When my family began searching for an orthodontist, we interviewed several providers in the area. Several of them recommended immediate extractions and potential implants for our daughter. Although this seemed like an appropriate solution at the time, we decided to try one last orthodontist...Dr. Crist. As we arrived at Crist Orthodontics, we were greeted with friendly, knowledgable staff and the most amazing orthodontist ever. As Dr. Crist entered the consultation room, he looked me straight in the eyes and said, "I understand you have had other consultations. I don't want to know who you saw or what they told you. I will explain my opinion and you can decide from there." He continued by talking directly to my 10-year-old child, explaining the plan he had in mind and even drawing pictures so she could envision the process better. Following the explanation to my child, Dr. Crist turned to me to see if I had any questions. I was thoroughly impressed with his professional demeanor, attentiveness to my child and in-depth explanation of the proposed plan of care. Obviously, we chose to work with Dr. Crist and his amazing staff...the results for BOTH children have been unbelievable and we did NOT need implants!! Thanks for all you do for your patients and their families!

We started searching for an orthodontist last spring and visited Crist and Wenande at the recommendation of our dentist. The staff and doctors were very friendly and extremely helpful. They are busy at the Yankton site, so rather than wait for an appointment, we traveled to Sioux Falls where we had an immediate appointment. They were understanding that we couldn't start treatment immediately and were very accommodating to delaying until the new year. I'm looking forward to continuing with them and feel they will work to provide superior treatment for my son while providing reasonable financial terms.

After a long or stressful day of school I can get a little bit crabby but if I have an orthodontist appointment I get a little less stressed and by the time I get there it's amazing. The longest I've had to wait for my appointment has been no longer than 5 minutes and I've gone many times. They treat with the upmost respect and always get right to work. I highly recommend their services.

He took the time to talk with us, explaining the treatment he recommended, and taking care to get to know us and our expectations. He made us feel very welcome, comfortable, and that our opinion matters. He also got right to work and adjusted our son's braces. He is very competent, and you can tell that he knows what he is doing. On the drive home, our son commented that he really likes his new orthodontist. We do too!
