I cannot say enough good things about Tia! She was my hygienist at my first experience at Dakota Dental. She created a comfortable experience and set me at ease during an appointment that normally sets me a bit on edge. Kim at the front desk was courteous and welcomed me. Dr. Kappenman explained what needed to be done in future appointments in a straight forward manner and made me feel welcome too. I have confidence entrusting my dental health and the well being of my family's to Dakota Dental.

Our young daughter knocked out a tooth on a Saturday afternoon and Dr. Tim was nice enough to open the office for us and take care of it so she could keep her tooth. Great work and professional.

I began going to Dakota Dental when I was 4. Now I'm almost 44. About ten years ago, I moved from Sioux Falls to San Diego. But I am sure to come back twice a year for my check ups because the dentists and hygienists at Dakota Dental are professional, friendly and most of all kind.

I have had a lot of Dental Trauma in my childhood so finding a dentist is always a challenge. Dakota Dental as recommended to us when we moved her 11 years ago and we couldn’t be happier. The staff are all so patient and accommodating. They are gentle and the cleaning/exam is quick and easy.

My experience was the worst ever at this place. I was given wrong information multiple times and kept being told different things by different people. I paid what I was told was the balance in full the day I had my wisdom teeth pulled. Then they turned around and mailed out a bill saying I owed them more almost 2 months later! I do NOT recommend this place to ANYONE, they give you a run around and instead of trying to fix a problem make excuse after excuse.

Everyone at Dakota Dental is very professional. Most business/healthcare employees are. I trust that the doctors are at the top of their field, and they work hard to make great solutions, especially with my difficult dental problems. Where Dakota Dental is above other practices, I feel, is the way they engage patients. The front desk staff, hygienists, techs, dentists-all are very friendly. This is a three-generation family-owned and run business, and I feel that commitment in the way they interact with me. They are also famously great with kids! We have gone to this practice for over 30 years. I highly recommend. Dakota Dental to anyone. They will take great care of you!

Great and friendly staff. They have never made me wait long or ignored if I was uncomfortable. I would recommend them over any other place around just for the fact how nice and organized they are. The great work they do and how they listen to the patient just makes going here a easy choice.

For the sake of my teen's privacy, I would like to keep this review fairly vague. But, Dakota Dental (all staff members) went above and beyond to accommodate us in a very difficult situation with our special needs teen. Even with some challenges on our end, they were never less than friendly and professional and made what would have normally been a challenging procedure an easy day that he looked forward to. We drive a significant way to do our son's dental work here and plan to continue to do that because of the care and caring we have rec'd.

They are wonderful with kids. Great bedside manner from the dental hygienists and dentists. Also, I've had serious work done myself (crowns, and fillings) and they make it as painless as possible. Also, good quality work with the temps, crowns, and fillings.

If I could give them 1 star, I would. Their telemarketers call my office every day offering whitening services. I have told them at least 3 times to stop and put us on the do not call list. I have spoke with the IT manager and it still hasn't improved. What kind of dental office treats people they want as patients this way? Is this a sales office or dentists? They will never get my business.

If I could give Dakota Dental 0 stars, I absolutely would! I have went to this dental office since I was 3 years old, which would now be 21 years of me being a patient. I now have a daughter of my own who is 2.5, I started to bring her here as a patient. I am a busy mom and had to reschedule appointments a couple different times due to my busy schedule. When I called to reschedule and get a bill taken care of that they overcharged me on, I was told my DAUGHTER could no longer be seen as a patient due to too many cancellations. I was not informed by a letter, phone call, or anything that she could no longer go, which I find VERY unprofessional. I found a new dental office for the both us. I had bonding break on a tooth and my new office could not get me in, I figured I would try to contact them and see if they were able to fit me in to fix the bonding. I was told that they would need to check with Dr. Schuler’s schedule and I would get a call back. I called later in the afternoon and spoke with the office manager Travis and he said he still needs to talk with her and call me back. I called again, 24 hours later, to be told I was no longer able to a patient either. He gave me no explanation what so ever and said “there was a lack of communication”. The month previously he specifically said I could come but not my daughter. I think Dakota Dental provides horrible customer service and their communication is awful. I would not recommend ANYONE going there.
