I miss the way things were ran when Dr. Opp was in charge! These girls behind the desk have one heck of an attitude and it seems they are trying to compete as to who has more power. I have decided not to come back and I am finding a new dentist, which I hate doing. I absolutely will miss my hygentist! She was fantastic!There's no other option at this point! And to top it off, the new dentist takes more sick days than what a 7 year old with explosive diarrhea takes off of school!

Aberdeen Smiles is only receiving one star from me because I cannot give zero stars. I was a patient while this office was run by Dr. Opp and left because of the constant up selling of unnecessary procedures and products. I returned recently only to receive an invisalign quote, with the plans of keeping my current dentist for dental visits. With Dr. Opp no longer being the owner, I was optimistic about having a more positive experience for orthodontic treatment through Aberdeen Smiles. When calling to schedule my appointment, I asked a variety of questions and confirmed that I would be able to come in for a no-cost invisalign consultation appointment to get an idea of overall cost for the treatment, if I decided to pursue it. The receptionist confirmed that I would be able to come in and receive a quote at no cost if I brought in the mailer coupon from them. After arriving and completing general paperwork, I was brought back to the hygienist room where the hygienist began to question my dental hygiene based on their records of me not being in their office for 2 years. Her assumptions of me not taking care of my teeth and not brushing regularity without even looking at my teeth or asking when my last dental visit was, was extremely rude. After I clarified that I receive regular dental check-ups and cleanings and brush regularly at home, I was notified that I would be charged $100 for the consultation visit and that they would not be able to give me a quote without a charge. I stated that I was informed on the phone that I would be able to present the $100 off mailer coupon and have a no-cost consultation visit in order to get the quote. I was then taken to their finance assistant where she explained to me that she was misinformed and gave me the wrong information on the phone. She had know that she gave me the wrong information, however she did not call me to inform me of this before I wasted my time going in for the appointment. I had also shared my budget information on the phone with her prior to coming in, she would not share any costs at that time which I understood. However, while in her office she showed me the average base costs for 12 months and 6 months and they were much higher than I told her I was willing to budget for a few cosmetic fixes. In my opinion, you should save your time and money and not bother with Aberdeen Smiles. Drive a little further down the road and get a completely free no-cost consultation appointment with a full, accurate quote from VanLaecken Orthodontics... which is what I would have done in the first place. If you're searching for regular dental care, Aberdeen Dental Associates is beyond amazing in customer service and dental care.

The staff here was amazing with my 4 year old daughter. She has only been to dentist once before and she screamed the entire time the first time. She went in to get a checkup and her teeth cleaned and they made her so comfortable she didn't even cry. Then she had to go back and get a filling and a tooth pulled and they were also very amazing. They were so great with her and I will ALWAYS bring my children here because of the great staff and how well they treat the children!

My dental hygienists are always nice on every visit. This particular visit I had Melissa. I almost couldn't tell she was cleaning my teeth! Melissa was so gentle and on top of that very nice! Horrible experience. My nightmare started in April 2018. I was still in pain as a result of your dentist at the Harlingen location experimenting on me by using a new sealent that fell out next day while I was out of town. I had to drive back from Corpus Christi as a result ruining my weekend for starters. From there things just kept getting worse. After it was refilled the same dentist put way more sealant then needed, even after I went back three additional times and re- polished I was still in pain and told her so, she seemed frustrated and irritated with me at that point. I heard she is no longer with your pratice anymore. Your entire office staff appeared irritated with me at this point I didn't care. They were not irritated or frustrated when it came to billing my insurance. Fast forward they directed me to your Mcallen office, I guess in hopes of getting rid of me. I met with a bit warmer reception there. The dentist was nicer. Your office staff not much. Two trips for the same issues , its now September mind you. He informed me my bite was still off and he re- polished two more times. I was starting to feel less pain and was able to finally eat with the right side of my mouth, only soft foods mind you. In October I FINALLY gave up and called Dr. Eric Valle in Brownsville. Needless to say in one appoint with him, he resolved my issue. If I could rate you with zero stars I would believe me.

We just moved to Aberdeen South Dakota about a month and a half ago and we had our first dental appointment here. It was for my three kids and myself and we were even late to the appointment but they were SO filled with grace and understanding. The way that they treat and greet you there is top notch. I was in awe to have a hand paraffin wax done, and a chair with heat and a massager. I have never had an experience like that. I felt like I was at a spa. They explained things in great lengths to my husband and I in regards to our kiddos, as well as myself. What a great way to start my day. I couldn’t recommend them more. They go above and beyond in their jobs and perform excellence there. Thank you Aberdeen Smiles!

I have been a customer of Aberdeen Smiles for over 14 years and continued with regular cleanings and X-Rays after Dr Opp retired. After my 3rd visit I received a billing for $57. I called Aberdeen Smiles, spoke to the receptionist and was told they charge over and above what is ordinary and customary. I reviewed my cleaning and X-Rays were 100% covered by my dental insurance and asked if the additional charge could be waived and they said no, that they are perfectly within their legal rights to charge additional charges. I believe they should let their customers know this before hand. I feel very deceived by Aberdeen Smiles billing practices and want to let as many people know about this as I can.

Took my son for his first visit, yesterday. We were both at ease, the clinic and it's employees are kind and professional, and the clinic itself very clean and calming. The hygenist was great, very good with explaining what she was doing and considerate of any curiosities he had. The dentist, Dr. Fettig was also great, calm and professional, straightforward and told me things other dentists never have (like his very slight overnigh is not a problem, but he does have one). Luckily he has no cavities, so he got to have his picture taken and be on the no cavities wall. I love that they do something special to promote good dental hygiene with kids. Even my son said several times, "This was my bestest dentist appointment ever!" He can't wait to go back and see his pal, Tammy.
