I wanted to write about my experience with Dr. Koutros and his entire staff at Spartan Dental. Dr. Koutros always explains what he is going to do before the procedures and is always friendly and takes great pride in his profession. The entire staff at Spartan Dental are very friendly and helpful whenever I schedule appointments or have billing question and assisting Dr. Koutros in taking care of my teeth. My entire family goes to Spartan Dental for over 15 Years and I would highly recommended Dr. Koutros / Spartan for all your dental needs. I have been a patient at spartan dental for about 2 years now. I have Medicaid and they have always been amazing with me and my children. They are very helpful in making sure I know what is covered and what isn't and if they can suggest a way for me to get the care I need some where affordable they always will. From the moment we called Spartan Dental to set up our son’s first tooth - first appointment, we were pleased with the experience. Stephanie is amazing ! She was thorough in answering all of our questions and so accommodating to our hectic schedule. All of the staff were energetic and eager to make our 6 months old son’s experience memorable. I just had my first appointment with Dr. Koutros. I have to say, hands down, that was the best visit I have ever had. Dr. Koutros spent time to completely analyze my x-rays and explain in detail what would have to happen to get my teeth healthy and looking brand new. I have never had a dentist take the time he did to fully answer any and all of my questions and then show me on my x-rays what everything was in detail. I am not easily impressed and that office blew it out of the park. From the time I stepped in to the time I left, it was nothing less than excellent. I definitely found my happy place with Spartan Dental.

They Retaliate against you!!!!! SHAME! I went to Spartan Dental with my family for a few years. When an issue with the insurance presented on 2015, they never contacted me or my husband even though they had our phone numbers and I never got any mail. a year later I received a Call from a Collection Agency stating I was in collection. I called Spartan Dental and the office manager very rudely said that they won't talk to me to talk to the collection agency. When I called again I spoke to the secretary who advised they never changed my address when I moved and gave it to them and that's the reason I didn't get any bill. They didn't have my new insurance info even after I gave them the card the las time I went. When I called my insurance they stated they never received the claim but they will pay them anyways. a few years later I called to get an appointment for my son and they said that because I had that issue they won't see him even if it has nothing to do with his policy. I was very upset because they relataliated against my whole family just because they have this issue with the insurance. SHAME, SHAME,SHAME.

I have come to Dr. Koutros for many, many years, What can i say about his office besides the fact that they are the BEST EVER!!!!! Him and his staff are very professional and very friendly, I have a very busy schedule and they are always more than happy to accommodate my appointments in a timely manner. When I moved to RI 9 years ago I wanted a quality dental service for my children. My children have state dental and it was very hard to find quality care with this type of insurance in RI. We came to Spartan Dental and have been hooked since. The quality service and care we receive is impeccable. They have created a caring, family environment. They know you and your family by first name. They build rapport with each and every client. I would recommend them to everyone.

Spartan dental is the best place to get you're teeth done! The staff is wonderful very caring , polite , and patient with you . Before I came here I was petrified of The dentist and dental work , but DR. Koutros changed that for me ! I have gone to Spartan Dentistry 3 times and each time was sent to oral surgeons. I have medicaid and can't afford that. Now the office dismissed me because I can't afford to continue out of pocket treatment. If i could I wouldn't have medicaid insurance. The office makes you feel like scum if you are on medicaid so if you have that insurance DON'T GO THERE.

I have been with them for literally 9 years and they are the BEST place EVER.....not only am i a huge baby with needles but I have hated the dentist the majority of my life. Every time I go there they are so kind and calm my baby nerves down so I act like an adult and don't cry like a 5 year old......best part on how much I love them is I fly from Florida to come seem them, and they ALWAYS fit my in when I give them short notice (if that doesn't tell you how great they are NOTHING WILL).....on top of this they are so affordable and work with you....I DON'T have insurance and they always help me figure the drama of money out....I will stay with them until I either kick the bucket or they retired hopefully the first because I don't want to leave them......and let me be clear EVERYONE is amazing from the front when you walk in to the dentist himself....you can't go wrong with this practice and you won't regret it because they will make your smile beautiful again :)

I have going to spartan dental for a while now along with my husband & my 3 children.. the coworkers there are amazing. Always will to work around a schedule that worked for you. My family never had a problem with this dentist. We also have state medical & Medicare / medicaid.. Anyways ONLY WORDS I HAVE FOR THE WONDERULY WORKERS AT SPARTAN DENTAL IS THERE AMAZING . They make you feel comfortable when working on your teeth or waiting in there waiting room .. I recommend them to everyone I know .. Sometimes things that people want & there Insurance don’t cover so they will send you somewhere else to try n help you not spend a lot of money or any money at all.. To the wonderful workers at spartan dental I just want you know you guys are amazing n do a wonderful job with adults n children ..

