Dunes Dental 4 Kids is a friendly, inviting environment for kids and parents! My son has been going to see Dr. Jeff Howenstein since he was 1. Each time the nurses, office staff, and Dr. Howenstein are helpful and patient; they take the time to answer any questions I have. Of course my son's favorite part is getting a balloon at the end of his appointment!

My niece went and seen Dr. Howenstein for the first time and she was upset we had to leave she actually had fun at the dentist which is such a good thing for a child. The receptionist Hannah was so friendly and accommodating for my schedule. Definitely recommend Dunes Dental 4 Kids. Especially since my niece thinks it’s a treat to come here and instantly LOVED Dr. Howenstein and staff.

My daugher had a lot of tooth pain this weekend. It got so bad one night that we called the emergency number for her dentist @ Dunes Dental 4 Kids. We spoke with her dentist, Dr. Hemmingsen, and were able to make it the rest of the weekend. Before we hung up he told me to call back if she was still in pain, after we tried what he told us to, and we would discuss other options including, going in to the office during the middle of the night. I have no doubt they would have made arrangements if we would have called back. Since we made it through the weekend, we called in this morning when they opened, our daughter reminded us by telling us her tooth was starting to hurt again. The office was able to squeeze us in and get our daughter fixed up. During the procedures the professionalism and bedside manner were awesome. Dr. Hemmingsen walked her mother and our child through everything. The kids have been going to Dunes Dental 4 Kids for awhile and this proved that was the best choice we could have made for our children's teeth.

They worked so well with me and my son. Traveled 6 hours from Rapid City here to receive care that he would have had to wait a month for otherwise. Dr. Hemmingsen was by far the best experience we have had with a dentist. Very patient, understanding, and efficient. Rapid would only do the work on my son under general anesthesia, Dr. Hemmingsen did it all under just nitrous oxide. So thankful the clinic fit me in. So thankful for Dr. Hemmingsen. Wish there were dentists with his demeanor in my area.

Their new facility in the dunes is amazing, feels like you’re walking into a toy store from a book, kids all about the kids, and making them feel safe and comfortable. The doctors personalities and demeanor are so soft and kind and empathetic. You feel safe and taken care of. I feel really lucky we have this place in Dakota Dunes just minutes from our home. Even if I lived across town I would drive a long way to be here.
