waiting area is beautiful, welcoming, clean and just makes you smile with its creative and fun room for kids and pampering drink area for all guests. And that is how you feel, like a welcome guest at a fun spa center, not a medical client. The receptionists are warm, knowledgeable and friendly. There are touches everywhere of fun and creativity with the traveling sock wall and kids jumping about waiting for parents. However, the best part is the state of the art and highly proficient dental work they give. No more nasty cardboard in your mouth for photos. Instead their cameras and mouth pieces fit comfortably for different sized mouths. While getting my teeth cleaned I was able to enjoy a beautiful view. The dentist and dental hygienist were incredibly knowledgeable about my teeth and offered options no other dentist had given me before in both preventative measures as well as tooth up keep. I would rate Kieffer family dental as a 5 stars in every aspect of Dental service.

I broke a front tooth and Dr. Kieffer bonded it 5 years ago. It still looks great today! The bad reviews under here are bogus. I'm questioning if they were even written by actual patients. In order to get kicked out of a dental practice you have to miss multiple appointments or do something really sketchy. Trying to imply Dr. Kieffer falsely diagnosed some work is a blatant lie. His quality of character surpasses tactics like that and his office is so busy he would never need to do that anyway. Kieffer Dental is one of the top practices in Rapid City. I feel like I am a good judge of quality of care (being a dentist myself) and I know Dr. Kieffer does some top notch work.

I brought both my kids in for cleanings and exams and we had a WONDERFUL experience! Everyone at the office was very professional, kind and positive. My kids actually enjoyed going to the dentist! The office is very clean and set-up to make adults and children feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this office!

I don't trust this place. They overcharge on everything...milking the system and your benefits...then claim the insurance only paid x amount and want more payment over what they have already collects. I have seen any place take as many X-rays as they do, and then still misdiagnosis a cavity...was not a cavitity, but they went ahead and applied sealant instead without asking permission, and it was a good to have but not needed. Again, I don't trust this place.

They start out friendly, but with my families experience if you don't agree with their plan of care and have a different opinion then you better find a new actually "Family" dentist. I'm keeping this short, but please shop around, they are NOT family friendly and seem money hungry! I was ready to leave them a few months back when we had a issue and decided to give them one more chance. I left very upset and told them we would go else where, well not even 20 minutes after I left, the business managed called me telling me they would no longer see our family anymore!! He didn't even ask for my side of the story or try to make it right.