My wife Nancy and I have been coming here for 3 years now for routine cleanings my wife's bridge and root canal. The cool thing about Nicki, Elias, Stephanie and crew are that they don't just treat us like customers but more like FAMILY. They are especially delicate and gentle with children and both of our kids have had very positive experiences here with stuffed animals teaching them the basics of keeping the cavity monsters away! I have been with Spartan dental for well over 10 years. Never had any issues with communication or treatment. Over the years Spartan dental has become family. My kids look forward to going to the dentist which if anyone who has kids no its a plus. We have state medical and was never refused service. They have always went above and beyond to help my family. At one point when i had no medical at all i was not refused service. When we have had to pay out if pocket the pricing was always reasonable and lowerly priced then other dentists. I would recommend this dentist to any and everyone!! Anyone who claims that they have had a bad experience at this dental office obviously has a personal inner problem that a dentist cannot fix. Maybe a psychiatrist though!!

I would highly recommend Dr. Koutros. As a person with an intense fear of the dentist, I had not been in 25+ years (shameful!!). Dr. Koutros was very, very nice and understanding, as well as patient. I have very limited coverage and RIGHT FROM THE FIRST APPOINTMENT, I was apprised by Nikki, Stephanie AS WELL AS DR. KOUTROS of what would be covered and what would not be covered. For the people like me with limited coverage (that includes Medicaid coverage too), You should be doing your research and contacting your insurance company to find out what is covered... If you don't, this office will make you well aware and will discuss payment options with you at the beginning. If you are expecting a "free ride" because you have "Medicaid", get that thought right out of your head, silly! It is NOT Dr. Koutros who sets your coverage, its the STATE and/or Insurance Companies!!! I was lucky enough to have Dr. Koutros accept my limited coverage and even work out a payment plan with me PRIOR to him doing any work- LETS BE CLEAR- there was NO surprise to me about coverage! He is gentle and has an awesome bedside manner. I was treated with respect and made to feel like I was an important patient. He is always on time and in the event of emergency, he tells you that he WANTS to hear from you. I love this office and I also love that I am no longer afraid of the dentist, Thanks to Dr. Koutros!!! I love my teeth now and he does an EXCELLENT JOB!!!

not sure about the lady at the counter that the other review was mentioning but the dentist is the best dentist I've ever been to in my entire life!! I've been to several dentists in the last few months and this guy pointed out things going on in my mouth that no other dentist ever even brought up.. not that I'm proud of this but apparently I have periodontal disease and Spartan dental is the one that told me about it. no one else at any other office even brought it up... I found my new dentist!

I've been a patient at Spartan dental for many years now. My mother recomended them to me after having a great experience there. Dr. Koutros and the rest of the staff are knowledgable and friendly. My husband is also a patient there. He switched from his old dentist to Spatan dental because he had a dental emergency and his dentist wouldn't see him on such sort notice and sent him to the ER. I called Spartan dental and they fit him in that same day. We were very greatful because he was in a lot pain. I also bring my three little boys and they love it. Since Dr. Koutros starts seeing children as soon as they get their first tooth, my kids are so familiar with the dentist office that they don't fear getting cleanings or any other dental work. We've experienced only one issue over the years regarding insurance coverage and it was handled promptly and pleasantly. My husband and I moved about forty minutes away last year. Although it'd be more convenient to find a dentist closer to us, we choose to travel to Spartan dental because we love it there.

I experienced the worst service at this place. One of the staff was very ignorant towards me because I was using my phone while I was in the waiting room and reported to me that “ I wasn’t at home to be acting as if I was home” simply because I was on the phone. I would have understand if I was being loud but I wasn’t even loud at all. The staff also stated that she is the owner of the dental client and she could do whatever she feels like. I have never been treated this poorly and I have never felt so disrespected. I was the only one at the office at the time and I was there for over an hour with my kids, no wonder they hardy have any service. I truly wouldn’t recommend anyone to this place.

Best experience every. I have two young boys who never wanted to go to the dentist I’ve tied 3 different place and they always cried once I said dentist until I went to spartan dentist Stephanie and Nikki at the front desk welcome the boys so well they didn’t care I was not going to the back with them.
